  1. Top discs IMO. The Trivium is killer (so is their new one). Love their completely over the top 80s approach, but just can't get used to the screamo-parts. The band just finished recording a new album and from what they say they left out those parts for most of the songs, so I'm definately looking forward to the upcoming disc.
  2. These guys have a new EP coming up and I wouldn't be surprised if they get signed to a Major label in the near future following in the footsteps of Reckless Love. Seriously, I think this is one hell of a band and with a little guidance of a great producer they could go far. Check out "Anthem for the Young and Restless" and "Over the Limit from the upcoming EP: Santa Crut Hitlantis
  3. Seems like there's a little delay... Looking forward to the new releases!
  4. It's pretty hard to narrow it down to 3 releases, but I'd name the following ones: 1. Pretty Boy - Metro Sessions 2. The Storm - Sweet Surrender 3. Michael Furlong - Use it or Lose it Looking forward to 4th of July! Great work guys Btw: I think you should push your private collection CD-sale a bit more - some great deals there that a lot of people probably don't know about.
  5. Chris Laney is going to release his third album later this year!
  6. You're very welcome mate! Thanx for all the work you put into these lists, much appreciated!
  7. Just to add some rather unknown Swedish sleaze-bands supposedly to release albums in 2011: Baby Jane – TBA (Rambo Music/Sony) Close Quarters – We Believe in Rock'n'Roll (Rambo Music/Sony) July TrashQueen – TBA Pretty Wild – TBA Debbie Ray – TBA + Bai Bang – Livin' my Dream
  8. Bai Bang have a new album coming out (of the blue for me) in July through AOR/Metal-Heaven Records called "Livin' my Dream". Samples for 3 songs are available on Metalheaven...use the player on the right side of the page. I like them quite a lot, especially "Come on".
  9. Hey thanks for the shout-out and the Hinder comparison, on which I definately agree! Never cared for this band, but now I pre-ordered their newbie.

Completely agree Geoff! After Rocket Ride it seemed like a major disappointment, but it is a grower and still a mighty fine disc in my eyes. Surprisingly, somehow the production doesn't match up with their previous two discs though.
  11. I've spun Supercharger's second album "That's how we Roll" a lot in the past months and I think it's great stuff! Dare I say that the vocals are a bit more melodic now, as they've worked with Anders Ringman (sidekick of Chris Laney) and the songwriting is more diverse. Really cool album imo!
  12. So, went for the Scandinavian version in the end. This is definately better than their debut (which I liked a lot as well). Love the first 8 tracks, after that it's a bit hit and miss for me, but it's a great disc overall!
  13. Nice to hear you had a great time! The second guitarist is Joel Eliasson from Innocent Rosie (remember "Bad habit romance"?) from what I've read in interviews. Unfortunately, it seems like that band isn't around anymore. How was the new track? I don't recall a lot about the track itself other than thinking it seemed good and was sort of a "sing along" track. I'm kicking myself a bit I should have asked them how much they had written for their next release. I read in a recent interview that they have around 15 songs ready for recording in fall. But the album probably won't be out until early 2012.

I feel like a stranger, but I actually like "Tinnitus Sanctus", although quite a few tracks took a lot of spins. Stand-out tracks on TS to my ears are: Dead or Rock and

  16. Here's the song for your listening pleasure: Some of you folks more into AOR might enjoy this one as well. One of my very fave songs of the year!
  17. Enjoy the concert mate, should be a good one! They really care a lot for the fans and I'm surprised they don't get more respect. One of very few "young" bands who are really into 'making it', not just recording an album, then playing a couple of shows and fade away.
  18. I'm only on my 2nd spin of the CD so I'll have to get back to you on that...other than "78" and the country ballad, which jumped out @ me right away (the first one cuz it kicked ass, and the second because it was so strange) the rest hasn't had time to "gel" yet. Okay, cool! To me this song has "Hit" written all over it, so I'm interested to hear your opinion. Yeah, the country ballad "Gone Baby Gone" is quite nice as well! Love the Stones vibe.
  19. The whole album's a little bit too "punk" for my taste, BUT there are definately some excellent songs on offer. "All you need" in particular stood out for me and I really like "Trick of the Wrist" and the two bonus tracks ("Another Night in the Sun", "You're next"). I'm not sure if I prefer it over the last Hanoi Rocks disc...probably not. But I have a lot of respect for Michael Monroe and I'm really looking forward to his future releases. What's your take on "All you need"?
  20. It's been a long between drinks, but they have a new album out, although in Japan only for the moment! It's called "Dead Decade", for anyone interested.
  21. Got it in the mail today and I'm definately impressed! Agree with Geoff on them not being in the same league as Crazy Lixx or Crashdiet yet, but for a couple of young guys who've been together for only about two years this is very good stuff. Recommended! And yeah, Martin Sweet seems to become a damn good producer as well, nice job!
  22. Ordered this disc late last week, so I hope it arrives any day now! Great band and attitude!
  23. Wow, surprised to read such a harsh statement! For me, this is one of very few covers-albums that actually works fine and I think they are doing a pretty good job adding their twist to the songs. Looking forward to hearing new material from these guys much more though! First Spin Impression (well actually, a couple more spins): Supercharger - That's how we Roll: Much more diverse than their debut, adding quite a bit of a southern-rock vibe on some songs. Co-Produced by Anders Ringman (Chris Laney's sidekick from Platform days), this is more melodic than "Handgrenade Blues", the vocals are cleaner, the arrangements bigger. I like it a lot. Check these guys out!
  24. Wow, just checked out the samples over at cdjapan and your edit DrumRman. What a big difference! I'm not that into "This is my life", so I'll probably end up with the Japanese edition after all. Why oh why are labels doing this? StormVox already did a similar thing with HEAT's Freedom Rock if I remember correctly (different mixes and tracks)...
  25. New single "Hot" is available on their FB-page!! Unfortunately I think it's quite mediocre, although it has once again a great 80s vibe.
