I got the Cherry Suede CD today. Some very nice songs to be heard. Will appeal to fans of Bryan Adams, Bon Jovi (later albums) and perhaps fans of Goo Goo Dolls & the like...

Actually that listing must include several people with the name David Cole as more that three quaters of the list is for albums post '95 right up til 2007. He must have enjoyed his work so much that he's been doing a bit of mixing beyond the grave?? But seriously if he did in fat produce Blue Tears album he does deserve full credit. RIP

I like em. Good stuff! The vocals reminds me of Bryan Adams more than anyone else. I'll def be checking them out further. Thanks!

Yeah I'm with you Geoff - I think all of these artists have some HH worthy albums but definately NOT their entire catalogue. I think Bryan Adams up til Waking Up The Neighbours, Richard Marx first 3 albums and if I had my way Paid Vacation, Days In Avalon and My Own Best Enemy would be in there as well. While both of these artists did become most well known for their ballads and yes that damn Robin Hood song, if you go back over their works you will find some top quality rockers in there as well, many of which never got the attention they deserve. Oh and Geoff can you tell me which Cher albums/songs you are refering to and I'll check them out. Anyhow, I just wanted to get some other peoples thoughts on this one so thanks for all the replys. Cheers Hey mate, The 3 Cher albums (shamefully) worth checking out are: s/t (1987) 'Heart of stone' (1989) 'Love hurts' (1991) All of them have Desomnd Child / Diane Warren written all over them and 'Heart of stone' is especially excellent. Cool thanks Geoff. Well I'm (shamefully) going to check those out. I'm biding on a boxed set which was released through Geffen and contains all three of those CD's. I fail to see where Counting Crows and Radiohead come into this question??

Yeah I'm thinking that will be the general consensus but it'll still be interesting to see. I know Richard Marx is a bit light and fluffy but he does write some beautiful melodic music and he does have some great rockin' moments as well.

Should the following artists be permitted in the Heavy Harmonies database? Bryan Adams Richard Marx Personally, I think both of these artists have as much relevance to melodic rock as so many other artists who can already be found in Heavy Harmonies such as Rick Price, John Farnham, Harry Hess (solo), Danny Wilde etc. etc. In particular albums such as Bryan Adams - Waking Up The Neighbours and all of Richard Marx's early albums, I feel are very suited. So I say yes, definately to both of them. Your thoughts?
