  1. I probably should have posted in the Christian thread, hopefuly Dan will move it for me.
  2. 1. Theres still time 2. Alien 3. Free for all 4. Rescued for a reason 5. Intensive care 6. New creation 7. Saviour 8. Surrendering 9. Praise him Anyone know this one? I picked up a second hand vinyl copy of this years ago as part of a bulk buy and got rid of it soon after without playing it. According to a seller on E-Bay (who wants US $300 for it), "this album is gold among collectors of AOR music especially by Christian artists! This ranks in the top 2-3 rarest in this genre and has garnered MUCH respect in secular circles for it smooth keyboards and tight production". AOR FM calls it "white AOR" and describes it as "classic pompy Aor with nice layered keys and vocal harmonies that you could only pray for" All I know is it was released in 1985 on Emerald Records and produced by Dan Collins but the line-up is unknown. Any thoughts? Has anyone heard this? For those who want to check it out, go to this blog: flipsidemn blog where you can download it

  4. whered you get the Safire from? Havnt you already got on? or was that someone else? Got Safire from an Aussie E-Bay seller. I think he may be a band member. Same first name but when I asked him about it I got no response. did he have any more? Not sure, I just checked and yes it is the guitarist that I bought it from. I'll let you know if I can find anything out.
  5. Thanks again for sampling me in mate. I completely agree with that statement. The word I was going to use is 'explosive'. It's a very good CD, but not quite as explosive as the debut. No fillers, which is always nice. Maybe a little more mature and a little more laid back? Definitely looking forward to more spins though. Mate, just a little note about the two bonus tracks. Do you have the 'Use Me EP' released before 'Dear Diary'? Here's the track list for that one: 1. Use Me - Radio 2. One In A Million 3. Broken Dreams 4. About A Pretty Girl From A Far Away Town 5. When Goodbye Means Forever Let me know if you want to hear that too and I'll up you a copy. The 4 non album tracks (now 2 Jap bonus tracks) are all killer. No I don't have the EP. I've seen it quite often on E-Bay for cheap so I'll have to pick up a copy from there.
  6. Nice haul mate. Good to see you pick up that Plunge disc. I assume from NEH? Seen that in a lot of sales recently and well worth the coin. Just out of curiosity, where'd you get the Cauterize CDs from? Maple Records direct? That place is sooooo freakin' slow - still waiting for my shirts. Did you get Janstate from the same place you got Kid Courageous? Yeah I like that Plunge CD. I can't recall where that one came from, just a normal E-Bay auction I think. I'm still waiting on my NEH order. Got 2 of the Cauterize discs from Maple, the other one 'So Far From Real' I think, came from E-bay, a US seller. Now all I need is Paper Wings but it rarely shows up and can be expensive. Janstate I got from an Aussie seller for $15.
  7. whered you get the Safire from? Havnt you already got on? or was that someone else? Got Safire from an Aussie E-Bay seller. I think he may be a band member. Same first name but when I asked him about it I got no response.

  9. The album they don't want the fans to own. At least that's how it seems... Well thanks to CDJapan I now own a copy! Basically, if you liked their debut, you will probably like this one too. Very similar in style. Maybe a little less puch to it. I've only played it once so far but there are definately some great songs on there. The Japanese version has 2 bonus tracks (total of 13 tracks) so it might be worth buying that version and not bothering with the Australian release after all.
  10. Most of this bands stuff was a bit too new-wave/synthy for my liking but 'Race' is very good and shows that they can write some good rock songs as well. I also have 'Best Adventures' which is good if you want more of an overview of the bands different styles.
  11. I like the album artwork - something KISS always do well.
  12. I purchased the MP3's for Richard Marx's 'Duo' album a year or two ago. Only cause they were'nt going to be available any other way. But I think a CD is now available. I plan to avoid the whole i-tunes revolution. I actually read that while single sales were rapidly declining for physical cd singles, album sales for physical cd albums was remaining quite steady.
  13. I got a rough MP3 sample of this song sent to me by someone who recorded part of SYTYCD...I think the lyrics put down by Geoff are quite accurate but it's proving impossible to find out who did this song. I'd love to find out who it is as it's a top sounding tune.
