  1. Here is another one of his e bay ID's ...... redkatalin2005 You want to block this one because it is still active. His cdkarl2005 has been yanked.... 14 negative feedbacks already this month!!!! If you look at the feedback on his redkatalin2005 ID, you'll notice that he gave himself feedback using cdkarl2005 when he first signed up......isn't that something? What I can't understand is, with all the technology at hand, why can't E Bay and PayPAL cross reference these people who continually sign up using new ID's after being suspended for ripping people off. All they need do is properly verify their Credit Cards, names, addresses and bank accounts....... They need to verify that people are who they say they are and can provide adequate identification before allowing them to participate.......
  2. cdkarl2005 is Thomas Reisinger of Austria.....many of you are familiar with him. In my last auction, I had to file a non paying bidder alert on him, after which he did respond and make payment with paypal. I was lucky this time around........ I've had transactions with him previously, but I've got to try an avoid him in the future. A close friend of mine "smiley1969" just got hit with a Paypal notice similiar to Mike Butt stating the payment of $57 was being held and investigated by paypal. Trouble is, the payment arrived Nov 24 and my friend sent the CDs the very next day. Then, Nov 28 Paypal decides to have an investigation and freeze the funds....... I'm not sure what is going on, but this is another fellow you want to be wary of.....he is also a SELLER who offers some super rare titles !!!! So even if you aren't a seller, if you buy on E Bay, beware of this guy!
  3. I recently bought a Brennus release from this seller....paid with PAYPAL and they e mailed me right away with an acknowledgment and in a couple of days posted a positive feedback for me on E Bay (I bought the CD off E Bay). It took about three weeks to get here, although I don't fault them.....the mail coming to the States from Europe is extremely slow sometimes!
  4. I saw one of these buy it now auctions about two weeks ago for the Cinnamon - Eat it CD for $30, so I bought it. Several friends e mailed me thereafter telling me this seller was sending CDRs. I had paid with a paypal payment and on learning this, immediately e mailed the seller and told "her" that I had received e mails stating she was selling CDRs. If this was the case, I would not accept a CDR and would report it to E Bay, PayPal and the RIAA if she was doing so. If this was not the case, then I appologize and would certainly leave a positive feedback. This was the E mail response I got from the Seller................. Question from mjauctionhouse Item: CINNAMON - EAT IT CD Madmax Swedish Erotica Treat (4786271279) This message was sent after the listing closed. mjauctionhouse is the seller. --------------------------------------- Hello sorry about the late response but I have been very busy outside of the home. I am just a fan of music and not into the the politics. I want everyone to be happy with what they purchase from me and I am learning fast that ebay is a very hard market to please everyone. The CD you bought is not a silver cd so if that is not to your liking then just let me know and I'll refund you as long as I can have my ebay fee back. I am trying to be fair. _________________________________________________________ I e mailed the seller and demanded a full refund which was granted through my PAYPAL account. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SELLER!!!!!!!!! The get rich entrepeneurs are popping up faster than ever on E Bay. At one time, you could buy and sell CDs on E Bay with little caution.......now, the scammers are everywhere. Best bet is to stick with the well known sellers and if you are a seller, watch who is doing the buying!!!
