Hi Friends

Well, you always hear it here first. We have finished the recording of our 10th album! Twelve songs were recorded at the the brand new PanGaia studios in Stockholm where we were the very first artist to record. We loved it! The studio is absolutely top of the range and the staff was incredibly helpful. Of course we packed the place full of vintage microphones and "gear" to create an atmosphere on this record and to warm the sound up. Dave Cobb, our producer, really brought something amazing to this album and made us play from heart and soul. He will now mix it in his studio in the US. This record sounds truly enigmatic! what a great vibe! As always we're on a new journey with every record we make and this time we have really gone for it. We can't wait for you guys to hear it! We did film some stuff during the recording and will put something together for you guys in a little while.

All the best

The V-Veronica Freeman (Benedictum) - Now Or Never (Frontiers Records)

14f3c93dc4eca3e33a6873d151aa848a_large.j

From kickstarter.com:

Well it's that time people. The "V" here from Benedictum and I am hammering away at finishing my first solo CD. The boys from Benedictum have been more than involved and I appreciate the chance to do it.

Honestly it is a bit out of my comfort zone as I am delving into more of a Melodic Hard Rock sort of vibe. Yes, it is on Frontiers but lets get real, I have gone into a lot of debt to make it really happen. A lot of people have come to the forefront including all members of Benedictum, Michael Sweet from Stryper, Jeff Pilson, John Herrera, Mike Lepond, Tony Martin,Leather Leone, Ryan Greene, Kenny Lewis, Peter Tentindo, Meliesa McDonell, Michael Harris and many more. Its going to be cool but I have a ways to go!

Um, they need to get paid LOL. Also I truly wish to create a very cool video which will be shot at the "Sanctuary LAX" a sort of "dungeon" if you will. How cool will that be? And I want my friends there with me. Don't want to have to settle for something I am not over the moon about.

I have credit card debt up to my eyeballs due to this project and that doesn't even include any new shoes! But even more importantly I think I have some cool stuff available for you! The usual things of course, downloads and signed copies of the CD when it is finally done. But also helmets, posters, vinyl and some one of a kind experiences. Hell, I may even add some more cool things as we go.

For those of you who want items as a Christmas presents, if they are purchased/pledged before Dec 24th I will make sure and email over a gift certificate if you wish, stating the item that you have pledged to purchase so that you will have something to put under the tree! :-)

Your donations will allow me to get out of debt, realize a dream and create some music that I feel was done well and not release something before it is truly at its full potential. To have a chance to connect with you on a whole new level as well...oh yeah. I would love that!

With much love and respect

From FB:

Hi everybody! I guess that some of you think that we've vanished from the face of the earth. Sorry for that! I can tell you that we're still here. It's just that sometimes life gets in the way and one has to focus on the things that are the most important at the moment. Now we're back. In a week or two we will send three more songs to be mastered. We are also tracking the final vocals for a song called "Here in my heart". Then we will track new vocals on "Dead for Seven days". All in all we soon will have eight finished songs. Stay tuned!

Tygers Of Pan Tang - Tygers Sessions: The First Wave (Feb 28/Skol Records)

tumblr_ng2232ySvX1rxgn02o1_1280_zpsc96da

The New Wave Of British Heavy Metal pioneers TYGERS OF PAN TANG, will release a special Limited Edition album titled "Tygers Sessions: The First Wave" via Skol Records. The CD will be limited to only 1000 copies, and will include 11 classic songs of the band, re-recorded for the anniversary EP releases "The Spellbound Sessions" and "The Wildcat Sessions", which were originally available through the band's fan-club and website only, and quickly sold out.

Commented TYGERS OF PAN TANG founding member and guitarist, Robb Weir, "I am very proud of the band's history as well as the current lineup. We should never forget the TYGERS history and hope this shows we will always recognise the early days of the band. There are a lot of bands that want to modernise their sound or image and forget what made them great in the beginning… I am not one of them". "We are very pleased with the end result, in particular with the recorded sound achieved, it really does capture the early '80s NWOBHM spirit and feel we were looking for. To achieve that raw, almost 'live' vibe to the sound, we even replicated the microphone positioning that was used on the original recording" he adds.

"I would be lying if I were to say I'm a big fan of re-recording classic tracks, but in the case of TYGERS OF PAN TANG it's different. They've managed to keep the original vibe and magic, while delivering absolutely great sounding alternate versions of their classics. Remember SAXON and their great "Heavy Metal Thunder" album? We are talking about similar quality here. Let's not forget that TYGERS are not only the "goldmine of great riffs", but one of the bands that defined NWOBHM. It's an incredibly huge honour to have them on our roster" says Skol Records CEO Bart Gabriel.

The "Tygers Sessions: The First Wave" CD will be released on February 28, 2015, and will include thick booklet with lyrics, liner notes, and lot of previously unseen pictures.

Track listing:
01. Euthanasia
02. Slave to Freedom
03. Suzie Smiled
04. Don't Touch Me There
05. Wildcatz
06. Gangland
07. Take It
08. Hellbound
09. Mirror
10. Tyger Bay
11. Don't Stop By
