Stefan
Livesay - Frozen Hell From FB: And away we go!! At the beginning of 2014 we announced that we were taking on the band LIVESAY. However the band would be taking their time before announcing their lead singer. Now this is a first for us here. We've never actually signed a band without a singer. It's kind of crazy when you think about it. With that said though, how could we pass up a chance to work with a talent such as Gregg Livesay? A monster guitarist if there ever was one. So a monster guitarist needs a formidable vocalist that can stand toe to toe on stage. We wanted the right fit. Both musically and personality wise. Someone we could enjoy the company of both on and off stage. So without further adieu we give you LIVESAY's vocalist Shawn Pelata!!Shawn Pelata: I am thrilled to be a part of Livesay and the Kivel Recods Family! Gregg is one of the most amazing guitarists I've heard and I'm beyond excited to unleash this music upon the world. YES there will be shows people. Lots of them!!Gregg Livesay: We were looking for a new direction in vocals for our new cd. I felt the music required a powerful mid range combined with the ability to hit all the highs but the taste to not live there. Shawn Peleta absolutely fits the bill of what both band and label wanted. We are thrilled to be working with such a fine vocalist and person as he is. He is going to fit in fine with us!Look for Livesay Frozen Hell in 2015 on Kivel Records. BOOM

Stefan
Seventrain From metallife.com: San Diego, California based blues-metal rockers SEVENTRAIN, which features former members of CAGE, 24-7 SPYZ and TOURNIQUET, have officially started pre-production on their second album. The bands drummer, Joel Maitoza, states that they currently have the music written for six new songs and are hoping to include twelve tracks on the new full length disk. The band is also planning to record a couple of cover tunes which they will release as singles just after the first of the year. The band is shooting for a release date in late spring of 2015. Guitarist Eric Horton says, “This next album of material is going to be much heavier than the first record. I’m excited to see where the writing process takes us since some of the other members in the band have been contributing various ideas. There will still be a bluesy element to the songwriting, but the metal side will be much more dominant than the first album.”
Stefan
Europe From FB: Friends! Here we are 'finally' in in the studio recording our 10th album with Producer Dave Cobb and engineer John Netti, and man, It's sounding incredible!!!Check out our press release below with details regarding new label and album release.Joey / John / John / Mic / Ian// Europe Swedish rock group Europe have signed with UDR Records for the release of their as-yet-untitled forthcoming album in early March 2015. The recording commences this month in StockholmEurope’s front man Joey Tempest “We’re really excited to be working with the people at UDR. A very credible label and I am impressed with their work building a future and a solid foundation for their Artists”UDR President/owner Ulrike Rudolph expressed her delight in capturing the band for the label.“We are always looking to expand the label’s stable of bands with quality, not quantity, and Europe represent the finest in supremely written hard rock music,” said Rudolph. “They are a group who refuse to rest on their past and continue to grow as artists and musicians, so we are absolutely delighted they have come to us.”Production on the new material will be handled by Dave Cobb (Rival Sons).“He is one of few producers out there who is saving rock ‘n’ roll,” said Joey Tempest, “when we first heard Pressure and Time by Rival Sons, we just went ‘who the hell produced this stuff? It’s got tons of heart and soul, it’s cocky, it’s got that swagger, it’s alive and real.’ That’s the journey we’re on with Europe, trying to dig deeper to find more soulful expressions and play straight from the core! So we’re extremely excited to bring this guy into our team.”The multi-platinum, 20-million-plus selling quintet, recorded 1986’s smash-hit The Final Countdown and toured the World playing sold-out concerts while cementing their place as one of the biggest rock bands of the ‘80s.After re-grouping in 2004 with the ‘classic’ line-up, the band continued their success into the 21st century with Classic Rock Magazine stating upon the release of their last album in 2012, ‘Europe are one of the greatest rock bands on the planet right now.’In 2015, Europe will once again take to the road as they begin a UK/Ireland tour in Dublin on March 2nd (their first visit to Ireland in 25 years). More dates to co-incide with the albums cycle will be announced shortly including territories the band has not visited in some time.

Geoff
Wolfpakk From FB: Release of the new Wolfpakk Album "Rise Of The Animal": February 27th 2015!!! WTF are they thinking using that as their promo shot...!?!!?!? Yeah, if there's a large homosexual audience they're trying to appeal to they've completed the assignment flawlessly. But if that's not their aim, it's just a terrible, terrible, terrible photo. As for Europe releasing a new CD, I'd love to just see a press release indicating that they will try to record some good music again. Something along the lines of era 1986-1991. But that's about as likely as someone saying to the guys in Wolfpakk; "Hey guys, great promo shot!"
