  1. Dave I'd give E Bay a call and check with them since the case in which he left negative feedback for you was ruled in your favor and now he is no longer a registered user, the neg may be able to be removed....... Doesn't hurt to give it a try? Del
  2. I have "Some Like It Different (Acoustic)" on WEA Japan "Inbetween" is probably the only one I don't have....
  3. I finally tracked down a copy of the CASHMIR "Self Titled" CD and have to add my thoughts to this awesome CD. First off, I am a die hard fan of all the Brother Firetribe and Leverage material and when I discovered Pekka Heino had did vocals with a previous band, I set my efforts to land a copy. Since receiving it, it has been in my CD player in constant rotation with the Brother Firetribe and Leverage CDs......As an additional bonus, Tomppa Nikulainen , the Keyboard player with Brother Firetribe and Leverage is also at work on the keys with Cashmir...... Want to download all of their hard to find stuff? Sure you do...... You can do a search on Google and install one of the free shareware programs to capture FLV (flashplayer format) from YouTube and then use Pazera's free FLV to AVI converter to convert your files to AVI format. Finally, download and install VIRTUALDUB, another free open source program that is simple to use. Load your AVI file and then at the top, click "file" and drop down to "convert to Wav". It will ask you where you want your WAV file to be saved and then it quickly converts the audio to a WAV file ready to be burned on your CDR or converted into an MP3 with your favorite MP3 program. Of course, this simple method will give you another avenue to get some killer titles that are on YouTube and other sites using flashplayer...... Give those tracks a listen and you'll fall in love with Cashmir!!!
  4. Geoff....the "Guilty" CD sold for $20.50, so that too was a bargain. I have the "live" CD still available here for a later auction, but, haven't come across another copy of "Colours" for awhile, although I've sold it several times in the past. You just never know!! Andy...."Everybody's Crazy" is the title of the other one you were thinking of........
  5. Chris and Mark both are "stand up" guys and I would add my name to the extensive list of fellow collectors who have bought, traded and sold to them over the years................I heartily recommend them to all!!!
  6. Oh my Geoff........you mean you didn't check out my last "monster Auction" in November ??????? I had the "Colours" CD on there with the "Guilty" CD as well!!! You could have snatched that "Colours" CD for a mere $23.50 +........Of all people, I thought sure you checked it out...........
  7. Wow Pete...you of all people????? I guess that's why there are so many different styles of music.....we all have different tastes!!! I really liked this band's sound. I think those background vocals and the melody infused in the song is what brought me over. I know you are heavy into guitar oriented hard rock, and that's cool too. Maybe that's what turned you off on this band????? I am one of those that really get turned on by melodic hard rock with keys and loads of harmony melody, but, I am also pretty diversified too. I can get just as turned on by Power Metal or some light weight AOR too. Charlie....thanks for the heads up on this one!! And no......we don't hate you Pete.......I like your CDs too!!!!
  8. Hey Ty, I agree with you, that is a killer release. Not long ago I pulled my "aged" copy for a listen and then it all came back........heavy-edged melodic hard rock, cranking guitars, monster hooks, stacked backing vocals, laced with some hard-hitting attitude. A-h-h-h-h!!! Definitely good stuff for driving down the highway!!! Oh.....did you remember...it was all co-written and produced by Aldo Nova and Bon Jovi? That has to be good for something too....
  9. Dave....thanks for the "heads Up' on this one.......I am a big fan of NWOBHM.....something about that 80's sound. Listening to those MP3 samples just doesn't do the album justice though......can't wait to hear the "full impact" on my big speakers ......all uncompressed and magnificent!!!.......
  10. Pete.....was curious if there is another Gypsy Rose album in the works already? If so, can we expect the same style of writing which we've been treated to on the last two efforts, or is there some new experimentation planned. I always hate it when a band lays groundwork with a particular style and then all of a sudden, we are surprised with a change of direction on subsequent releases. You can think of tons of examples of bands who seem to have a successful direction and then they either get bored or want to "lay down new direction and experiment somewhere they have no business". Both of the previous two releases have had regular rotation in my CD player the past several months. I'm really hooked on this style right now.

Well......for me, "Taste Of Heaven" was awesome commercial hard rock with some symphonic influence and of course, Soto leading the way on vocals....this was from 1995. Move forward to "Perception Of Reality" (their 5th album) and vocalist Michaal Flatters (ex-James Byrd) enters the picture.......now the irony here is there's a kind of like a mix of Talisman and Dokken on this high quality release.....go figure that one out? I was one of those who were just addicted to Soto's voice on all those various albums. Human Clay was another project that drew my interest. Let's just say Jeff has a melodic hard rock voice among voices!!!!
