  1. Count me in! Great Songwriter imo and I love all of his solo-albums..."Time runs wild" is one of my fave AOR-tracks ever.
  2. Disagree! Like him or not, to call Robbie Williams a "shite singer" is too harsh. Don't like many of his songs, but I think his performances on songs like "Angels" or "Feel" are quite stunning! In fact I'd love to see him fronting a rockband!
  3. Huge? How big was that crowd you saw them with? I assume they're still playing small clubs. Well yeah, with "huge" I was actually referring to the album not the crowd the crowd was somewhere around 100 people (which isn't too bad for a one-off gig without any sort of promotion if you ask me)... I can't wait for this one, based on the demo-samples you can hear on their studio-blog-videos...especially the (very small) clip "Blame it on Love" sounds great to these ears!
  4. Chris Laney is already in Pre-Production mode for the follow-up, probably out around April 2010 I guess! Looking very much forward to it!
  5. Received my copy on Tuesday and have given it a couple of spins. Another very cool Swedish band with a mighty fine self-produced slab of Sleaze, which to my ears somehow sounds like a mixture of Hardcore Superstar and Backyard Babies. Standouts so far are the title-track and Road Dog Souls!
  6. I actually think, that these are not the correct samples, as I've listened to them and they are all the same on every disc listed at FnA! Or has my computer got a problem?
  7. It sure looks like that: FnA Records
  8. I received this cd yesterday and this one is definately going to be in my Top5 of 2009! The first 10 tracks sound massive and are simply put nothing but stunning! "Goodbye Good Luck" and "Fade away" soundwise fall a bit short compared to these 10 tracks, but I think those 2 tracks are the ones that they recorded earlier on. They somehow feel more like bonus-tracks as there is a great ending in "Shine On", which somehow seems to mark the end of the "actual" record. Great, great release and by far their best work to date!!
  9. This one is going to be huge!! I saw them live about 3 weeks ago and they played a new song called "Rock and a hard Place", which you could call an instant classic as it got the crowd going crazy within seconds!
  10. Okay, I received my copy a couple of days ago and had a few spins...and I gotta say, that as much as I would like to love this one, it's just pretty average to me, mainly because of Binge's vocals! Don't get me wrong, the song-writing is good and there are a couple of really great riffs on here, but the voice somehow spoils it...all in all I'd say a 70/100.
  11. Thought I'd post this song, which I think is great. Dada ante Portas are a very popular band here in Switzerland and "Bloom" was played a lot on the radio in 2008. Anyone else into it?

    TOXIC HEART

Received mine as well about two weeks ago! Production is pretty huge to my ears and the playing is top-notch! The songs are sort of a mixed bag: When they're good the ARE good (The One and Ride your Life being my absolute faves), but there also some fillers imo. And "Big Time" as a choice for the new single is a bad decision in my eyes. Still, all in all a fine release, which I enjoy! It's great to see Hair Metal bands evolve from various countries besides Scandinavia as well! PS: "The One" is fantastic and should be the next single!!
  13. I'm at work so i can't hear the samples yet, but in your opinion who would you compare them to? I finde them quite hard to compare actually. Can you imagine a mixture between Aerosmith and Backyard Babies? That's probably as close as it gets, but the new one adds more power in the same vein as Chris Laney's "Pure" release! Melodic, but sleazy Hardrock
  14. I've always liked Babylon Bombs, but their upcoming third album sounds like a freakin' monster!! Produced by the mighty Chris Laney, you can't go wrong...check out the samples: Babylon's Burning Samples Edit: I hope though that "Fade away" actually is a full-lenght song and not only a 5 seconds fade-out
  15. Bought this one, but unfortunately I gotta say that I'm pretty disappointed! Not nearly on par with "Keep on Swingin'", much more punk-ish and sometimes even a little grungy!
  16. Awesome stuff indeed! They've got an album coming up in October on MetalHeaven...
  17. Looking forward to hear a new album from Crashdiet, Simon fits in perfectly! By the way: Olli Twisted's old and new again band "Reckless Love" have signed a deal with Universal recently and have just released their first single, which i like pretty much as well. Check it out: Reckless Love Myspace
  18. Dynazty is yet another new Swedish band, which has its debut-album coming up in June through Perris Records. It is produced by the mighty Chris Laney and sounds great so far! Check 'em out: Dynazty Myspace
  19. If you've heard the Chris Laney solo-disc and like it you'll love this one! Laney and Ringman took Steevie to a whole new level from what I've heard so far!
  20. I own about 20 RR releases, my top 3: 1. Pretty Boy - Metro Sessions 2. Wild August - 2 3. Bad Angels - On the Rail A lot of great stuff so far!!! Keep 'em coming Sam!
  21. Cool lists Geoff, agree with quite a few of your choices! I think a lot of my year's-end Top10 releases is still up-coming, as e.g. Wig Wam, Treat, Babylon Bombs, Crazy Lixx and many more, but Chris Laney will probably end up in my Top5.
  22. Great album imo, very Guns'n'Rose-ish mixed with some Skid Row and AC/DC.
  23. Agree 100%, but then again I've been a fan of Laney's work for quite a long time now... My fave so far is "Pissed at what you missed"!
  24. Hey Sam and/or Aaron Great to see that Retrospect is still going strong! Any new signings and especially any news on Wildstreet? Do these guys have a release out in the near future?