  5. Well......we've seen them come and we've seen them go.......you know, the big spenders that jump on E Bay and go through cash buying anything and everything they can with huge $$$$. I'll bet if we started a list, we could come up with at least 100 E Bay user ID's...... I don't understand it with these guys, but, I guess they are trying to amass a collection like many of us long time collectors, only do it in about a 6 month span!!!!! Anyway, the latest to go down the tubes is the infamous 11jean11.........we've all seen him bidding on every CD imagineable with huge money being spent. Well, I had a deal to sell him three highly collectable CDs for $1,000 and held them for about 6 weeks or more, I also know of some other sellers who have been holding CDs for him with promises after promises to send payment, but, alas....nothing!!! Now, he bids on my last auction winning 4 CDs and I've had to file a non paying bidder alert with E Bay about a week ago. Still nothing......... For me, it's time to add another blocked bidder to my list............... Delbert
  6. THE UPDATE AS PROMISED........... Here is the USPS.com web site info on the package: ___________________________________________________________________ Track & Confirm Current Status You entered 9101 1501 3471 1239 1046 65 Your item was delivered at 9:37 am on October 08, 2005 in RED LION, PA 17356. ___________________________________________________________________ Later in the day I get this e mail: From: <Rl9522@aol.com> To: <-----------------> Subject: Re: URGENT!!! ONTRAY - C'mon Taste It (Mega Rare 1988 Glam indie) (477223... Date: Saturday, October 08, 2005 1:32 PM Hi there..the payment has been completed and is showing up and having been made to your account,so all should be well here. thanks * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * m-m-m-m-m-m guess we got our $2,000 back into our bank account and everything is a-okay now?????????? Oh, one more thing.......he unregistered his e bay id already......I guess he thought I would give him a negative feedback! Anyway, he'll soon be using a new E Bay ID so "heads up"!!!!! Delbert
  7. I gave this latest senerio of James Arwine some deep thought last night, trying to figure out his new angle on this one........ I surmised that what he probably intended to do was pay with PAYPAL, then have PAYPAL cancel the payment. He would then send off his "excuse" e mail about his bank account being raided and that PAYPAL would not be able to honor the payment. I think the plan fell apart because I am one of those guys that packages and mails CDs at the drop of a hat as soon as the payment arrives......I prepared the mailing label on line and paid for postage on PAYPAL which adds the delivery confirmation information which is also mailed to the buyer to track his package. Mr Arwine could not cancel his paypal payment because Paypal already had been notified (via the online postage and delivery confirmation label) that the package had been shipped........ Whoops!!!! Hey Jimmy boy.....if you're reading this......you need to choose one of those S-L-O-W delivery sellers....you know, like maybe Davesmetal or someone like that!!!!! Oh yeah...one more thing.....I scanned the CD and artwork before it left here to show the condition, so don't tell paypal it was not as advertised!!!! That CD was just removed from the Blister Pack before it was sent to you, so it hasn't even been played!!!! Enjoy The CD!!!!
  8. The infamous E bay criminal JAMES ARWINE'S latest "excuse"....... Most of you know, I just finished a big auction this past weekend and one of the successful high bidders was the infamous JAMES ARWINE who slipped past the gates with a new ID unknown to me........ His new E bay ID is rl9522 and it is squeeky clean........ He won the Ontray CD and this morning I received a notification from PAYPAL that he had paid for the item. He e mailed me and told me he had paid with PAYPAL and requested to know when the item would be shipped. I was totally surprised to say the least! I responded with my usual notification acknowledging that I had received his payment and the CD would be in the mail this morning (Tuesday) and that I would post a positive feedback as soon as I was caught up with everything. (by the way, I haven't posted feedback). I also thanked him for his prompt payment and for bidding in my auction. This afternoon, I received the following E Mail from JAMES ARWINE: DO NOT SHIP THE CD ! My bank account was scammed this morning, not long after I made the paypal payment...to the tune of 2 grand, and I am literally cleaned out....and mentally frantic right now.... This is a real mess, and until it gets straightened out, I have no idea when I can resubmit a paypal payment for the cd...you may be best to relist it...I would appreciate no negative feedback, for this was an unforseen and unfortunate event, and was not done purposeful on my end....... If you could do a mutual agreement to cancel the transaction on ebay,so I can keep my account with getting an unpaid item strike or negative feedback out of this, it would be appreciated...but that is up to you. Regards _________________________________________________________________ Now, I must say, this is a very unique new twist on his line of excuses........... My response to him was: James Unfortunately, the CD was immediately mailed upon receipt of payment notification from Paypal......you also received a tracking number to verify mailing. If you are unable to pay for the item, refuse delivery when it arrives and it will be returned to