  1. Poison can't even compare to Ratt. How can you top an album like Detonator? I don't think you can and Poison never released anything even remotely close to that masterpiece.
  2. As busy as I am right now I know that I wouldn't have time for it. In a couple weeks I should be a lot more free. Between work and school I'm getting my butt kicked. I can't wait till it's all said and done. Then I can spend more time with my Internet buddies. If and when it happens I'll be here. I just hope that there will no longer be enormous obstacles in the way of me and my hobbies.
  3. I think Vain is pretty lame. They look cool and all, but their music just isn't very good. I still haven't got the Crashdiet cd yet. Some of what I heard was alright and other stuff not so much. I can't fairly assess though.
  4. I bid on some of the rare tapes too. I'm guessing these guys are doing me no favors. I'm not jumping into a bidding war with people that can't pay. I know for sure that I can't keep up with that.
  5. I got that message from glamster1970 on February 20th. I got that message from them on February 21st after I sent a message asking why they thought I had Kidd Wikkid. It seems as though they have an insatiable need for Hair Metal cassettes, even more so than me.
  6. I never asked luck313 about the tape. I didn't feel it was right to get something I didn't earn.
  7. I must be the only one who hasn't had any bad dealings with him. I always thought luck313 was a cool person. The new person glamster1970 kind of fits with what luck313 does though. They asked me about the Kidd Wikkid I had. I asked them why they thought I had Kidd Wikkid. They then asked for my rare music list. I don't want to part with any of my music, so I didn't reply.
  8. That's my favorite beer. Just reading all of the replies in this thread makes me want some beer. To be honest I've stated that I don't like beer. It's funny what you start to like when you're trying to relax. I'm definetely going to a bar this coming Friday. I haven't had a beer since Monday and that seems too long, but not so long when you consider the fact that I hadn't had one since December 30th before that. I had some drinks at a friends house, soon to be ex friend, on Monday. I'm not really sure if you can consider Bud Select a drink though. Bud almost tastes like ash in my mouth. I'm definetely going to get some Miller and possibly a Dos Equis XX with lime. Also, I think we should start a thread for worst beers if there isn't one already. A poll would be appropriate too.
  9. Wild Boyz is one of the most generic Hair Metal band I have ever seen. Their lyrics, riffs, and songs in general are generic. One of the songs even seems to have a timing problem. It's just all over the place. Another song has the exact same opening as a Slik Toxik song. I'm not sure who ripped who off, but either one of them ripping the other off wasn't exactly a good idea. The only song that I truely love is Forever. It's such a great song. The other is just average filler.
  10. I got ripped by him a few years ago. I tried and tried to get the tapes I won from him. Eventually I gave him bad feedback. He left negative feedback on me saying I was trying to ruin his reputation over $1 tapes. The amount I won from him totaled over $20. Later he said he would make it up to me. He gave a list of music for me to choose from and I picked Trixie along with something else I believe. I told him my address again and that was basically the last time I heard from him. He soon disappeared from Ebay.
  11. I have Roxxi on tape. Roxxi is on Ebay quite often actually. I really want it on cd, but it usually goes for more than I'm willing to pay.
  12. You dudes don't know what hard is until you try to locate Tulsa Glam Metal. It's hard as hell to find. Aristaya-I'm guessing this was a Tulsa band. They have ties to Broken Arrow anyway. Just found the one demo. Beast-aka Doxy, only pressed on vinyl. I have never seen it and I've barely met anyone who has. Doxy-Innocent Til Proven Nasty, only released on cassette. I have a copy, but it's impossible to find. Firstryke-Only pressed on vinyl and cassette. Near impossible to find. Only saw it once and it was $50 used and $75 new on vinyl. Flaxen Harlot-can't find anything Hard To Get-My friend Jimmy is the lead singer in the band and he's trying to hook me up High Dollar-Same as Hard To Get Iron Crucifix-barely heard of it Jungle Blue-only one demo and I found it on accident. I really hope there is more. KlockWorq-only one demo and I'm lucky I found that L.O.U.D.-One of the luckiest finds ever. They have another elusive Tulsa demo floating around out there. Pray Naked-can't find anything Stick & Move-barely heard of it I challege anybody to find this stuff. You'll pull your hair out trying.