  14. 'My Own Worst Enemy' will always be a fav of mine. Very sad news. RIP.
  15. Chris Antblad - 'Fools Rush In' is another good one.
  16. Yeah I agree. This forum seems to run very smoothly and you don't get dick heads causing trouble all the time.
  17. I'm very late to the party on this one, This arrived today and I'm playing it for the first time now. Absolutely wonderful melodic/pop-rock/blues/AOR album. Looking around on the net is seems pretty well known and has lots of great reviews. For those who haven't heard of it, it features Kenney Jones (Small Faces/The Who/The Law), Rick Wills (Peter Frampton/Roxy Music/Small Faces/Bryan Ferry/David Glimour/Foreigner/Bad Co), Robert Hart (The Distance/Bad Co/Company Of Snakes). Any other fans? I'm really loving this one. 'Angel' and 'Six To Midnight' are my favs after the first spin. 4 years ago now, I hope there will be a second album from them. The Jones Gang on MySpace Samples can be heard at CD Baby EDIT...I just read that 'Angel' is actually a single from Robert Harts 1992 solo album, I think I have that album somewhere, will have to check it out.
  18. Yep I love this album too. Every track is a good one, but I especially love the ballad (track 3 I think)?
  19. I saw a demo cassette sell on E-Bay recently, no cover art, just the cassette with 4 tracks: 1. Lonely Man 2. Wastin' 3. Politics Of Life 4. Inside My Head It says from 1992 and made in Australia Anyone know these guys? Just curious as I've never heard of them and I'm guessing they're an Australian band if the tape was made there. Here's the E-bay link
  20. Im most interested in the new Blanc Faces....could and should be awesome. Can I get a hell yeah? It's kind of been overlooked with names like Treat and Danger Danger being thrown around this year but for the "normal" current batch of bands (not old time faves) this is easily my most anticipated release. Yeah if this track is any indication of the rest of the album it should be amazing. Has there been a release date announced? Is it on Frontiers?
  21. Any other fans here? To me Carl Baron is Australia's funniest commedian. Anyone who likes observational humour has to check him out. Plenty of stuff up on YouTube: Segment from his first DVD Carl Baron talks Australian language Carl talks about thongs
  22. Well I found a copy for sale on-line...270 Euros
  23. Anyone looking for a cool DVD to add to the collection, check out Paul Stanley - 'One Live KISS'. Released last year, the DVD was filmed in support of his solo album 'Live To Win' at the House Of Blues, Chicago in late 2006. It has a great set list consisting of not only many of the Live To Win tracks but also some lesser flogged tunes from the KISS catalogue and his first solo album (and a few over flogged ones as well). 'Hide Your Heart' from Hot In The Shade is a stunning track as is 'Everytime I See You Around' from Live To Win. His voice remains amazing and the musicians supporting him are top class as well. Highly recommended. 01. Prologue 02. Live To Win (Live To Win) 03. Hide Your Heart (Hot In The Shade) 04. A Million To One (Lick It Up) 05. Got To Choose (Hotter Than Hell) 06. Move On (P.S 1st solo record) 07. Bulletproof (Live To Win) 08. Tonight You Belong To Me (P.S 1st solo record) 09. Lick It Up (Lick It Up) 10. Wouldn't You Like To Know Me? (P.S 1st solo record) 11. Magic Touch (Dynasty) 12. I Still Love You (Creatures Of The Night) 13. Strutter (KISS) 14. Everytime I See You Around (Live To Win) 15. Do You Love Me? (Destroyer) 16. I Want You (Rock N' Roll Over) 17. Love Gun (Love Gun) 18. Lift (Live To Win) 19. Detroit Rock City (Destroyer) 20. Goodbye (P.S 1st solo record) 21. End Cridits Montage - Where Angels Dare/Live To Win
  24. For those who are going, Skid Row tix are on sale now. Looks like Candy Harlots tix are still available too. Does anyone know what the capacity of the Gaelic Club is, don't think I've ever been there.
