Orianthi - 'Believe'

Not bad for an Aussie eh ;-)

Yeah, not bad at all. Only halfway through, but the title track and 'Bad news' are excellent so far, as well as the single. :) The thing I honestly don't understand is that the Aussie media floods us with overkill for every single Aussie that does anything ever, and even AC/DC, Russell Crowe and Mel Gibson's every movements are followed and I believe none are actually really "real" Aussies. But this Orianthi girl seems to be going along pretty much unnoticed by the Aussie public and I'm not really sure why, as this is surely the most successful album from an Aussie in a long, long time. I assume?

She was on American Idol the other week so assume she's pretty successful there too. Good disc that one, anyone heard any of her other stuff?

    • It's ok. I think people know I am a massive Crue fan, and I like a lot of stuff by them that people hate (the Generation Swine album for example) but the only newer original song I have cared about them in recent years was The Dirt. Everything else has been either meh or crap. I did also like their cover of Like a virgin, which I know a lot of peeps didn't like, so it's not like I am just craving the good old days. I would be happy if we could get a song close to Afraid, Saints of Los Angeles or the aforementioned The Dirt. I think songs like that will be few and far between sadly.
    • Have to agree. Although my expectations were that it would be absolutely horrible like Dogs of War lol. Still far away from classic Motley Crue but I at least made it all the way through this one so that's a positive. Still nothing to write home about but at least it rocks fairly well and there's a semblance of a song there.
    • Just ordered!   All three Magic Dance EPs (Another World, Kiss Scene and Haunting Me) combined into one CD. All new artwork, lyric booklet and three bonus tracks. Silver-pressed replication CD.     https://magicdance.bandcamp.com/album/magic-dance-the-eps