  13. We need to tap Tiffany Teen for the cover of the upcoming Hollywood Harlot release. When I say "we" I mean "I" and when I say "tap" I mean in every way imaginable .
  14. I'll be interested to see how this one plays out. I think we've seen just about everything you could possibly think of come out of this one. I wonder if this will someday be on one of those mystery shows they have on tv. That would be crazy. This seems exactly like one of the stories told on 48 Hours Mystery or whatever that show is. I like that show, but I didn't want to have a real life story play out in front of my eyes.
  15. I am speechless on what I have read. When I first saw this topic I could hardly believe it had 7 pages in just a couple days. I kept reading because it just didn't seem right. Not sure I'm glad I did cause now I feel sick. This almost seems like a story on CSI or something. The whole thing just seems crazy. I still don't get the reason they made up the story about the wreck. All that did was draw more attention to the fraud. Also, how in the hell is it possible that in the long drawn out time it has taken for him to sign, remaster, and prepare to release albums that not one of the bands he supposedly signed ever find out? I thought that within our community we had connections to just about everything.
  16. Wasn't that the band that was in the Lindsay Lohan movie Just My Luck? If it was I don't think they were too bad. I wouldn't go out of my way to hear them of course.
  17. I invited JustJason to a Hollywood Harlot show on the 29th of this month. He can't come cause he works that day. Such a shame cause I planned on getting really toasted. I really hope they have alcohol there. If it's an all ages thing I kind of doubt it. It's been a while since I've had a good buzz. I just wish beer wasn't $2.50-$3.00 a longneck.
  18. Please come to Oklahoma and bring Oney with you. I would love to meet Chuck Oney in person.
  19. I like hearing samples to get an idea of what a band sounds like. The Cobra Dane clips made me want it bad, and I still do. It seems like in most cases though samples don't really give you a decent representation of what the band is. Hearing 20-30 seconds of a song just isn't enough. The idea of putting up a full mp3 is a much better idea. That probably opens up a whole other can of worms and I'm sure no one wants to get into that debate, but that's how I feel about it.
  20. Wow! How things can change in a couple days. It turns out that my music was annoying the people I was working with. Who knew? In order to simply override me they tried piping Country music over the intercom throughout the whole store. I had no idea it was in retaliation to what I did. Glad somebody told them to turn it off. I did have to suffer through 3 hours of Classic Rock. That's enough to make you kill yourself. I'm bringing in Hardline on Monday. If they don't like that they can S.M.D. cause I can't take much more Classic Rock or Country. Hearing CCR 3 times in 3 hours is too much.
  21. This past week at work I've been bringing in music to listen to. It's such a great feeling to be able to listen to music I actually like and crank it up. Nobody has complained yet. Last Friday I brought in Warrant-DRFSR and Vinnie Vincent Invasion-All Systems Go. Only got through part of VVI because a coworker can't stand Mark Slaughter's voice. I can deal with that though. Monday I brought in Tuff-What Comes Around Goes Around, Ratt-Detonator, and Concrete Jungle-Wear And Tear. Today I brought in Concrete Jungle again, Rozy Coyote, and Doxy-Talk Is Cheap. It's so awesome because for the longest time I had to suffer through hearing Alternacrap at Target and at Kohl's they were always playing elevator music. It made me want to kill myself. It got me out of having to hear 70's rock the past week and today it got me out of hearing hours of Country. Every minute without country music is priceless. Anyway, how bout the rest of ya? Any such luck as good as mine?
  22. I can't wait to hear the new Oney. I was listening to Oney before most people here had even heard of them. Chuck is such a cool guy.
  23. I guess I'm the only one who saw the Sludge site hacked. I should have taken a screen cap to show everyone.
  24. I never did like Metal Sludge. To me it was a waste what they did with their resources. They could have been the best Hair Metal site hands down and they turned it into a tabloid. Tabloid crap annoys me and finding that they did it to Hair Metal didn't sit to well with me. Also, I didn't think Sludge even existed any more. The past couple days I've tried to go to the site it's said it was hacked.
  25. I never had any problems with him before. Seems a few others around here have. Last time people felt they got ripped by him they posted here and he tried to defend himself. Can't say he did too well, but he did show. Maybe if you raise enough hell he'll send what he originally stated. Sellers can't take the bad press.
