This is excellent! Never heard of him before.

From www.verummusic.com:

Satin has finished the long awaited debut album simply titled 'SATIN'. Comprised of 10 melodic feel-good rock songs written and produced by Satin himself. This album has a total listening time of approximately 44 minutes. Being an 80's child, both music and production will naturally reveal some elements from the 80's, blended tastefully with a full modern sound. The album was mastered in New York by Grammy Award Winning senior mastering-engineer Tom Coyne (Adele, U2, Def Leppard, Michael Jackson, George Michael, Pink, Beyoncè, Bee Gees).

The lyrical content on this album touches on subjects like choices, strength, life and love. Great vocal performances and melodic guitar work further enhances the already strong melodies. It starts of with the big and very catchy "Fire The Shot". The emotional impact caused by the beautiful ballade "Don't Know The Words" is immense. Satin tells all in the epic rocker "I've Been Crazy" and shares his point of view in "Life Will Never Slow Down".

Satin has been a part of various projects over the years which has not just given him a great deal of experience and important lessons, but also earned him a Norwegian Grammy in 2013. Satin has delivered an amazing debut album so be sure to give it a well-deserved listen.

Sounds splendid. Where on earth did you find that one? Thanks for the heads up.

must check this out, excellent by the sounds of it :)

The album is good, but has the odd lull and suffers from a thin production (not surprisingly)....decent effort though and some of the hooks are nice.

I checked out a couple of tracks and it's not bad......but, the old man has one question! Is this just one of those download things or is there a CD out there somewhere?

No CD, then going nowhere in my book.

Heard this today and it's pretty nice. Nothing truly amazing, but it's very good in patches, though Glen is right about a couple of lulls too. Lyrics and songwriting is pretty basic, but it's nice for what it is. At times it kind of reminds me of a much lesser version of that Dallas EP project a couple of years ago. Although to me that is literally a "classic" as far as I'm concerned, and this is not even close, there's a slightly similar vibe.

The guy sounds a bit lot like Robert Ernlund. Sounds decent so far.

And speaking of Dallas, what the hell happened there? Is he planning to follow it up?

This release will be available on CD shortly, apparently there's no cd pressing of this available thus far even as promos. I geta slight old Bon Jovi vibe on the vocals through out the album which isn't a bad thing atleast for me :D

May already know about the release date?

This is beyond good, based on those posted songs. Hopefully there's a CD for this one or hopefully AOR Heaven picked him

Great find !

Sounds very good to me! Is this the guy/band who recorded the awesome KISS cover album "A Million To One" and a couple of Bon Jovi covers? The voice sounds familiar to me.

Not bad I guess, a little basic sounding at times, nothing ground breaking that's for sure.

Hey Geoff and Karpet, fill me in on this Dallas EP- I can't recall that one?

    • Overall a bit let down by this album Nothing that really makes me want to turn it up and blast loud, just an ok album full of ok to good songs.
    • Yep, agree. Came up in my YouTube feed today and I like it. Great clip as well. Need to explore this mand more, only been in and out of their stuff a few times. Seems a bit hit and miss, but with a lot of real gems along the way.
    • 'Tis indeed. Will be nice to have it all wrapped up in a sweet, sexy package. Except for the remixes...
    • The EP is the other singles they have released this year plus Heartbeats and a couple of remixes.
    • Jeez this dude seemed to be releasing music once a fortnight not too long ago, but it's been some space between, ay?  This is actually a surprisingly good, big catchy melodic rocker. Didn't expect it - nice stuff.
    • And in the most unsurprising news ever, it's awesome. Love it completely.  And is it mentioned elsewhere that this coincides with the release of a new EP called 'Hope?' https://lebrock.bandcamp.com/album/hope?from=fanpub_nfb
    • Album out March 31. From Lions Pride Music: Stellar Veil is a melodic hard rock band hailing from Athens, Greece. Formed in 2021 by members departing from the Melodic Hard Rock band Hideaway, the group sought to carve a niche that melded the heavier elements of hard rock with the melodic finesse of classic AOR. Their sound is described as heavier than traditional AOR yet more melodic than classic metal (Melodic Hard & Heavy), reflecting a unique blend of influences from the 80s hard rock and heavy metal era with a contemporary twist. Stellar Veil’s music captures the nostalgic essence of 80s hard rock and heavy metal, yet it is infused with a modern approach. Their compositions are characterized by soaring vocals, melodic guitar riffs, and dynamic keyboard arrangements, balanced with a heavier rock attitude. The band aims to offer listeners a blend of the old and new, bridging the gap between the timeless appeal of classic rock and the fresh sounds of contemporary hard rock. With their distinctive blend of melodic and hard-hitting sounds, Stellar Veil is carving out a unique identity in the world of hard rock. Their music is a testament to their passion for rock and their commitment to evolving as artists, making them a band to watch in the coming years. Stellar Veil is: Jon Soti: Vocals  Dimitris Paloudis: Guitars John Kontos: Bass Peter Papadimatos: Keys Harris Freeman: Drums Track list: 1. Safely Chained 2. To Mend A Broken Heart 3. Diamonds To Dust 4. Feel The Pain 5. A Thousand And One Nights 6. Sign Of Times 7. Cross The Line 8. Calling The World 9. Final Stand
