  1. I kind of liked the show. The problem is that the show has absolutely nothing to do with the movies. It's like they just decided to take the characters from the movie and throw them into a random story. The Sarah Connor character is completely different from the movies to the show and John Connor acts completely different in all the Terminator stuff. It also seems they have thrown out all the rules set forth in the series. The show allows anyone and everyone to jump through time like it's no big deal. The show may be decent entertainment, but it should in no way be linked directly to the movies. It should only be an "What If" scenario.
  2. Sorry mate. I can't agree with you on Amy Reid. She looks too much like a girl I know and I don't find myself the least bit attracted to her. Maybe if I didn't know this girl I might like Amy more. Does that make any sense?
  3. My new favorite girl, Hanna Hilton.
  4. Just because a band is from Tulsa doesn't mean that I give a crap about them. There were many bands from the area I know about and haven't really mentioned on this site. I only talk about the bands that caught my attention. I truely believe that Detective, Jungle Blue, and L.O.U.D. were great bands that deserved so much better. I'm not a huge fan of Doxy either. I think their music is good, but Kevin Bunch can't sing. What this has to do with L.A. Guns is beyond me. None of those bands have sounds that are even somewhat close to L.A. Guns, which is probably why I like them so much. Honestly, it doesn't matter when a band came out or if they were first or not. Just because they were first doesn't mean they were best. Originality still has to sound good. L.A. Guns do not. This whole arguement is stupid anyway. The reason I got so mad about it is because everyone is kicking Tracii Guns. Who cares if Tracii is a jackass? He's not the only one to blame for L.A. Guns woes. If they would have had some kind of solid lineup for any length of time there wouldn't be a problem now. Everybody keeps saying Phil Lewis is L.A. Guns. Where the hell was he when Jizzy Pearl, Chris Van Dahl, and whoever else became the lead singer at that moment in time? Tracii Guns is L.A. Guns whether anyone wants to admit that or not. Without him there would have been no band. Phil may have been the sound of the band, but he has no more claim to the name than Tracii. I wish those two could bury the hatchet so this whole stupid arguement would die.
  5. You've got it wrong there Glam Junkie. L.A. Guns is the definition of generic. Most of the music I listen to is defined by originality. That's why you never see me kissing Poison or Motley Crue's arse either. Just a couple decent bands that managed to find a successful niche. I've heard Cocked & Loaded and Hollywood Vampires. It bored me. Other than a couple tracks like 17 Crash I couldn't find anything memorable. I was there at Rocklahoma. I saw L.A. Guns and they weren't that bad. Trainwreck Taime has even been forgotten in favor of the Tracii Guns smearing. People who went to that show were bitching about everything. It didn't matter the artist, there was still someone out there complaining about them. I'm sure there were even people out there somewhere complaining about Dokken and they smoked everyone. The bitching continues even now. On the Rocklahoma boards people were trying to lynch Sam because his label will have a tent at this years event. Their ticket will cost the same no matter what and they're still mad. Just goes to show that some people can't be pleased.
  6. Oney and Cobra Dane. I know there's a pretty good chance I'll at least get to see one of them in the not too distant future.
  7. Don't even mess with the Rockdetector book. It's pretty lame. There's a review that I wrote 4 years ago about it. I just noticed all of the errors I made in writing it. Sometimes it's hard to look at the past. What I wrote is still true today. My grammatical errors just make it a little hard to appreciate.
  8. Since 90% of the stuff on tv right now is crap or reruns I didn't even bother with checking. I watched 3 episodes of Kojak tonight. After the last one ended I flipped the channel to CBS to find Jericho about to go off. It's hard to believe I missed it. I guess I'll remember next week.
  9. I can see why the auction was ended early. Ebay clearly doesn't like the truth to be told. It's interesting how funny the many ways to rip sellers off can be. I think someone like Seinfeld should add this to their routine.
  10. I was perfectly happy not caring about L.A. Guns. Now all I see everywhere is people complain about how stupid Tracii is. It's not just Tracii, it's the whole thing top to bottom. Everything about it is stupid. Is there any way to settle this? Get Dr. Phil to act as a mediator to settle the problem? Everyone can have a good cry and put the most legitimate version of L.A. Guns back together.
  11. The more I hear about L.A. Guns the more I hate them. I'm starting to wish both bands would disappear so people would shut up about it. They were a second rate band at best and would be no real loss if gone.
  12. I have no idea what I'll be doing at that point in time. I'm not even 100% sure what I'll be doing this summer. No telling where I'll be at either. I do know that I better not still be in this house. I know that much. I would like to travel around the US. I'm pretty immature and the unknown scares me. Maybe in the not too distant future I will be able to overcome that and go to Minnesota, Arizona, and all of these cool places and explore their vast amounts of stuff. I wouldn't rule out a visit to NJ though. I would like to meet Jay and Silent Bob. Those guys are cool. I'll try my darndest to get to Rocklahoma 08' though. My friends will be there and another band I'm pretty high on said they would sign stuff for me. If Brian is there he better sign me a Buster Cherry cd too.

