REO Speedwagon - Live...You Get What You Play For & Nine Lives

Hmmmm.... good ones there. "Nine Lives" is strangely enough my favorite REO release.

But right now "Live... You Get What You Play For" seems like a good one to spin.

Thanks for the idea...

You are very welcome! I hadn't listen to the Live...YGWYPF in some time. Excellent songs from the early years. Nine Lives is a fave of mine, too. I saw them on that tour & really enjoyed that show. Not many of the guys left in the band from then, & Gary Richrath was/is damn good, in some ways he was/is kinda underrated, IMO, but I really like his playing/style. Most of the classic REO features his terrific leads/fills/solos.

METAL CHURCH - Blessing In Disguise

I love this album but the usually faultless Terry Date totally let them down on here. The bass just drowns everything else out.

I agree... fantastic album, but the production blows...I used to think my cassette sounded bad just because I'd played it to death, but when I upgraded to CD and heard that for the first time, I was like "Mmm, nope, it really did sound that bad all along."
