  1. Smokin track! If the 2 or 3 songs are of this quality I'll pony up for the new best of disc anyway. I would love to see these guys live. They'd fit in nicely at any of the summertime classic rock festivals making the rounds.
  2. Based on that track listing, 7 of the 11 are definitely songs including Asian Hooker. The only ones I haven't heard are Eyes of a Panther, Eatin aint Cheatin, Party All Day and the Shocker.
  3. Not even close. I can see why they went with the one they did.
  4. Terminator and American History X on blu ray
  5. Anberlin New Surrender (Walmart version w/ bonus trax) Warrant DRFSR remaster w/ bonus trax Vains of Jenna Lit Up Let Down
  6. Man. Can't believe I never noticed Kim Mitchell's absence from the list.
  7. Never was a fan of either of these bands. But I voted Warrant on all of 'em. Always considered Winger bumble-gum rock. Agree 100% Rob... Although the first couple times I saw Warrant live (before the release of DRFSR) they were great. I think I even picked up that releasethe first day it came out based on the live shows. It is actually the only release by either band that I slip in the player every now and then. Rob...Did you see any of Warrant's shows at Hammerjacks prior to the release of the debut? I saw them one time and was like "Who the f&ck is Warrant?". They were pretty good too. Was a little disappointed in DRFSR. Live they were much better. Hey Rob and LVKix Heard mention of Hammerjack's from the two of you. Either of you see Circle of Soul play there on May 18 ,1991? One of my fave bands. I picked up what was supposedly a live demo of 3 songs from that show but it turned out to be a 3 song advance cassette of their Hands of Faith album advertising their Hammerjacks gig. Oh well.
  8. I am actually more shocked at the $5 Stephen Pearcy cover price than the bloated $250 U2 tickets. Getting gouged no matter the band just seems to be the norm nowadays.
  9. Yea. Never gave these guys a chance before. I assumed they were a rap rock outfit like Limp Bizkit. My older brother said he really liked a tune he heard on the radio which made me think twice since his two biggest influences are Carl Dixon and Santers. Then I heard Lifeline on the radio about a month ago. Love that tune! Plan on picking up Metamorphosis over the border next week and if the Paramour Sessions are better than Lifeline, guess I'll grab that one, too.
  10. His name is Matt Henry and he plays running back for the University of Manitoba Bisons. The injury happened in the 2007 championship game.
  11. Yea. I was at that game. It was my alma mater playing for the Vanier Cup (Canadian University's football championship, which they won. Go Bisons!). Pretty gruesome! Miraculously he came back the next year to lead the team in rushing again.
  12. The Strangers. Thought it was pretty creepy!
  13. Yes. Babylon AD's version off their s/t is a lot better than Baton Rouge's (off Light out on the Playground) Further to... Babylon AD's version of Psychedelic Sex Reaction smokes Randy Jackson's version.
  14. The Cult Love in part one with Accept and Dokken dueling for second. In part 2 I take Y&T and their exceedingly desperate attempt at a commercial hit Down for the Count. It may not have brought them fame and fortune but man, there are some catchy songs on it!
  15. Buckcherry Black Butterfly Thin Lizzy Bad Rep Thin Lizzy Vagabonds Ravenous soundtrack
  16. Gotta agree with zacharyamelie. The musicianship is top shelf and ultra catchy; I wish more acts could reproduce that 80s sound with as much authenticity as Parrish and the boys. But yeah, the lyrics seem to take the lowest common denominator approach and then lower it a few bars more. From what I've heard of it, Hole Patrol perfectly lampooned the genre with enough creativity that hardcore fans could still enjoy the send up. Video is awesome though and and I'm still dying to see their live show in Vegas one day. And if anyone has an extra original copy of Hole Patrol, dial my number. When does the Steel Panther disc come out?
  17. I agree. Tesla on nearly all accounts. I took Man in Motion over Five Man. I know their version of Signs is probably their most identifiable hit but it's never been one of my personal faves. Plus I really like Man in Motion. Big Life came close to Bust a Nut but I love Tesla too much to give Night Ranger the edge there. Cool poll.
  18. For instance, Vivian Campbell has sucked donkey balls since he joined Def Leppard?? I hate the donkey for allowing Vivian Cambell to suck on his balls!
