  1. Yea these boys rock! They get a lot of airplay here in their homeland! You guys have to hear the song Bounce. Lovercall may be my second fave Danko tune, but I love Bounce infinitely more. If it doesn't get you moving you're dead! They are opening for Sebastian Bach and GNR in January so I'll get to see them live. I think the Phil Lynott comparison is a fair one. Definitely a very modern Lizzy vibe imho. Very cool!
  2. Did you end up getting this one, mate? I'm going to keep bumping this thread like I did that Change of Pace one until I'm satisfied with the response. I fear the band name is keeping people away from what I honestly believe is one of the best CDs of the year. Every spin it climbs up a few places on my best of list for the year and pretty soon it'll overtake Monty Are I at number one. Every song is so awesome and I really can see no excuse why melodic rock fans won't love this. At times it's almost like a slightly more pop / current version of Wig Wam! (And NO, I do not mean it sounds like Wig Wam - they just remind me of them in song-writing objective). The chrouses are so f*cking huge and catchy. The fact is, if 'Heart heart heartbreak' popped up on a Wig Wam CD people would be wild about this stuff. Brilliant disc and contrary to what I said above, I do prefer this to the great debut. She's coming in the day after Christmas so I still haven't heard it yet. Plan on playing it the second it is in my possession.
  3. Wow! Catchy stuff! Looking forward to hearing more from them (aside from the two tunes on myspace). Points deducted for looking like Mabel era Mike Tramp but he gains them all back for having the coolest stage name I've heard in awhile; Oliver Twisted!
  4. I like the lead off track. Obviously the band never met a cliche they couldn't work into a song but I love this album. Good times!
  5. Roth wrote the book and gets my vote but Bach is an absolute madman live visually and vocally.
  6. Neverland Backed 100% Also a great CD !! :headbanger: Make that 1000% if this is the Neverland featuring Dean Ortega and Patrick Sugg. What a monster debut; highly underrated. Would love to hear anything else by them (excluding Surreal World that is. Not that I hated it but with Bump on vocals it's not even in the same ballpark).
  7. We Belong is my favorite, too. What a song!!!
  8. I've been playing their myspace tunes non stop since you brought these guys to my attention. Boss and 77; you sir, are on a helluva roll. Nice work!
  9. Love Bon Scott and these guys certainly do a good job emulating that era. Still prefer Rhino Bucket but I wouldn't mind picking this album up at all. Very cool find.
  10. I'm with you guys. He certainly isn't out uglying Nick Nolte's mugshot. Also agree with whoever said Stanley is creeping into MJ territory.
  11. I'm liking this. Think Tim2 sums it up perfectly.
  12. My local paper had an article on Steel Panther and talked with Michael Starr about their chart topping album. Favorite line: Darryl Sterdan: Gene Simmons took Polaroids of groupies. What do you take to remember them by? Starr: We don't really like to take pictures of chicks; we like to keep the memory. Because when you're totally hammered and partying, chicks look way hotter than they do when you're sober. We prefer to leave it looking like they did when we were drunk. LMAO!
  13. Bought it off Amazon.com pre release but my US shipping address is in North Carolina so I'm waiting for my friend to bring it with her at Christmas. Refuse to listen to it until it arrives. But I know I won't be disappointed in the least!
  14. I'll definitely be picking up all 3 of these releases. Great band. I agree with Heaven&Hell: let's see a proper release of their 3rd cd already!
  15. Easily one of the funniest horror films I've seen is Dead Alive directed by none other than Peter Jackson. Check it out if you ever get the chance. Hilarious!
  16. Forgot to ask if anyone has checked out their current photo in the database? Just wondering if it left you asking the same question as me: When did Larry David get fitted for red leather pants and join the band?
  17. Huge fan of Loverboy and aside from VI (although I have yet to hear Started), I don't think you could pass over any of their back catalogue, imo. Plenty to hear there besides their greatest hits. Turn me Loose was never one of my favorites. Kid is Hot Tonite is one of my all time favorite tracks and Love Will Rise Again is next in line for me. Awesome live band, too!
  18. Living proof that I should have found some way to make that gig. Killer stuff!
  19. Modern rock/power pop with a great vocalist imo. Their myspace page states they are in studio and they have no song samples up there but if anyone's interested you can check them out at purevolume.com or Itunes. Not a bad band. Right on right now is a killer track and really shows Alec Cyganowski's vocal range. http://www.purevolume.com/powerspace
  20. Impressive list and impressive recollection of the bunch.
  21. I have the 2000 Rewind version and 30 Days is not on it.

    W.E.T

Agreed, although I'll need to give it a start to finish spin before they officially unseat Danger Danger. You can preorder through Amazon.com for $13.99 US.
  23. Backed. Great cover. I'm assuming these Brazilian issues aren't including it either?
  24. Cool vid. Sick moves on Jones' run at the 29 sec mark. Looked 1994 fresh on his long run yesterday, too. Showed a tremendous burst of speed against the Bills on that one. No NFL time for Boo?
  25. Incredible set list. So wish I was there. That's what I'm talking about (along with keep on keepin on) is my favorite track off Revolve so very cool to see it's inclusion.
