Another no skip album as far as i'm concerned.

I remember getting this one when it was released. Knew nothing about them.

I have the purple cover so I at least knew that they looked the part and when I saw that Pat Torpey was on drums jt sealed the deal.

There was a great little independent cd store that specialized in our music and they used to let you listen to the albums before purchase.

I looked at the track listing and played "Love is Dangerous". I didn’t even get to the chorus before stopping and purchasing the album immediately. I just knew from that minute or so that this was quality. I was vindicated when I got home and listened to the whole thing.

I thought it was blue....

I just checked the main site and there's the cover that's featured in the clips, a purple one and a blue one.

I didn't know there were three alternate covers. Interesting.

Got the MTM Music version , which had Victor and Dodge on the front.

Where was that little independent store ?

Blue MTM cover for me too...Great disc, from the opening track "You Don't Amaze Me Anymore" it sets the standard for the rest of the disc,so many good tracks as stated with no skips needed, fav tracks being the aforementioned "You Don't Amaze Me Anymore" , "Supernatural Lover" & "Love Is Dangerous".

The disc that followed was quite good also, albeit a tad heavier "Activator" only disappointment was only 5 tracks on it,i'd read years that David Victor had another cd in the works...did anythng ever come from that?

I've never heard this before. Sounds awesome. I love these late 90s/early 00s releases, because they were a giant "Fuck You!" to a world that was trying desperately to silence them.

This was a strong release, that came out just as the radio station I worked at was being shut down, we played 5 of the songs with the most popular being Riot Going On and You Dont Amaze Me Anymore, just a killer consistent strong radio friendly album, David Victor played guitar on Castle Blak Babes In Toyland for those of you who like completely sleazy rock with greatly clever vocals check them out.

That cover in those videos was the original release cover, everything else was alternate.

Bluebird Records in Coburg.

I believe the guy's name was Dave.

That's exactly what "Riot Goin' On" is all about.

I remember years later going to their website to see if they did anything else - at least what I thought their website was based on the CD cover "rockhardmusic.com"

Lets just say I received quite the shock when the page loaded

I use have drinks with Dave, at the cathouse. I have catch up with him he owes a few beers.

Dave only recent open his own store, where he sold vinyl only, only closed it he wasn't getting many customers and rent was stupid.

Steve the owner, after selling Bluebirds, start working with JB

IDK about imports or anything, but the one in the videos was the cover the day it arrived in US stores, and also the cover of the promo our station received, I had it up until the great cd heist of 18 happened to me.

Great CD with 3 different covers.

The US version (Rockhard Music Media, 1997):

The US version (Rockhard Music Media, 1998) & Japan version (Bareknuckle, 1998):

I never saw that purple cover before the internet, it's not the cover of the cd they were selling and signing at their show, it's not the cover of the pre-release promo they sent the to radio stations and distributors, and it's not the cover that was released to Media Play, Circuit City, CD Shops etc through the distributors and one stops, im puzzled.

I'm not familiar with "The Great CD Heist of '18".

If it's not too painful (which I'm sure it is), it sounds interesting.

I didn't have a heist, more of an involuntary purge. It still hurts, but thank Fuck for digital!

Okay, my mind is blown.

I remember Cody mentioning that the track "Janine" is a tribute to "Janine Lindemulder".

I just realized that I think "Julia Ann" is also a tribute to the great, now legendary "MILF", who started her career in 1993 (I just looked that up by the way).

If there are two tracks on this album paying tribute to porn actresses, then this album has just hugely increased it's credibility.
