  1. Dan...a new twist has been noticed on the board since you've changed over. When I click on a link within a post to be directed to another website, instead of opening a new window in my browser, I leave the HH forum and am redirected to the linked web page in the same browser window. Not good, huh????
  2. Whoa.....big change indeed.....might take awhile to get used to the changes, but it's good to have things back.
  3. Well....my copy arrived in the mail today. AWESOME is the word to describe it. Excellent quality DVD that will be played over and over. Thanks for the tip on this one Dan.
  4. I too am not a huge fan of the more modern stuff, but this one has some vibes of the band TRAIN to me.....I actually liked the smooth melodic flow and the occasional echo. Wouldn't mind picking this up for my collection.
  5. Dan I've noticed something new on the board recently.....If I do not log in, instead of topic titles, I see "protected forum". Any announcement on this change? I suspect this is to help control the drive by morons such as our dear "friend" (I use that term very liberally and Loose) from Red Lyon, Pennsylvannia from reading what is going on? I think it's a great idea if this is the motivation. These parasites love to read about their exploits and what problems they have created/caused thereby getting satisfaction from it. Cut them off and they don't have the same level of satisfaction in my opinion!!! And of course....Ty and Mike do a fantastic job of monitoring the IP addresses of newly registered users much more closely than evil bay does it's users, so this prevents the "suspended users" from re registering with a new ID. Hey.....you think maybe you could loan those guys to Evil bay for a couple of weeks to get their operation straightened out and show them how it's done???? Delbert
  6. Hey Ty....you have to remember one thing......look at those pictures of him that you posted and you'll quickly realize his bread isn't fully baked!!!!
  7. Fabio.....this band really looks interesting. Do you know if they plan to put up some MP3 sound samples so we can hear them? Have they got a CD ready to sell themselves since they don't have a label yet????
  8. I am one of those who won't buy a release if it is on CDR.......for those of you who live in the States, here is what I do. I always call CD baby and ask the rep to go back to the warehouse and check the stock for me to see if it is a CDR or silver pressed CD. I've never had a problem and they always check and let me know one way or the other before I order. On one occasion, I did receive a CDR and called to complain. They checked and found that some of the discs were silver pressed and some were on CDR media. I returned the disc and they paid the return postage for me and sent me the silver pressed disc.....
  9. Chris, I agree with you about the first release. I remember when I got my copy how dissappointed I was. The MP3 samples I heard just didn't seem to jive with the whole package. Listening to these new three tracks gives me the impression there has been a change in the bands style somewhat. More melodic and layered. I know this isn't really your style of music as I've often seen you drift toward the more intense and harder material. My only reservation is that only 1 track is actually destined for their new release and I hope these three tracks are an indication of the direction of the new album.
  10. I generally drool alot these days.....comes with age!!! However.......the wife has had to keep a bib around my neck the past couple of hours after reading Dan's post and following the link he provided........ Here I sit, waiting with bated breath!!! keep that dirty drool away from the cds you send my way Delbert Oh Andy.....it's just like CD baby here. After an auction, I gently pickup each CD with my white gloved hands from the storage box and give the disc a tender kiss before cradling it into a fresh new jewel case. Next, it is smothered bubble wrap for it's long journey to the anxiously awaiting buyer. No, never any drooling allowed, only tender kisses and tender loving care...... Then......it's off to the post office where each package is handed to the postal clerk and I wave goodbye as they are on their way to a new loving home!!!! Very moving.....isn't it?
  11. Outstanding Dave.....thanks for the links. This band pulls my chain a great deal!!!!
  12. I generally drool alot these days.....comes with age!!! However.......the wife has had to keep a bib around my neck the past couple of hours after reading Dan's post and following the link he provided........ Here I sit, waiting with bated breath!!!
  13. Dan.....thanks much for the link......this is outstanding!!!! Got my preorder in this morning.
  14. Have traded, bought, sold and conversed with Jon often over the last few years.....they don't come any better in my book!!!! I feel blessed to know him.......
  15. To answer your main question, I have an original and it was officially released in 1993 on the BMG label in Japan. The catalog number is BVCP686. Unfortunately, my copy does not have an OBI. I agree with the others in that it has a bluesier feel to it, although I wouldn't go so far as to agree with Andy that it is as bad as the Joker "Ecstacy" followup. I rather liked the sound on "After Hours" Featuring John Francis.
