    Hi

    Cool website Graham and welcome!
  2. Good choice...I played that song to death years ago. Funny thing about that song was that I always thought my vinyl 12" single sounded better than the CD version. Ok so for my choice I had to go with my beloved Whitesnake and their 1989 hit 'The Deeper The Love'.
  3. I'm not sure when this was originally released but I think it was 1994 or so, though sounds like it's from the late 80's. Apparently these girls did the Baywatch song? Fans of female fronted rock/AOR might enjoy this. Pick up the 2003 re-issue with bonus tracks at CD Baby for $15 They also have their debut album 'Grand Time' for sale but CD Baby lists it as $150.00 which I'm sure must be a typo and they mean $15.00 Check it out- CD Baby
  4. One of my fav artists singing on of my fav songs.. Jeff Scott Soto (supported by Bulgarian guitarist Emo Markov) sings 'Is This Love' by Whitesnake. Link
  5. Check out this Angent Steel live clip from early days - hillarious watching how many fans jump on stage and try to rock out and keep geting thrown back. This would have been a rough show. These days the venue and security guys would be sued for throwing people back into the crowd like that, but back then I guess it was a different world. Not sure what year this is but probably mid-late 80's. Very funny, check it out. Agent Steel Clip
  6. Ok if you check out this promotional video, you can hear snippets from a whole bunch of their songs. There is some potential there. Might have to check out a full album.
  7. Ok this is an interesting one, and certainly won't be for everyone, but I stumbled across this by accident and now I'm interested. They were formed in Sweden in 2007. I'm not really sure how to describe them, other than to say they're a modern rock band with a few different styles on offer. Overall a bit too alternative sounding for me, though the song 'God Damn' is awesome which makes me wonder if they have any other good songs. If nothing else, try to check out the video for 'God Damn' here on this MySpace Link Does anyone know if this band is worth investigating further?
  8. Damnit! I've been tracking down all the original D.A.D CD's over the past year or so, nearly got them all now. But with a 160 page illustrated booklet I'm not going to pass on this one. They're certainly not a fav band of mine, with some pretty strange albums. But the collector in me had to have them.
  9. onya! They are a great band.
  10. I'm not really sure who the Northern Kings are but this video is pretty cool, it's a Melodic Metal version of the Tina Turner song
  11. Anyone know anything more about the rumour of Tobias leaving Edguy to concntrate on Avantasia?
  12. Some of the Aussies here and perhaps others may have heard the song 'Closer' on the radio lately. This is the guy who wrote that song and he has a few other goodies as well. Check out his songs here at MySpace. I guess fans of Juke Kartel, Motorace and other modern Aussie rock bands might enjoy this. Certainly worth a listen.
  13. Yeah nice song, great version of it.
  14. I have trouble with the search feature too - I can't search for multiple words eg. "joe satriani" but it does let me search for a single word eg. "satriani". Also the feature won't let me search for numbers eg. "1927"
  15. Looks like a great movie/documentary. For those in Australia this will be playing at some cinemas starting very soon.
  16. The Re-mastered CD re-issue of 1927's ...ish album should be available next month. It marks the 20th anniversary of one of Australia's most loved albums. I've heard conflicting reports as to what record label is responsible for the re-mastering. One report says Warner, another says Sony and another says Krescendo Records. I've heard from someone involved with the band that the re-master will contain bonus material but I don't know any more than that. The band should have a new website up soon as well.
  17. Sounds ok. Pale in comparison to that other band 'Grand Design' you just recommended, but def worth a listen.
  18. Awesome stuff!!!! 'Air It Out' is especially good. You can certainly hear a Def Leppard influence in these songs. If they can make an album of songs this good I'm sure they'll do well. I'd definately be interested in hearing more. Nice find!!
  19. I couldn't find an old thread on these guys; there's plenty of news... The first two 101 South albums '101 South' and 'Roll Of The Dice' have been re-issued and re-mastered with bonus tracks, new booklets and re-ordered track listing. The first album '101 South' will now be called 'Freeway Ride' and has new cover art: New artwork for Freeway Ride The second album will keep the same cover and name, but will have bonus tracks. There is also a brand new album called 'No U Turn'. No U Turn You can hear samples for all three albums and make purchases from 101 South's Website There is a package deal at the moment, $45 for all three album.
  20. Great song! I like it! Don't think I've ever heard these guys before.
  21. I just want them to play Brisbane alone!!!
  22. Ok so I've just downloaded this and so far the music is really very excellent 80's sounding Pop-Rock/AOR, lots of keyboards as I suspected but be warned the lyrics are very preachy at times. Three of the songs have a female singer.
