  1. I went to Qdoba on Friday. It was freakin expensive. Pretty good food though. It's not really like a Bueno or Bell in any way. It's like gourmet Mexican food. It was nearly $2 for a steak Taco. The cheapest taco they had was a chicken taco and it was like $1.69. I also got a steak burrito and it was like $5.50. For 2 items it cost me $8.55. It was good but not that good. I could have got like 8 bean burritos at Bueno for that price. That night when I was getting drunk with my cousin and some other people they had the idea to get Mr. Tacos. I was a bit gone so it sounded great to me. The taco platter was freakin good. It had 6 mini tortillas, steak taco filling, rice, and beans. The hot sauce mixed in made it perfect. I have to say that eating Mexican food while drunk is the only way to go. That's what me and my friends always do.
  2. That's freakin hilarious. I went to 2 liquor stores on my lunch break Friday. Really wanted to buy a sample bottle of Jagermeister. A bottle of Schnapps would have been nice too. School don't take too kindly to alcohol though.
  3. I found some more chains. I knew about La Salsa but I forgot about it. I think I might have even heard about El Pollo Loco before. I also found that Maui Tacos has a location in Jersey. Not sure if that will help you out or not because I'm not sure of it's location in relation to you, Fat Freddy, but I thought I'd mention it. El Pollo Loco La Salsa Maui Tacos Mighty Taco Rubios Taco Box Zantigo Also, here's the Baja Fresh website.
  4. What about Cobra Dane? I really want that cd but I want it silver pressed. $13.99 is a bit high for a cdr if you know what I mean.
  5. That's a shame that most people only know what Taco Bell is. Taco Bell is lacking in so many ways. At Bueno the food is so much better. They have fresh salsa that owns. Some of the best salsa that I've ever eaten. The original salsa is the best. The newer salsa they have isn't as good. Crunchy tacos, soft tacos, tostados, bean burritos, Mucho nachos, nacho salad, and so many of their platters like the Chilada platter that are just so good. One of the best things they have is their Potato Burrito. It has a crunchy hashbrown inside with beef, lettuce, sour cream, and cheese sauce. It's oh so good and even better when you add the salsa to it. Bueno is a great fast food Mexican place. Don't get me wrong though, Bueno has a lot of stuff that I wouldn't eat. Their chicken taquitos are gross. They're too expensive to be so gross. The chicken potato burrito is too gross to describe. I think in general anything with chicken at Bueno probably sucks. Wanted to try the new chicken Chilada platter but figured it would probably suck.
  6. I've been wondering about this for a while. Ever since that fast food topic I've kind of wondered what people's take would be on Mexican fast food. I ate some Bueno for lunch and it sparked my interest again. There is an ever growing amount of Mexican fast food chains. I've tried a few places and I have to say that my favorite is Taco Bueno. Taco Bueno is the stuff where I live. Most people in my town go to Bueno. Bell rarely has as many people. I used to love Taco Bell. The more I ate Bueno the more I realized how much Bell sucks. Everything that they made failed in comparision to the competition. Some of their exclusive stuff like Chalupas are great but not worth the price they charge. I tend to stay away from Bell just because of that. Taco Mayo was a franchise started in Norman, Ok. There are a few in Tulsa. I love their burritos but the rest of their stuff sucks bad. Tulsa also has a Taco Tico and a Taco Cabana. Not sure if I've ever tried either of those. Green Burrito was part of Carl's Jr. in town but Carl's Jr. went out of business. Not sure if I ever tried it. We used to have Atomic Burritos in Tulsa and they were really popular. I thought it was going to be the next big Mexican franchise. The company that owned them also owned night clubs and the night clubs were more profitable so they decided to focus on that and they sold their Atomic Burrito franchise to Qdobo. We now have 3 Qdobos in Tulsa and I still need to try them. I heard that Tulsa is getting a few Taco Del Mar's this year but have not heard about any opening yet. I can't wait to try it. Del Taco is now in the bordering states so I know it won't be too long until we get ours. Haven't really heard much about Taco Time, Taco Palace, or Chipotle but I thought I'd put the info out there. Cipotle Del Taco Green Burrito Qdobo Taco Bell Taco Bueno Taco Cabana Taco Del Mar Taco Mayo Taco Palace Taco Tico Taco Time So, what is everybody's thoughts?
  7. I never had a chance to read classic Circus. Every time I saw music mags in stores they would make me gag. Just reading Spin and Rolling Stone was about enough to kill me. I especially hate Rolling Stone. Stupid Liberal mag that makes fun of my music. I do have a couple old issues of Hollywood Rocks. That's about all I got in terms of music. About the only magazines that I got into were gaming ones. Was a big fan of Next Generation. Game Players and GameFan were pretty cool too. All the best ones go under.