me by the post office. If you accept delivery, you must pay for it. If your paypal account is not functional, then you must send a money order to my mailing address: "(my address was inserted here)" I also would advise you that I am aware of all the problems you have had on E Bay with various transactions and all the excuses you have used. I also want to advise you that I am a retired Police Lieutenant here in the St Louis metro area and I have several close friends, one who was a former officer working under my command, who are postal inspectors who would be more than happy to pursue any mail fraud case I give them should this be a scam. I am very familiar with how the system operates and have the connections to make things very difficult. Please do not let this be one of those incidents? I plan to telephone Paypal at their number 402-935-2107 to inquire if there is a problem with your paypal account to verify what you have told me. Cheers, Delbert __________________________________________________________________ I contacted PAYPAL and they would only confirm that the transaction was successfully completed stating that I had been paid for the item and that it should be shipped with tracking (which I did). I don't know what his scam is going to be on this one, but, I received his payment and the CD was shipped with PAYPAL's delivery confirmation system. His address was verified by PAYPAL and I am covered under the PAYPAL seller protection. If he refuses the CD, I'll resell it to someone else and donate the payment Mr. Arwine donated to me to Heavy Harmonies Web Site (hello Dan) to assist in promoting communication on Mr Arwine's activities and those of other scammers...... I'll let you all know if there is any change or developments ........ Delbert
  9. Thanks to Lonnie, Mike B, Aaron and all the rest who've been keeping us all up to date on these whackers who scam and waste our time.....both as buyers and sellers.
  10. Ditto what Mike said Lonnie.....my blocked bidders list is a large as my CD collection list almost!!!!! Just kidding.......... I always appreciate others sharing these lowlifes hanging around wasting our time and always add them to my blocked bidder list. Problem is, as always, they keep coming back in mutated form, so we have to keep everyone current!! E Bay certainly isn't any help with these people although they'd like you to believe they are...... LOL!!!!!
  11. I've read literally thousands of descriptions on E Bay which have a statement to the effect "I do not sell CDR's or bootlegs". I also suppose, based on what I've read in this thread, that these statements are all making reference to "UNNAMED", who has developed a reputation for such articles based on past practices!!! Or, is it just because the statement was posted on this board? I intentionally used the reference "UNNAMED" because I have no intention of directing my post to any individual......of course, I cannot circumvent anyone with feelings of guilt or with a soiled reputation in that regard from inserting his/her own name into this post and running with it. Really.......if one is so sensitive to such statements, one must certainly have a guilty conscience!!!???? Are all such statements pointing the finger at any particular individual??? I think not. Not any more so than the original statement concerning "BOOTLEGS and SKETCHY REISSUES" posted here. Most certainly, whenever reference is made that a particular title is an original or genuine release, when posting on this board, it should not to be taken as an accusation directed toward any particular person. Unless of course, while reading the post, one is looking in a mirror? Actually, I thought Tony's statement was certainly appropriate, he was merely wanting to reassure potential bidders that what he was selling was the genuine article. The statement "if the shoot fits....." also seems appropriate!!! As a sidebar, why would any prolific, reputable high volume seller, his/her advertising agents and/or advocates be concerned with the thoughts of just a few groupies sitting around talking or grumbling over his business practices. Surely these few insignificant bottom feeders and groupies have no effect on his/her sales......they are a mere handful of misfits compared to the literal thousands worldwide that are regular, faithful and genuinely satisfied customers........why all the concern? I've read postings stating to the effect "I don't care what you @#$%! think, I make $$$$$$ a week and #*&$@ you people, you don't mean #@*%$ to me and I don't care what the @!&% you think etc etc etc etc.........why take the time and trouble to justify anything if you really don't care what people think? Why try to justify anything if all is well? Why shore up a reputation that isn't damaged? If sales are booming, why the concern with non-buyers anyway?......no one pays any attention to these comments and postings anyway.....they don't affect business or sales.......why.....what.....how come......etc etc etc........that's what comes to mind when I read these things. Why the concern over this little crowd of "nobodies" and "non buyers" sitting over here in the corner!!! They aren't hurting my business, look how much money I'm making, ask my faithful followers......I've got customers worldwide flooding my mailbox with cash. Why is the General Motors of CD sales and their advertising agents always concerned about what a minimal number of uninformed, poorly educated, impressionable misfit inexpensive procuring used product consumers think or say? (whew....) Or....maybe they do!