  12. Finnish melodic hard rockers LEVERAGE have a new CD that came out on October 28 titled "Circus Colossus". I received my Japanese pressing yesterday from CD Japan and gave it a listen last night. Tremendous......like a strong tornado!!! I have really been impressed with the releases of these Finnish bands such as Brother Firetribe, Leverage, Keldian etc etc. Their sound is so complex, yet refreshing. I was somewhat dissappointed with the second Leverage release, "Blind Fire" because the songs just weren't as strong as the debut. Now, on this third album, they have recovered their song writing ability. The first part of the album isn't quite as strong as the second, but things quickly develop as the track list moves along. This sound, that I previous described as a "strong tornado" seems to develop intensity, change course and time and can truly be powerful. I love the compexity of the songs, changing tempo, mood and direction at times. I call this, for a lack of a better term, "pompous Melodic Metal". Maybe some would describe it as progressive rock.......nah, I'm not going that far. I hear something in the vein of the first CORNERSTONE release (with Dougie White vocals) and BROTHER FIRETRIBE. The guitars for the most part provide the backbone and rythym while the keyboards load the whole thing with melody and pomp. And.....the vocals of Pekka Heino very unique sounding. I love that different slant in his voice. Then, layer that with some excellent drumwork via Valtteri Revonkorpi who sounds amazingly similiar to Jukka Nevalainen of Nightwish. Lots of backing and harmony vocals fill the remainder of what you'll hear. Needless to say, I am entranced with this release and highly recommend it to those of you who have developed a love for this niche of melodic metal coming from Finland. I would love to hear what others think after hearing this excellent release? Oh....the Japanese pressing contains two bonus tracks that are both worth investing in the Japanese pressing. Delbert
  13. I got mine from NEH on Wednesday........great stuff!!
  14. Unique sounding band, Geoff. First thing I noticed.....they didn't have a sound that seemed to be copying any other particular band. I did notice that fuzz toned guitar in a couple of tracks that gave them a bit of a modern sound that I wasn't too fond of.....but, the other tracks were very very good......melodic, yet with an edge and the singer's voice was different as well. I actually liked it. I went directly to THE BAND'S WEBSITE from the link you provided where you could listen to all the tracks and even order the CD from there. Thanks for the link there mate!! Cheers, Delbert
  15. I just received the new box set of the 5 BLACK ANGELS albums from Karthago Records today. I don't know how many of you are familiar with this exciting Swiss band who have been around for over 3 decades. I remember having several of their LP's, of which "Kickdown", was one of my favorites. If you are into Melodic Metal with a sound in the vein of Scorpions, Mydra and Stryper meet Stormwitch, these guys will turn you inside out. The Karthago box set is well put together with lots of bonus tracks and even video's of the band playable on your computer. If you want to get some MP3 samples of this excellent band, rock over to BLACK ANGELS 1981 - 2009 and give 'em a listen to decide. You collectors in Europe can order directly from KARTHAGO RECORDS as it would probably be cheaper for you. I would suspect this set will increase in value once the pressing is sold out!!!!
  16. Dan I assume we're talking about Arwine???? If so, any negative he's given you can and will be removed by E Bay because he is a suspended user. He can't leave feedback being a suspended user. I had this happen to me once with a buyer who was suspended and started a new e bay ID with almost 100 positive feedbacks to his credit under the new name. I contacted E Bay and showed them I had previously blocked his former E Bay ID and that he created a new one after being suspended. E Bay suspended him again and removed the negative feedback he left me. This was a guy I left negative feedback for prior to the new feedback system who had filed a PAYPAL complaint saying he did not receive the CD when I had sent it EMS with tracking.......dumbie!!!! Del
  17. Dave...you just may be on to something......often times, I don't log in to the site if I don't intend to post.....I like to just spend time reading the posts and this may be what's happening......I'll pay close attention in the future to see if that's the case. Again, DAN, why is this happening in this particular manner........Is this something that was intentionally designed this way?
  18. For some time now, I've noticed that the "Good, Bad Traders, Sellers" forum has dissappeared from the forum. Maybe I missed a notice or something about this???? Then, yesterday (Sunday Sept 13) I noticed it appeared out of the blue once again........I read about our dear Jamie Lavine...... Now, this morning, once again, it has dissappeared. I went to this topic on "site feedback" and posted what I noticed and submitted it to the forum.......instead of my topic being posted on the forum....once again the "good, bad traders, sellers" topic was where it should be......nowhere was my post though.... So, here I am once again posting in the "site stuff" topic line about this amazing set of events. So......whassup Dan??????
  19. Terje Høiland at Rock Of Norway has been buying, selling and trading CDs for years and years and has a webzine located at ROCK OF NORWAY. A great guy I've had the pleasure of dealing with for quite a long time......
  20. By ALL MEANS don't ever forget "Hey Hey What Can I Do" which was never released on Album but only on the B side of a single.......one of my favorites for sure!!!!
  21. I ditto your enthusiasm. Went to a Rick Springfield concert in St Louis back in the late 80's and it was an extremely great show. Rick and his band can really rock and they put on a top notch performance.
  22. Mike...I don't have this CD, so I can't check my copy, but the reason your computer has no sound is there is no error correction taking place on your computer drive. Your regular CD player has error correction and attempts to fill in for the missing data..... Delbert
  23. I've bought, sold and traded with Chris for several years and never a problem.......However, just to let you know, I have had problems communicating via e mail because his e mail server is very 'SPAM" sensitive and he doesn't get alot of things.....have you tried communicating to him directly through E Bay rather than direct? Just a thought!
  24. Wow....thanks for the heads up on this one. Didn't even know it existed. I have their first, PREY - "The Hunter" and loved that one.....I'll definitely have to dig this one up for my collection.
  25. I've spent many a great day over many years hitting, first the record stores, then later they became CD stores. As most all of you know, CD stores are now becoming a thing of the past......pawn shops no longer accept CDs on consignments or even buy them so they are drying up there as well.........this is a sign of the "download" and "MP3" times my friends......our beloved stores are disappearing quickly all over America. The stores that were once loaded with CDs and that are still in business seem to have shifted their business to DVD and video games.......