    AAFL

I hadn't heard about it until now. Sounds like a good idea. Having a semi professional league will allow good players that have slipped through the cracks a second chance. The NFL has a problem of throwing players under a bus if they're not immediately as good as they were supposed to be. Hopefully something like the AAFL will help that problem not be quite as bad.
  14. I go in there every once in a while. I usually give up after an hour or two of nobody ever showing up.
  15. I'll be watching it. I'm a fan of the show and it's not like there's a whole lot else out there to watch.
  16. I still have Firehouse- Hold Your Fire in my cassette player. I listened to it earlier today. Since this topic was brought up I'll probably listen to it again.
  17. The new Sarah Connor is a bit lacking. I'm hoping her acting gets better as the show goes along. Sometimes it was almost hard to watch she was so bad. Looks like they could have just put some makeup on Linda Hamilton. Nobody would have known the difference. I would also like to point out that I love T3. I just got the HD-DVD version of it in the mail today. It was a great movie. One of Arnold's finest.
  18. It's all about the way Phil sings. He sounds like he should be fronting a band like Big Bang Babies or Queeny Blast Pop. He's certainly not a sleaze calibur singer. If I'm listening to a sleaze band I want to hear a singer like Jason McMaster not some sugar coated candy glam guy. Phil's voice just doesn't fit with what the band proclaims to be. With all of that said I do have to admit that I thought Torme was alright.
  19. For me it’s an easy pick when one of them is releasing great music and the other hasn’t really released anything good for a long, long time. Don't you mean ever? L.A. Guns has never released anything good. A couple decent tracks on Cocked & Loaded and a by the numbers release with Hollywood Vampires. I can only imagine how bad the other releases are.
  20. This is definite flame bait and in the right place. I really wish people would stop talking about the whole L.A. Guns thing. Every time I hear about it it pisses me off. I've stated my opinion on this too many times already. I'll do it again because someone has to be on the other side. L.A. Guns with Phil Lewis sucks. No matter how you slice it they just plain suck. Also, how can you call any L.A. Guns band the original one? They've had like 500 hundred members over the years. What lineup can you point to and call it the original one? If you look at the guys who made the band what it was it comes down to Tracii and Phil. The 2 guys are in different versions of the band so it's not possible to say which one is the real one. It's not Paul Black, the guy who once upon a time was in L.A. Guns, and a couple random guys claiming to be the real L.A. Guns, but 2 guys that have equal rights in the fans eyes.
  21. I don't know why, but every time I try to go into chat nobody else joins me. I know I have a one track mind and all. Still you would think at least a couple others would jump in when there are 10 or so people on the boards.
  22. I've been trying to put together a Tulsa one for ages. Most of the guys that were in those bands don't seem to want to talk about it any more. Kind of strange. Wish I would have known about the Chicago one. Would have loved to have heard those Disturbed guys when they were in Vandal.
  23. Just sharing the love. I spend so much time dealing with my own problems I don't participate enough here. Just wanted to say thanks for all the advice. It should be useful in the future.

  24. How could you not love the man who brought us Shotgun Alli? Good stuff. I can only hope I will be able to deliver something on par. Hopefully some Eye Candy.

  25. Very true. Amen. Uttering these crappy fast food names as Mexican food is blasphemous. You can't just say one is better. Fast food has many flaws, but it also has some very big advantages. My favorite Mexican food is tacos and burritos. Just about every time I go to Bueno or another fast food place I get those 2 things. I'm being 100% honest when I say that I don't think I've ever had a taco or burrito from a sit down Mexican place that tasted as good. I think that maybe once or twice I've encountered a taco that can compare, but that's because it had steak in it. Sit down places cannot make a good burrito. They just flat out suck. So if I want a burrito or a taco I'll just go to a fast food place. It's cheaper and it tastes better. Simple as that. What sit down restaurants do better is provide you stuff that is more complicated than fast food. If you have the time to sit down and enjoy a good meal there are a few things they can do that fast food can't. Places like El Chico and Monterey's have top notch enchiladas. If I want that, chimichungas, or whatever else comes to mind I'll get it there. The food is more expensive and you get what you pay for. The chips and salsa are usually better too, though I do love Buenos salsa. I also wanted to mention the fact that Taco Bueno has breakfast. Does any of the other places around the country have breakfast? I must say that it's fantastic. Who would've thought a burrito with eggs in it would taste so good? The only bad thing is that you don't really see a whole lot of people there that early in the morning. I'm hoping it lasts because their food is so great.