  12. Just to update everyone.....some more interesting information about these spoof e mails..... If you get an email to your registered eBay email address that looks like it's from eBay or another eBay member asking a question, check My Messages first. If it's not there, it's a fake email. and even more importantly....... Many of these fake emails contain a keystroke virus. If you clicked on any of the links in the email, you may have exposed your computer to this virus. If you have already done so, you should seek out a virus scanner program to use on your system. I have included a few links below to get you started in this effort: http://www.microsoft.com/technet/security/...ts/default.mspx http://vil.mcafee.com/default.asp? http://www.f-secure.com http://www.cnet.com http://securityresponse.symantec.com http://netsecurity.about.com/b/a/013754.htm http://www.trendmicro.com/en/home/us/enterprise.htm As always, it's a good idea to keep your virus scanner up to date with the most recent virus definitions. If you do not have a virus scanner, you can run a free virus scan on your computer at: http://housecall.antivirus.com There's always someone doing something out there to try and screw up the works!!!!
  13. I wasn't certain where this should be posted, but, it does have to do with bad people on the net. Yesterday, I received an e mail purported to have come through e bay inquiring about the status of their item I sold in an auction. The writer said he had paid for the item, but, it still has not arrived and I should inform him immediately what I intend to do or he would give me a negative feedback and report me to E Bay. There was a link to the auction and I clicked on it to see what the item was. It was for a television set sold by someone with an ID I did not recognize and sold to some other person whose ID I did not recognize. The auction ended in February of 2005!! I was immediately suspicious and forwarded to entire e mail to spoof@ebay.com. Today, E Bay informed me of the following: "Hello, Thank you for writing to eBay regarding the email you received. We reviewed your report and found that although the message you received was made to appear as if it had been sent by an eBay user, it was not. Generally, individuals send messages of this nature hoping that the recipient will respond and reveal his or her return email address. These individuals will then use the email addresses they obtain to send unsolicited offers to buy or sell items outside of eBay." I wanted to post to let others know there are more than just phishing schemes occurring using E Bay and Paypal. There are people out there using this scheme to verify e mail addresses to add you to spam lists as well, so use caution. You can always verify whether a message came through E Bay by going to MY EBAY by logging in and checking your messages there. If it came from E Bay, it will also appear in "My Messages" within My E Bay. Cheers, Delbert
  14. You said they did it to you under BOTH IDs......???? What was the second ID, or did I miss that? Delbert
  15. You smell "a fish" ????!!!!!!! "you're gonna bait him'???? !!! whatever are you talking about? Here is an individual who has resources much greater than most of those hanging around here, so we are going to accuse him of something dishonest.... This person has been bidding and winning CDs from sellers all over planet earth......he isn't in collusion with someone to drive up prices......he's a late starting collector with deep pockets and goes after what he wants. The reason why many are heard to say "Oh, I'd never pay such and such for any CD" is because those many DO NOT HAVE THE DEEP POCKETS. Let's face it.....there are people in other countries that have almost no resources who wouldn't give you 1 cent for your whole collection because they have no resources or their resources are better used for another purpose.... Common.....give the guy a break! There's no BIG MYSTERY here........
  16. Yes...know exactly who you are referring to. He is still involved in bidding and now selling on E Bay under his new E Bay ID. I won't reveal his current E bay ID because he is still a good customer and I do buy things from him now and then as well. I can tell you that he, like many other buyers on E Bay went "hog wild" back then and ran up his credit card to an unmanageable state and then realized he needed to step back from his wild spending ways and regroup. He dropped off E bay for a season and then changed his ID and started buying and selling with a new "perspective"! I guess all of us that have been involved with E Bay and collecting in general for sometime have seen many jump in with both feet and try to amass a collection like the collectors who have been doing it for years....they soon discover that their "eyes are bigger than their wallets"!!! If we thought about it....I bet there would be a number of those OLD E Bay ID's that would pop into mind......
