What's a spinnin' in your CD player?

Alcatrazz - Disturbing The Peace

Alcatrazz - No Parole For Rock'n Roll

Rainbow - Down To Earth

In a Graham Bonnett mood?

Yes mate. Haven't spun these in quite a while. I picked up the Alcatrazz Live '83 disc today, which got me in the mood. 'Disturbing The Peace' really is a belting disc and they were a really good band - a little underated maybe?. 'Down To Earth' is a fantastic album aswell. I know alot of people didn't like Bonnet after RJD, but I think some of the songs on here are fantastic. There is a 2 disc Deluxe version later in the year (along with 'Rising' and 'Long Live RnR'), which will be tres cool. ;)

I love the Down to Earth album but Graham's voice gets a little grating after a while for me. I also liked Alcatrazz and even his other band Blackthorne wasn't to bad. I'll have to look out for those deluxe Rainbow's. I have most of the remasters that are out now but no point in finishing that collection if there's different ones coming soon.

To annoy the enemy a bit more.....

Yngwie Malmsteen - Eclipse

I don't think my missus would be too keen either, although it should be a criminal offence not to love the guitar solo in 'Making Love'.

If I want to really annoy her though, a Death Metal CD usually does the trick. Funny that... ;)

    • It's ok. I think people know I am a massive Crue fan, and I like a lot of stuff by them that people hate (the Generation Swine album for example) but the only newer original song I have cared about them in recent years was The Dirt. Everything else has been either meh or crap. I did also like their cover of Like a virgin, which I know a lot of peeps didn't like, so it's not like I am just craving the good old days. I would be happy if we could get a song close to Afraid, Saints of Los Angeles or the aforementioned The Dirt. I think songs like that will be few and far between sadly.
    • Have to agree. Although my expectations were that it would be absolutely horrible like Dogs of War lol. Still far away from classic Motley Crue but I at least made it all the way through this one so that's a positive. Still nothing to write home about but at least it rocks fairly well and there's a semblance of a song there.
    • Just ordered!   All three Magic Dance EPs (Another World, Kiss Scene and Haunting Me) combined into one CD. All new artwork, lyric booklet and three bonus tracks. Silver-pressed replication CD.     https://magicdance.bandcamp.com/album/magic-dance-the-eps
