odd that Mark Free was not the original singer of "The Last Time", despite working with same writers on his album... Agnetha Faltskog recorded it before him and even shot a video.Such a great song, shame it was not a bigger hit for either of them.

Wow, had never realised Agnetha had a career outside of ABBA

yes, and on her solo releases she worked with such writers as Holly Knight, Diane Warren, Russ Ballard... and did duet with Peter Cetera :)

Was listening to Ten's first album (yaaay it arrived yesterday). Am loving it but one of the tracks reminded me of an old favourite:

Heart How do I get you alone? so looked up that to listen to and hit on the cover by Alyssa Reid retitled Alone Again. I think it's a pretty cool reworking of the song

Is this the original, from 1983?

I also thought it was a Heart song too, for a very long time.

Ooh, that has more depth of feeling to the performance. (Told you I was lazy; I really should have checked who originally wrote it)

I like this version, but I think I still favour Heart. It's a great song, either way, though.

Lots of songs were covered to great effect in Baz Luhrmann's Moulin Rouge movie including

Your Song - Elton John

Roxanne - Police

Absolutely!! and yaaaayy I've just solved something that has been bugging me for the last few days... just as with this song, the original feels more 'authentic' to me emotionally but I actually prefer listening to Heart's version, that's what it is with Led Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven. Awesome, A.W.E.S.O.M.E song but I'm ashamed to admit I prefer listening to Far Corporation's version as it has more 'punch' to it :yikes:

The i-ten version is far superior imo but you cant fault the Heart vocals.

The guitars on iten are classic tho.

    • Also last couple of songs have an Axl Rose or Stephen Shareaux vibe to them.
    • He has such a familiar and somewhat comforting voice. For me he was the best of Krokus. The Blitz, Change Of Address and Heart Attack. Not to say I don't like otehr songs, I do, but he make Krokus a nice rounded package with great consistant songs. This song is a bit too AC/DC for me, but as usual hookier and a better tune than most ACDC songs
    • So I've listend to this enough to review it. Overall it's a ptrtty good album. Most of the songs are good or really good. Not many if any great or mind blowing songs. So for me it's an easy album to listen to. Most of the songs will be keepers, amny of them will just scrape through as keepers.