  17. "Ditto" Skelly.....I was just coming over to post and saw you already posted this suspicious seller......m-m-m-m-m http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...4723652654&rd=1 layout......wording.......location......only takes paypal......all the same....... I'm just naturally suspicious!!! Some people change E Bay IDs like some people change shoes.......to me, people who do that have a reason to hide or be unknown!!
  18. Likewise.....I have the highest esteem for Joachim Ehrhardt of Germany. We have traded several times and the titles he sends are perfect and timely. He has also bought CDs from my auctions many times (where we first met). And......he is such a friendly and helpful person. It's just an enjoyable experience to trade with people like this the worldover...... Delbert
  19. Dave: You can get those real nice Jap mylar sleeves from Sound Source in Los Angeles.......I've been buying them for years and they are the high quality ones that have the adhesive on the main section, not on the flap as the cheapies do. You can give them a ring at 877-465-1285 toll free or they have a web page at www.SoundSourceCDs.com They take mastercard, visa and paypal as well...... Now, for those 74MB Mitsui unbranded CDRs.......that's the silver discs with nothing on the label that someone asked about. Check around and you'll find that the Mitsui silver 74 mb discs are the premium......least amount of errors, stable and one of the most compatible with different players. A good place to see actual tests is media sciences web page....that's their business, evaluating recording media. Anyway, Contact Richard Grant at Disk-O-Tape, Inc. in Cleveland, Ohio.....for the Mitsui CDRs.....he's a great guy and will work with you. Tell him I sent yah! Toll free at 800-932-8273 they also have a web page at: www.disk-o-tape.com I buy them in the 100 lot without jewel cases and their shipping is by UPS and really quick. Visa and Mastercard accepted there as well...... Hope this helps, Delbert
  20. To file a complaint with PAYPAL because you haven't received your merchandise, first log into your PAYPAL account. Then, go to the top and click "resolution center". Look in the options given for "File A Claim" near the top left............. Follow the prompts and you will be assisted in obtaining your transaction code and asked for details of the transaction. Finally.........be patient after filing the complaint. Let the system do the work. Don't start e mailing the seller trying to intimidate him since you've filed a complaint. Just remain in a neutral position and BE PATIENT. The seller may contact you about the claim. If so, my suggestion is to courteously tell the seller that when the item arrives, you will certainly notify him it has arrived safely and will promptly cancel the complaint. Finally, thank him for his update! If he doesn't contact you............just wait and be patient (the hard part). Hope this helps and good luck! Delbert
  21. Just a thought........before you go posting negative feedback I have a suggestion. If you paid for your CD with PAYPAL, I would file a complaint with them (you now have up to 45 days). It has been my experience that those sellers that don't respond to your e mails suddenly wake up when PAYPAL tells them they are preparing to deduct X amount of cash from their account, or freeze their account pending an investigation! They suddenly find time to communicate with you and.....if the deal has gone bad, at least you can recover your payment. E Bay themselves also have a resolution system in place and you are covered for up to $200 if the seller fails to deliver or the product is substantially different that what was advertised in the auction. You can follow this link to work through E Bay......http://pages.ebay.com/securitycenter/faq/itemnotreceivedprocess.html?ssPageName=CMDV:AB I know you really have the urge to leave a nasty feedback, but for your own protection and to be sure, work the system.
  22. Unfortunately (depending if you are buyer or seller), that FRICTION - Baby Talk CD is very pricey. I agree with Jim in that you'd expect to pay in the $500 range for an original copy. I sold one about a year and a half ago on E bay and it fetched $665.00 which floored me at the time.....I didn't realize it was so in demand and hard to find. Another sold on E Bay late this past year for over $500, so I would enjoy the CDR if I were you!! As far as the mail coming out of Canada, I receive packages from Europe and Japan two or three times faster than anything arrives from Canada. And they are our neighbors......go figure!! BUT, I sure hate those sellers who ignore your e mails.......just plain rude if you ask me.