  8. The top of my list has to be Mark Slaughter. Mark is just an amazing vocalist. The rest are all good so I can't decide. Mark Slaughter Axl Rose Drew Hannah "Dizzy" Dean Davidson Stephen Pearcy Steve Whiteman C.J. Snare
  9. That took freaking forever to get my Doxy cd. Worth the wait for my towns glam heroes, or at least it's my heroes from my town. That's the second time I've had trouble getting something from Canada. First time the Canadian Post Office couldn't figure out an address so it took them a month or more just to deliver my payment. Last time they put the wrong Zip on the box so it slowed it down. Makes me not want to mess with it. I've got my eye on something from Canada right now. Also makes me wonder if it's worth the trouble. Here's going for 3/3 with Canadian trouble.
  10. I was going to buy that cd from Amazon but they no longer carried it. Disappoints me because I was going to show it off to people I go to school with. The girls in the Health Science class would probably get a kick out of it.
  11. Roxxi just plain ownz. The others I've heard from that list just can't compare.
  12. How come Poison never released those songs under their Poison banner? They should do a Hollywood Rose type thing with those songs. Paris- The Bleached Blonde Roots Of Poison or something like that. I would like to have that.
  13. At one point this was one of the top albums of all time for me. After further listens and hearing other artists it becomes obvious how cliched they are. Still some good tracks to be had here.
  14. How the hell did he get Oney? Chuck and Scott never even mentioned it to me. I might have to e-mail them about it.
  15. I got the following cds that I know and think are rare. Big Bang Babies- Big Bang Babies, which I got for free from Gerry Gittleson to say sorry for any confusion on our transactions. How cool would that have been to be their manager? Uncle Edna- Uncle Edna, which I got from the Jillson drummer
  16. This is my list of my favorite albums. Technically you could say that it's my favorite bands. There isn't one band on that list who has released what I could call multiple masterpieces. The stuff after Appetite wasn't masterpieces so even GN'R couldn't fit the criteria. At one time I thought Kix would fit because of Midnite Dynamite and Blow My Fuse. For some reason I just can't get into Blow My Fuse like I did. I love bands like AC/DC, Aerosmith, and Journey but I just can't justify calling any of them my favorite bands either. All of them have the same problem with consistency and I don't really listen to much of them any more. At any rate the bands and albums I listed still stand the test of time. They're all masterpieces in my eyes and I can't narrow it down any further.
  17. I understand why guitar solo albums don't have any vocals. It's just that they are so sorely lacking in every other way without the vocals to back them up. When I listen to a guitar solo album I'm expecting to hear some Vinnie Vincent, Tim Kelly, or Brent Woods esque shredding. The stuff I'm hearing isn't anything like that.
  18. Yesterday and today I've been listening to Joe Satriani. I've come to the conclusion that guitar soloists are lame. No matter how good a guitarist is I just can't listen to somebody that plays like he does. There's no vocals on most of his work and the jazzy feel just doesn't sit well with me. The music stays pretty much the same throughout. I don't hear any hooks, shredding, or anything that I would think would be on a guitar record. Other guitar soloist work I've heard seems to hover around the same concept Satriani emplores. The only one I've heard so far that I remember some what liking is Jeff Scheetz-Woodpecker Stomp. Is it just me? I just can't see why people like Satriani. Are there any soloists who actually play guitar like it's meant to be heard?
  19. I usually buy cassettes so the couple dollars I spend on a tape doesn't bother me that much. The more expensive it is the more ticked off I get. I've been burned by sellers who claim stuff is new or in mint condition. I got a Slaughter shirt that said good condition and it was falling apart. All kinds of other messed up stuff too. That is the only bad thing about Ebay. People can make up anything they want to and they don't have to back it up.
  20. I watched Batman Begins again on Wednesday. I also watched it opening day. It is an excellent movie. If only all movies could be that good.
  21. I was searching on Ebay when I found that auction. It dumbfounds me greatly. The first problem I see is that luck313 bid on it. He said he doesn't buy cds. The second problem is that it's a re-release. Something about both aspects seem greatly disturbing. If Retrospect is a legitimate record company it would look like they would press 1000+ copies or whatever the demand may be and sell it for like $20 a piece. Also, they should make it very clear that they are selling a re-release and not the original. You don't see Metal Mayhem, Perris, and the other record companies out there pulling this suspicious junk.
  22. I had a run in with Davesmetal I believe last year. He had a bunch of new Hair Metal tapes that I wanted and they were only $1 a piece. I'm not sure of how many I won, but the total came out to be $25. I tried for what was about a month to get a total from him. After I got the total I sent the payment out fairly fast. He get the payment and then tells me the package is on the way. Another month or so goes by and still nothing. I e-mail him and say that I never got the package. Several e-mails later and still no tapes I start to get irritated. It's been a total of 3-4 months now and finally I just give him bad feedback. I didn't give bad feedback on all of the auctions, but the feedback from him still hurt my Ebay rating. He tried to blame it on me being impatient and the fact that it was the holiday season. Yeah, it takes like 4 months to deliver a few tapes. Eventually he e-mailed me and said he would make things right. He asked me what items I won and told me he would give me credit. I told him what I won and I told him I wanted Trixie. He agreed and said he would gather the items. A few e-mails later and eventually no replies I just gave up. I wasted about half a year trying to get $25 in tapes. I gotta know, wouldn't it have just been easier to have sent me the tapes in the first place? Would have saved himself and so many others so much pain.
