  1. "Balls out" entered the Swiss charts at spot 87...quite an achievement, as they have never played here. And I can only agree with those reviews: Great record!
  2. Apparently they have a new album coming out in December! They've put a new song on
  3. Anyone heard of these guys before?? Stumbled over the review of their up-coming album over at Melodic.net and just checked out their new single at their facebook-page. Bloody good!! Here's a link to their FB-page: The Morning After FB Opinions?
  4. It's one of two Japan bonus-tracks according to CD-Japan
  5. Kelly Clarkson - Stronger (Deluxe Edition) I enjoy this one quite a lot!
  6. These guys got a new album coming up in January. Their new single is all over Youtube and I gotta say, while I didn't like their first album, this new song sounds great to my ears! Great thing they are getting rid of the screamo-parts imo...

They have sort of a studio-diary going on: http://dannyrexon.tumblr.com/ Only a couple of seconds of demos so far, but I'm already hooked again!
  8. Have you heard the new RECKLESS LOVE? The lyrics are WORSE! If you hate Steel Panther so much why keep reading INFO about them? Obviously you are fragile and sensitive and can't loosen up and have some fun. There's a reason why these guys can play WEEKLY shows and still pack the house. p.s. Has anyone actually heard much of the new disc? I have seen a couple of bad reviews of the new disc so far, which is a surprise as generally the press liked their previous disc... Just out of interest: Do you have any links to online-reviews? I've been looking for one, but to no avail...
  9. I'd replace a few tracks (mainly "Into debauchery" and "Run to your mama") but overall I think this is a pretty good compilation for starters.
  10. Cool stuff, thanx for sharing!
  11. Both bands are going to have a new album out around March/April according to their facebook-pages!! It's absolutely obvious that these two are going to be pure awesomeness Here's the "press"-release from Crazy Lixx: "CRAZY LIXX NEWSLETTER After releasing “NEW RELIGION” 2010 CRAZY LIXX will now enter the studio this friday to record the follow up and third album. We will be in the studio til’ mid-november and the album shall be finished before new years 2011. Release date is not set yet but somewhere around march 2012 is when it should ship out. CRAZY LIXX is still with Frontiers Records and did recently sign a publishing deal with Sony ATV"
  12. After quite a few spins "Age of the Joker" has easily become my favourite Edguy album so far! That being said, I haven't been into Edguy pre-Rocket Ride (I don't like Power Metal) and I enjoy their new classic-rock vibe a lot. Plus, "Fire on the Downline" is a perfect 80's-style AOR-song to my ears!
  13. So, samples are up for all songs over at amazon: Animal Attraction I liked the debut, but thought it was far from flawless. The new one sounds like a step up to me, seems like they found their style. I still think I wouldn't listen to this band if they didn't have that big major-label production, as I think that Oli is a pretty average singer.
  14. I think, it's fantastic! Can't wait to hear this...
  15. According to their producer, Jay Ruston, there's 3 or 4 songs on "Balls out", which are more in the vein of "Eyes of a Panther" lyrically. Great titles! I'm soooo lookin' forward to this album!
  16. New single "If you really really love me" premiered last night and someone posted a link to the radio-show on youtube. Sound-quality ain't that good, but seems to be good song. Here's the link: SP Youtube ...it starts around 2.40
  17. According to a small update from Satchel on Facebook, they settled for "Balls out" as the title for the upcoming album. Hopefully that doesn't imply that the cover is in the same vein as Accept's "Balls to the Walls"
  18. Beautiful and stunning song! Sorry, not able to compile a best-of as I like pretty much every song Tramp has ever written. One of my all-time faves!
  19. Agree! Looks fantastic and the 80s are all over it! Btw: There's a digital b-side for "Hot!" available, called "Young&Crazy", you can check out a sample HERE. Love the chorus!
  20. These guys have a new EP coming up and I wouldn't be surprised if they get signed to a Major label in the near future following in the footsteps of Reckless Love. Seriously, I think this is one hell of a band and with a little guidance of a great producer they could go far. Check out "Anthem for the Young and Restless" and "Over the Limit from the upcoming EP: Santa Crut Hitlantis This is pretty good stuff. Do they not have their own web presence anywhere? I can't even find a Facebook or MySpace page for them, much less their own site. They got a Facebook-page, although it's hard to find because of their bandname: Santa Cruz FB
  21. Valerie from Norway https://www.facebook.com/Valerieband?sk=wall&filter=2 NiteRain also from Norway https://www.facebook.com/niterainkicksass
  22. Surprised not to see more talk about their new album "War of Angels". Judging from the samples and the video for "Monster you made" this is one of my favourite modern rock discs of 2011!
  23. I like Reverse Tripped quite a lot actually, although I'd prefer another all original Vains of Jenna album. Not really a cover-album, but I love Mike Tramp's reworkings on "Remembering White Lion". Some of them sound like completely new songs.
  24. Love "Critter" (judging from the circulating live-clips) and I'm absolutely sure that I'll end up liking the newbie even better than "Feel the Steel". When I heard FTS for the first time I was unsure whether I'd still like the lyrics after a couple of spins, but as a matter of fact (maybe because English ain't my native tongue) I still like them and seriously there ain't THAT much difference (as pointed out by others) between a Steel Panther song and a say Danger Danger song – they're just more to the point Judging from various interviews I even get the impression that Steel Panther have become more serious in their love for their music, so I wouldn't even call them a parody-band anymore, but maybe that's just me...
  25. Just stumbled across a new Swedish AOR-type band called Sencelled which is on the same label as Houston and produced by Ricky Delin as well. The album is out in September, samples sound quite promising: Sencelled And as already mentioned in another thread Blessed by a broken Heart have a newbie coming, which according to their press-release is a lot more "Hair-Metal" and less "Screamo" than its predecessor.
