  1. Vito Bratta is one of my all time faves. Now I know absolutely nothing about playing guitar so I'm basing everything on how it sounds to me. What do you guys think of Sid "Boogie" Fletcher from Roxy Blue?
  2. Heard Marianas Trench's single Cross my Heart on a station my wife had on in our car. Really like that tune. You can check them out here: http://www.myspace.com/marianastrench
  3. Must be close now going by their Management's comments on their My Space page a week ago 8 Mar 2009 12:37 PM Congrat's 1RKO guyz for the official nomination " ROCK ALBUM OF THE YEAR," for 1RKO- First Round Knockout soon to debut CD release!!! The best rock to come out of Hollywood in more than a decade indeed! ;-) Sending lot's of love & good luck vibrations your way! It's heating up in Los Angeles these days! Have a great Sunday! Haven't given this one much consideration just yet but I definitely will since the band features ex Circle of Soul bassist Brian Spangenberg. One of my all time favorite bands!
  4. I've been waiting for them to release a full length album since Rockstar: Supernova ended. Finally... December is a smokin' tune but Throw it Away got me interested in the band.
  5. But isn't Bullock married to Jesse James whose exwife happens to be porn star Janine Lindmulder? Can't imagine him living a bj free life now that he's chained to Sandy. Or did "never even entertained such a thought" simply refer to the improbability of an onscreen hummer?
  6. Dude, don't even get me started on Rage Against the Machine... when it came to politically charged rock, Warrior Soul did it 1000x better You want to hear something funny? google around a little bit, until you can find audio of a band called Downset! they are a hardcore/rap/crossover band that is literally from Compton, and Watts, it,s 3 Mexicans, 1 Aryan, and 1 Black, look for a song called Anger, he straight clowned Zach DeLarocha and Tom Morello the entire 2 hours they played live, on Anger singer says (about or to Zach DeLarocha) "Im coming straight from the L.A. concrete, true blue motherfucker about four generations deep, but whos the real motherfucking mole, and what does that fake know about motherfucking south central, Fool what you know about a set or a sign, fake motherfuckers never even seen a 9", when I catch him slippin punk Im gonna fade ya, cause I cant be down with those ghetto perpatraitors" I only know who he's talking about from seeing them live, when they dedicated that song to the "Pretty Little Jew Band" and "the band that gives you the point of view from the poor section of upperclass suburbia, they came from the projects where the average income is only $500,000, a year" Haven't found the band yet. But, OUCH!
  7. Thanks for the info on the bonus tracks. But now that I see it includes two more versions of Louie Louie, I can stick with my original. I agree with Mullethead. They did all they could with it but the original is just a shit song to begin with. I love Autograph but this one flew under the radar for me. I think I finally caught wind of it 5 or 6 years after its initial release and it instantly became my favorite new cd that year. If you are into Autograph/Plunk definitely check out Sic Vikki's first cd. Plunk cowrites most (all?) of the songs with singer Richie Cox and the backing vocals are eerily similar to that of Autograph.
  8. I'm with Wes. Great, great band! Backed tenfold. One of my personal favorites. All 3 albums are fantastic. Hopefully Revolution Day will one day see a proper release.
  9. The Lookout starring the kid from 3rd Rock from the Sun. It was filmed locally. Actually a pretty good movie.
  10. I was in a poorly lit, dusty old dungeon called Chochy's Pawn scanning row after row of cds destined for skeet shooting. And just when I thought that solid hour of bad angle bending, Clint Eastwood squinting and tilting your head so it rests on your shoulder blade so you can make out the cd's title was going to be rewarded with Simon Says Spin This, I discover it is only the back insert adorning the jewel case of yet another Take That cd. Ugh!
  11. Crown Royal - world's greatest rye whiskey. It deserves to be savoured though so for binge drinking I go with Capt Morgan's Spiced Rum with Coke. Goes down like root beer. Not nearly as flavourful coming up, however.
  12. From the list X Men. Otherwise Iron Man. I'm seeing Watchmen Friday night.
  13. Never got around to getting their 2nd disc. How was that one? Close enough to the debut to warrant buying?
  14. Slik Toxik Irrelevant: never really liked it but Twenty Something was an awesome song I'd love to have back on my Ipod. Who knows? Maybe I'd appreciate this album more now but at the time I was let down by the direction the band went in after Doin the Nasty. Easy Action That Makes One: copied it and went trolling for easy money on Ebay. Got a decent price but not nearly what one would get nowadays. Babylon AD s/t: figured I'd easily find another one second hand so I traded it off. In retrospect I never should have made this deal.
  15. Cripes. Meant to post this one here. Oh well. Apologies in advance if these 2 bands have been mentioned previously. More easygoing than Anberlin and Madina Lake but in the same modern rock ballpark I think: http://www.myspace.com/nevertheless I like Sleeping In and Cross My Heart http://profile.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea...iendID=39423193 Faves from Remedy Drive are Stand Up and Daylight

  17. Nope. Backed 1000%!! Killer F.N. band!!
  18. Any word on when the rest of the lineup will be announced? I saw they added Great White and Twisted Sister to go along with Nelson, Keel and Kix.
  19. Awesome tune. Thanks for the link. Great band. I have everyone of their albums with Mystery Road being my personal fave. I like Kevn Kinney's solo stuff, too.
  20. Thanks. I'll try that ripping webpages link and see how it goes. I have everything My Little Funhouse has committed to cd. Obviously I'm a huge fan. These 3 songs are the last ones (that I'm aware of anyway) that they recorded, presumably for a second cd that never was released. IF you like Standunder, check out those 3 tunes on their myspace page. If not avoid. Anyway sorry to taint your Blackfish thread. If I get a hold of Blackfish 2 I will definitely let everyone know about it here.
  21. There were 2 on Ebay from the same seller. One went for $72.50 and the other stalled at the opening bid of $25. Since he had no feedback whatsoever I emailed him and he told me they were both originals obtained at the benefit concert. Then he only listed the second auction for US bidders so I didn't have a chance to throw my bid out there. Both buyers left positive feedback. Not sure what's involved in uploading them but I'd love those 3 tunes until I can get my greedy little hands on the real deal. BTW How do you rip from Myspace? I'd love to get the 3 tunes posted on My Little Funhouse's myspace page, too. Any help there? http://www.myspace.com/mylittlefunhouse
  22. I'm pulling for Fitzgerald and the Cards but back on earth I expect the Steelers to snap Warner in half.