  16. Sandy, I'm not familiar with the Hunting Sleeve or Jades Parlor titles you've got.....here's what I can offer: Amsterdam - s/t Is this is the AMSTERDAM, released on Ta-Ta records in 1992 in the USA? It was self produced by Ronnie Borchert and Steve Dinkins. Ronnie is the singer for TRIXIE. This is essential hard rock in the vein of LILLIAN AXE meets MOTLEY CRUE who just met up with RATT. Yep, it's that good !! Wretched Excess - s/t This one was released in 1994 on the band's own label. If you dig bands like MOTLEY CRUE, LA GUNS and some AEROSMITH then this one is right up your alley - great glam/hard rock/sleaze. Rumbledog - s/t This one was released in 1993 on Mirror Records. Basically, this is a mini super group project consisting of guys from DIRTY LOOKS, RATT and XYZ. You can guess what they sound like by the band's names involved. Hope this helps, Delbert
  17. Now Jon....you know I love you and Georgie I guess I just over stated my opinion that D.C. Cooper was the singer that made Royal Hunt back in the day......I appologize if I raised my voice too loud.........that offer of the coat hanger beating still stands???
  18. Dan....this is what I live for. Finding these totally obscure and never before seen discs. They are out there. 9 times out of 10 you pass them over because the cover doesn't grab you in an instant. I listened to the track, a bit light weight for my personal tastes, but, some of the light AOR lovers would cherish this remarkable find. Congrats!!! Delbert
  19. Someone told me that Geoff was having nightmares when I was posting over there and you were constantly having to cover him back up.......seems he kept kicking the covers off and thrashing about!!! It was reportedly just a rumor, but, I wanted to check in with you to get the poop from the horses' mouth??????? Matt, don't worry.....there won't be any cuddling with the "old man"......Geoff is the only one you have to worry about!
  20. Oh...no, no, no......no pity posting......true concern from down deep in my loving heart (as long as there's no touchie touchie over there, I don't do cuddling except with momma.......just exchanging thoughts!!!!) By the way, I know how it goes in the joint.....times slides by slowly at times.....Hey, did you see, I even responded to a couple of your posts? I was reading your comments. I guess I was making too much noise over there because I was called down about a couple of my comments......I'm trying to whisper now so as not to disturb the higher ups!!
  21. Let's see.....m-m-m-m George & Jon's group are on the "far left" and Dan and his bunch stand over there on the "right"........ Lookie......Delbert is standing in the line behind Dan.......D.C. Cooper was "the singer" that made Royal Hunt.....end of story!!! Sorry guys...beat me with a coat hanger like a step child, but, I've really been dissappointed with anything and everything since from this band.
  22. You can pick this up at NEH online from Colorado. Also, you can listen to MP3 samples of each track before you buy.....they provide excellent service and accept credit cards and PAYPAL. http://www.nehrecords.com/shop/Enter.htm Also, you can go over to the main board and check out the reviews to get an idea of what others think of this release. I've had the original for many years and it has always been a fav of mine. Another one of those CDs that turned up on the classic "Munich City Nights" compilation series of Germany.
  23. It was released on Cassette only in 1989: The Band is: Brian Racine - Guitars, Keyboards & Vocals Ron Boyles - Bass & Vocals Bob Irvine - Guitars, Keyboards & Vocals Pete Greco - Lead Vocals Bernie Codina - Drums Track Titles: City Lights Better Think Twice On & On Fight It Your Sorry's Like You Hope this brings you up to speed on this one? Delbert
  24. I actually felt so sorry for Mark....being tucked away in prison (claiming he was innocent as they all do!!) that I drifted over to the main board and started writing comment/reviews with him so he wouldn't be lonely over there while everyone else was at the boards "living it up and having fun!!!" Poor Mark...... while at work!!! Plus it was really c-c-c-o-l-d-d here and that was a warm place to spend time with a hot cup of coffee and my keyboard......
  25. Great sound, but........I stand in the same line as the others who won't be "downloading" this album.........No pressed CD, No buy!!!!!
