You say that like it's a bad thing.

Halloween - On Blu-Ray came today

CLASSIC :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::bowdown:

So it's worth upgrading fom dvd to blu-ray?

Dave, haven`t watched it all yet, only snippets to check picture quality, I`m no expert but the dark scenes look grainy and the light scenes look very good.

Two more bargain bin pickups @ Rite Aid:

evil_breed.jpg

A gang of "college students" and their professor (played by retired porn stars Jenna Jameson, Ginger Lynn Allen and Chasey Lain) vs. a tribe of cannibal mutants in the Irish countryside! You know with a description like that it's gotta be quality.

Wowser! Let me know what this one's like. I wonder if it's *gasp* as bad as 'Zombie Strippers.'

Watched this one last night Geoff, and it was pretty awful ... in the most wonderful sort of way. Haha. See my comments in the "last movie you watched" thread for more.

The trick-casting of a couple of porn stars serves no real purpose to be honest -- most of them make little more than quick cameos as victims and they're gone in a flash, except for ONE particular scene involving Jenna Jameson that has to be seen to be believed. Haha.

But still, if you like pretty gals, gratuitous nudity and gore, this is worth a look.

Wow, that is awesome. I've recently bought all these too, for bargain prices, but not quite that cheap. I'd love to have that set like that for convenience's sake. I've actually enjoyed all of these films, though I am yet to see the latest one. Looking forward to it, though.

Pretty nice. Actually the second film is still missing from my collection. But it's on my 'list'. For a while.

I couldn't resist... it boils down to $2.50 per movie!

I still think the first "F.D." is the best of the series (of course) -- the rest have their moments too, but by the 4th film the "formula" has been so set in stone that you can practically recite the dialogue along with the characters. (i.e. "We were supposed to die! By not dying we messed up Death's plan! Now he's trying to close the loop!" etc., etc.)

I got as far as FD2, thought it was one of the worst films I'd ever seen (vying for worst horror with 'Children of the Corn') and gave up. Yeah, some of the deaths are pretty cool, but the story is terrible, more plot flaws than most time travel films. :anon:

My wife and I were discussing this earlier and we both agreed that "FD2" is the weakest of the series. The characters are all so obnoxiously annoying that there's no one to root for, you're just sitting there WANTING them all to get killed. Though I gotta say, that opening disaster scene with the gigantic highway crash is friggin' epic. There's also a great scene where a kid gets literally pulped by a falling pane of window glass.

Yeah, I know. I'm sick.

Never seen Showgirls, but I'm guessing that it's one you won't be watching with your wife lol

I can't remember the last DVD (music or movie) that I bought.

My wife bought me Grand Designs season 7 (I think) and I may have watched only one or two episodes....

You are now called DVD JUNKY.. :preach:

Y'know, you're right. I've bought WAY more DVDs than CDs this year... and yet I don't even consider myself a DVD "collector" (most of the sh*t I buy, I watch it once, maybe twice and then it gets yard-saled or traded)... it's just that nowadays, you can find cheap DVDs just about everywhere but I gotta get in my car and go on a f*ckin expedition just to find a halfway decent CD store!!!
