  1. Totally agree. Nonetheless I met Ian Astbury and Billy Duffy backstage after their last gig in Wpg. Both were cordial and posed for photos. Also met Rhino Bucket after a club gig. Followed up their smokin set by offering me and my pal beers backstage. The epitome of cool!!
  2. GNR for sure. But within the hard rock community and based on the Skids/Bach feud maybe that one would be bigger. IMO, bringing back the original vocalist is the bigger coup. Yes, nowadays traditionalists view Rose and co. as nothing more than a glorified cover band, but close your eyes and it sounds close enough to what you'd expect vintage GNR to sound like 20 years later. Live that is. And for the record, I really like Chinese Democracy. Whereas, there is no mistaking Poley back in D2 and the energy Bach brings to the stage would be otherworldly back in Skid Row. Hopefully I'll get the chance to see both reunions happen. While it may not make perfect sense from a business standpoint (more $$$$ to be made on individual tours) the Axl/Seb friendship provides the perfect angle for a Skid/GNR reunion tour together. High time the two of them make it up to the fans for all those wasted years.
  3. Had to cancel/postpone Friday's concert in my home town because of the Sturgis fall.
  4. Missed them last year unfortunately. Is Jeff Scott Soto touring with them again this year?
  5. Anyone have any idea where to grab their nowhere to hide cd? Not sure I want to drop the $30+ on Amazon for this one. Any dissatified buyers looking to dump theirs in a trade?
  6. Check em out at: http://www.myspace.com/officialhardroad The line up consists of: Russ Graham (Killer Dwarfs, Moxy): Lead Vocals, Guitar Earl Johnson (Moxy, King Biscuit Boy): Guitar, Vocals Rick Lazaroff (Santers): Bass Morgan Evans (Lee Aaron, Julliet, Killer Bee): Drums Sounds promising.
  7. Yeah pre-order at NEH Records Perfect. Thanks fahrenheit.
  8. One of my favorite bands so I was automatically getting this. Finally heard the samples and they don't disappoint. Nice mix of debut era D2, post debut, solo Ted and I can detect a nu breed riff or two as well in a coupla spots. Yup. Think I covered everything there with the world's most vague review. Bottom line: can't wait for this to get released! Anyone know any outlets with it available for preorder?
  9. Can't remember for sure but I think Tyketto's 3rd disc with Augeri on vox falls into this category.
  10. Hilarious! I missed them last year in Vegas (conflicted with the Ray Romano/Kevin James tickets I already bought) but for my own selfish reasons I hope they aren't touring outside the country in late Sept so I can catch their Green Valley Resort show Friday Sept 25.
  11. Yea. Woulda preferred a more punchy sound to it. They maxed out the fluff factor kinda like this generation's version of the Bay City Rollers. Call it a guilty pleasure though. Very catchy and Suicide Sunday is my favorite, too.
  12. Friday Night Boys Off the Deep End Search the City
  13. I like it. Can't for the life of me figure out how Bun E Carlos and the kid from Hanson end up in a room together and decide to form a band. But I like both the tunes I've heard so far. Will definitely be on the look out for this one.
  14. Nevertheless In the Making Social Code
  15. I like this song. Haven't really followed Europe since Prisoners but I'll give their new one a go based on Last Look At Eden.
  16. The UK version of Slide it In is heavier than the US version? What about Slip? Same thing? I wouldn't mind checking out a punchier version of either.

  19. Can't wait to hear W.E.T. JSS can do no wrong imo. After hearing his versions of So This is Love and Light Up the Sky, damn if I didn't think he woulda been a great fit for VH after Roth left.
