Snatch (2000)

a classic movie of diamond heist and unlicensed boxing match where the story gel to one another and characters get to involved each other. Brad Pitt plays the Irish gypsy boxer and Jason Statham as the casino owner and promotor. The plot is very interesting, a lot of character to deal, probably required couple watch to absorb the whole story. Crime-based story mixed with comedy, a fun movie indeed and i must admit, almost all Brad Pitt's movie is always unique and entertaining.

I watch this movie every time I see its on. I really like it.

"Big Trouble in Little China"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2yM3-YO7qHs

Wacked-out, comic-book, chop-socky fun from John Carpenter. Kurt Russell is a truck driver who gets caught up in a battle against an ancient Chinese wizard beneath the streets of San Francisco's Chinatown. I swear that this movie must've been made up as they went along, it honestly doesn't make a hell of a lot of sense, but boy is it fun to watch.

I loved that flick when it came out but haven't seen it in years.

Jackass 3.5 (2011)

this one is fkin' hillarious, i must admit hahaha i watched this with my wife and just can't stop laughing with all the stunts, the mimic, and everything. Sad to read that Ryan Dunn was killed in a car-crash, if you're looking for a brutal comedy, this is a must watch. :christmas:

Valhalla Rising (2009)

Very interesting. I enjoyed it. It's not shot in the typical Hollywood fashion. Quite slow moving, very quiet, very gory. Beautiful cinematography.

Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011)

Surprisingly excellent! Suposedly considered to be the greatest movie of the summer, and Andy Serkis is expected to be nominated for Best Supporting Actor for his motion capture work as Caesar. Highly recommended.

Bridesmaids (2011)

Hilarious! Nothing more to say. You've probably already heard all the success this one has made. Go see it.

Inside Job (2010)

a really horrid movie about the 2008 financial meltdown, narrated by Matt Damon, a comprehensive overview of how the trouble happened. Sad to see that by the greed of human, and especially the top executive of Wall Street, eventually cost an unbearable pain to the mid-low society, and even sad that by the time the crash is over, they went away with the fortune intact, and even re-instituted by the government and company in a respectable position, leaving the poor even poorer.

Hard lesson from this one is that if we want to invest something, better we do our homework and knows every detail of it. Unless you want to lose some serious money, this is an obligatory.

Great movie and a must-watch especially if you're looking for a detail information on the American housing bubble.

Sadly the impact of the current crash is going to be far worse, and these days there are no George Bush/Tony Blair in power to go invade someone and steal their oil to make everyone rich again...

"Hell Night" (1981)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WK89XlOUWms

Yet another in the endless stream of early '80s "Halloween" wanna-be's, this one stars Linda Blair of "Exorcist" fame (who, it must be noted, was all grown up 'n' quite busty by this time!!) as part of a group of fraternity pledges who have to spend a night in a supposedly-haunted house to gain admission to the frat. When they arrive at the house to begin partying and fornicating, a hulking mutation that dwells beneath the estate starts pickin'em off one by one.

Nothin' fancy and certainly nothing I haven't seen in a zillion other movies but this is still a fun retro-cheese flick.

yes i'm afraid the economy of US is gonna hit very hard for the next year or two, and Europe is in the brink of a major slowdown, especially with government debts in country across Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, etc

people needs to buckle up and be very careful with their investment, in this dark days, it might be best to maintain the household finance very well :drink:

Back in the mid 80's we used to watch this all the time as we were fans of Linda Blair, the film was a bit run of the mill but fun.

well actually in the first season, it's kinda exciting, while the second season still kept up the pace, looks like it's getting thin on the third one.

For example, the first episode's villain isn't actually memorable and looks like a pass-by, but nevertheless i know this is a good show and I plan to keep watching, it's just that if this one compared to Criminal Minds or Prison Break, White Collar just fell off two or three stairs below :)

Ah, but for me it's all about character development. I'll take Mozzie, Neil, and Peter over any three characters from Criminal Minds or Prison Break, or any other show, for that matter.

Linda was sportin' a very impressive rack when she made this flick.

    • Swedish Erotica - Down 2 Bizniz. I could only find the full album on YouTube, but "Too Daze Gone..." is a Killer album and this is the opening track, so it works.
    • I wonder what control they have over the releases? That have promoted the BMG individual releases. The 2009 reissues were by original label, EMI. And this boxset seems weird being issued by Cherry Red. And I have not seen the bands social media promote it at all. I wonder if the reason the BMG ones were lacking in the bonus tracks from the previous reissue was EMI holding onto the rights, but have now allowed Cherry Red to release them. I know EMI used to be the distributer for Cherry Red, so they may be more forthcoming with the material.
    • Yep, cracking indie release of which there are so many but this one is actually really good.
    • I have been a Band Maid fan since their early days (2015) as I really don't mind foreign vocals as long as the music is great, but I always kinda avoided Babymetal as I saw a video of them once and really wasn't impressed with the kiddy vocals, so never gave them another chance. Fast forward to now and on the back of the collab with Electric Callboy I have decided to give them a go. I thought they had a huge discography as they have like 25 albums, but on closer inspection it is only four studio albums and 21 live albums. As I am not a fan of live albums anyway, I decided to buy the four studio albums as they are all quite cheap. Have to say there music is a mixed bag, but overall really enjoying a lot of it. Not sure if I just picked the wrong song to start with, or if it is just that I have adapted more due to getting into a lot of weird and wonderful foreign bands over the last few years, but I am glad I finally gave them a proper go. Have to say, if this song was sung in English I think they would have a lot of fans on here
    • Babymetal - Metal resistance Babymetal - The other one
    • Enjoyed their last cd "Human Nature" remind me of a mellower Black Stone Cherry, similar to Little Caesar.
    • BlackRain - Hot Rock Time Machine Lee Aaron - Bodyrock
    • Now theres a blast from the past  I'm lucky enough to possess
    • Another i'm still awaiting the arrival of...same day release/delivery my arse Amazon  Still this is sounding like their best release thus far...they are gaining and getting better...although I did enjoy the last few albums also...but the sound/production from this one is excellent.