  23. Danny I've dealth with Pascal for quite some time....he is very reliable. I've noticed everything I get from him takes longer than from anywhere else. He is over in Belgium and for some reason the mail is slower from them! I wouldn't worry....as Adriano said, Pascal is a stand up guy and a pleasure to transact with. Cheers, Delbert
  24. I like many others, were tempted to bid in this auction, however, after talking to some collector friends was dissuaded because of the skeptical offerings. I've read the fallout and truly know how some of you feel, losing your hard earned cash, receiving unwarranted negative feedbacks, being duped with CDRs instead of original pressings and finally.......being worked over and discarded by PAYPAL!!!! (I too was scammed on E Bay last July and raped by PAYPAL) I know how most of you are probably feeling about PAYPAL and it's way of doing business. They are focused on $$$$$$$$$ and not on their customers. After my experience, I was prepared to cancel my PAYPAL account and go on my merry way without them. Again, my good collector friends dissuaded me from taking action which I would later regret. It was pointed out to me that by not offering PAYPAL as a payment option in my auctions, I would lose many good bids and contacts because so many buyers/CD collectors want the convenience of paying with PAYPAL. And yes, it is convenient. I enjoy using it to pay for auctions I bid on as well. After careful thought, I licked my wounds and continued on.......although much much more cautious and naturally aware of who I am transacting with now. For those who may be thinking likewise......rethink your situations carefully and don't act from emotion, but determine how closing your PAYPAL accounts will affect your CD collecting, auction sales and convenience. Finally, the day is coming when there will be payment options similiar to what PAYPAL currently holds a monopoly to. Possibly VISA, MASTERCARD or AMERICAN EXPRESS will get the revelation that this is a wide open market for their operations (which are governed by state and US federal regulations unlike PAYPAL who claim to be transfer agents instead of banking operations). That would be a great day for all of us to see some competition in this money transfer market which would make companies like PAYPAL responsive to their customers..........
  25. Many of you collectors know me, I've bought and sold on E Bay for several years and traded with many of you. Some of you have posted searching for artwork and I've just sent it over to you without asking anything in return. Last month, I unfortunately became involved in a transaction with an individual from the UK who uses the E Bay ID of PXPSI. To this day, I do not know his name. He paid me $305 for 4 CDs won on E Bay using PAY PAL and he identified himself as P-K T with the PAY PAL payment. He insisted his package be sent express mail and gave me a list of things I must do to send his package and in his very first e mail, told me he wasn't going to be overcharged for postage like all the American sellers do to him. That should have put up a red flag for me. Being the amiable person I am, I deviated from my posted and normal mailing methods and submitted to his wishes and sent the package with Express Mail tracking. The USPS express mail tracking number was ER 339264151US and the USPS.COM web site indicates it was delivered. He had me address the package to TSAI. No name! He now claims he did not get his package and filed a Pay Pal complaint. They have deducted his payment from my account and at this moment, my PAY PAL account is frozen. I told him I would file an iquiry with the post office to see who signed for the package and the delivery address, but, he couldn't wait for that. He insisted I send him $305 immediately. The guy has given me negative feedback on E Bay two weeks after the transaction and now he e mails continuously wanting me to tell him the progress of the insurance claim because he wants me to send him the insurance money too. I'm out $300 worth of CDs, he got $305 deducted from my PAY PAL account, now he is insisting I send him more money from insurance. If I conceded to his wishes, this transaction will eventually cost me close to $1,000.00. I recall a few months ago a thread on melodicrock.com about someone else having a bad experience with a fellow in the UK and was wondering if I screwed up and dealt with the same fellow? At least, I want those of you selling and trading to be aware of this guy so you don't experience the fate I was subjected to. Oh yes, this guy uses several Yahoo web based e mail addresses and they do not bear his name either. I guess I should make that rule #1. If someone refuses to tell you about himself or his name, that is a good indication he has something to hide and can slip into the shadows. This experience has really taken the wind out of my sails and I certainly don't want any of you to have to go through this! Cheers, Delbert .................. E Bay ID "delclemons"
