  1. Damn that referee!! Chile was the better team, but he killed the game with the red card...
  2. After a quite weak streak of friendly games in the months before the WC, I really haven't seen that one coming...but WOOOHOOO time to party all night long!!!
  3. Yeah and above I saw mention of Hardcore Superstar - stoked about that, love their last 3 releases! I saw that above too but I was skeptical that it would actually be released in 2010. I hope it is released this year because for sure the last 3 releases were great. Well, to be honest, I'm not sure either, but they are starting recordings in a couple of weeks, so it could be out by November...
  4. Here's some I'm still looking forward to (out the top off my mind): Stan Bush Chris Antblad Backwash Hardcore Superstar Gemini 5 Erik Grönwall Hinder Divide the Day Buckcherry Million Dollar Reload Atom Smash The Ataris (if it's in the same vein as "So Long Astoria") Baby Jane (not sure whether this is going to be a 2010 release) Pretty Wild Billion Dollar Babies Damn Delicious Houston Probably forgot about quite a few ones, especially in the AOR/Melodicrock-sector, plus as TIM pointed out there's going to be a few surprises as well. So I've got some more good stuff to look forward to, although the best discs of 2010 have probably already been released!
  5. Is this the current sleazy Crystal Pistol from Canada, which has been supposed to release a new album for quite a long time now? Thanks for the update Aaron!
  6. Great disc, which gets better with every spin! Still I'd rate Crazy Lixx a little higher, if maybe only because of the good-time vibe... Damn, I'd love to hear the other 40 songs they've demoed for this one!
  7. Love this guy's voice and I am looking forward to the upcoming album out in June! The first single "Crash & Burn" sounds really good, a bit like Reckless-era Bryan Adams with an ultra-smooth chorus: http://www.myspace.com/erikgronwall

    Hinder

I really, really hope they continue in the style of Take it to the Limit! Still a great album. But I guess we'll just have to wait and hear...
  9. I read that Chris is mixing these guys, not producing! So he probably won't have any influence on song-writing, arrangements, instrumentation... Still exciting to see what those guys can come up with!
  10. Always cool to have an Update, Sam! Any news on Tracer Fox?
  11. I wouldn't be surprised if we're going to see a full-length album from these guys, as it says the following on their Myspace: "LoudLion are currently working on their debut CD sit tight..." Although that's been there for quite some time now...
  12. Agree 100%! April ain't going to be shabby either with Crashdiet and Chris Laney...

These guys have been around for about two or three years now and are about to release a new CD in May. I don't know whether this is going to be a full-lenght or an EP, but I really like their sound and it's great to see bands like this popping up in the US as well. Check out their new tracks: http://www.myspace.com/vxorock I believe they were produced by Johnny Lima!
  14. Samples to all songs from Laney's up-coming album "Only come out at Night" over at Melodicrock! Sounds like a very nice follow-up, which could turn out to be even better than "Pure". Loving "One Kiss tonite"!
  15. That's sad news indeed! I wouldn't class 'em higher than the bands you mentioned (except Vains of Jenna), but I really, really liked this band since their 2003 demo! The new singer could turn out surprisingly good, but I have strong doubts that they are still going to write the songs, as Dani used to be the main-songwriter. Hopefully he's still lending some of his songwriting-skills to the band!
  16. Their Myspace page shows that they have recently released a cd. You can email them and they will send you a Paypal invoice for the cd, tshirt. I'm going to give their songs a few more plays. I was sure they had something out as well. I think i've got one EP (maybe 2) and a full length album from these guys... so, yes... they have stuff out. is it just a cdr? Alot of these bands seem to do that/... It's a pretty nice package actually, out through Sleaszy Rider Records. It definately looks and feels like it's silver-pressed. Here's two more bands to check out: Cut Lips: http://www.myspace.com/cutlips Axident Avenue: http://www.myspace.com/axidentavenue
  17. Alright, here's some more: 44 Caliber http://www.myspace.com/44caliberofficial Silverspoon (okay, this is not really Sleaze, but more Glam/Powerpop, but great notheless) http://www.myspace.com/silverspoonmusic Ace up the Sleeve http://www.myspace.com/aceupthesleeveband Baby Jane (Just in case anybody missed them out so far! This is going to be next "big" thing out of Sweden I guess) http://www.myspace.com/babyjaneofficial Distorted Wonderland (check these guys out if you like Hardcore Superstar) http://www.myspace.com/distorted.wonderland Damn Delicious (again not really sleaze, but there's definately some Backyard Babies influence in their music) http://www.myspace.com/damndelicious Ladyjack http://www.myspace.com/ladyjackmusic Nekkless http://www.myspace.com/nekkless Redlight Attraction http://www.myspace.com/redlightattraction Deathrow Jacks http://www.metroonstage.com/artist/deathrow-jacks Twilight District http://www.myspace.com/twilightdistrictrocks Trash Queen http://www.myspace.com/trashqueenglamrock First Strike (UK) http://www.myspace.com/firststrikerock

    LOVEBLAST CD

Unfortunately i have to agree 100%...
  19. Greattt thread indeed! And a nice list you accomplished there already I don't have much time now, but here's one more for you to check out: Santa Cruz (Finland): Santa Cruz Myspace I'll come up with a lot more later...
  20. Yeah I agree mate. Fantastic album from start to finish. This along with Treat are a long way ahead of the pack IMO. Backed 100 %. I'm pround to be Swedish this spring and Crash Diet and Heat hasn't landed yet Crashdiet and Heat are going to be stunning as well from what I've heard so far, so that makes at least 4 Swedish classics in 2010 What I like best of that is the fact that three of those four bands are young bands, which have a great future ahead!
  21. Received this one today and what can I say? I had high expectations and they were more than fullfilled! Fantastic album which I can't stop playing, no fillers and (as always when Chris Laney is involved) a million-dollar bucks production. Seriously, this one along with Treat's "Coup de Grace" belongs in every collection! Instant classic, period.
  22. Okay, just got this one today (together with Crazy Lixx' newbie), gave it a couple of spins and I gotta say this is even better than I expected! Fantastic production, a lot of energy and superb song-writing all around...to me their best album to date!
  23. The intro to "Sex" reminds me off the one to Casanova's "Burning Love" (just how great is this song btw?)...maybe that's the one you mean? Overall, I think Reckless Love delivered a quite strong debut, especially the second half of the disc is great! If they manage to write more songs like "Wild Touch", "Beautiful Bomb" or "Romance" we're in for a nice future with these guys. Unfortunately there are some weaker songs on this disc as well, namely "Love Machine" (almost a carbon copy of "I love Rock'n'Roll", except the Van Halen-like bridge) or "Feel the Heat" (although I like the Autograph-vibe), so for me this is blown away by Crazy Lixx' "New Religion" easily!
  24. Very cool stuff there, thanx for sharing!! The Sleaze-/Melodic-Rock Scene in Sweden really is amazing, there are more bands popping up every week! Too bad I an't make it the Crazy Nights Rockfest or the Stockholm Rockout this year...
  25. According to Chris they have an album written, but are in search of a label backing the recording-costs up...and I could imagine that both Zinny and Chris are a little short of time at the moment: Zinny is back with Easy Action and Chris...well producing one killer album after the other.
