Three of the most popular bands on HH duking it out amongst themselves; which are your faves?

 

*I tried to keep the match-ups as year specific as possible, but I took some liberties in places particularly due to PC69 having a few more releases than the others.

Out of the 9 choices, 7 could have gone either way with only 2 being certain choices IMO

7 - PC 69 - Thunderdome {The 2nd certain choice with the same explanation as above}

Wow, I appear to have gone a slightly different route. Amazed so far at the amount of clean sweeps for Gotthard on the first 3. Anyway, here's mine:

 

Jaded Heart - Inside Out (1994) ; the funny thing here is that I love Gotthard's debut, but it actually came in 3rd for me after this masterpeice and then PC69's brilliant 'One size fits all'.

 

PC69 - Games People Play ; easy choice for me. I really don't care for 'Dial hard' that much whereas this one rips shreds off my face whenever I put it on. 'Shattered' or 'Face in the mirror' alone kill all of 'Dial hard' combined... imo.

 

1995/1996

Jaded Heart - Slaves & Masters ; toughest choice because although I like all these discs, I don't love any of them. 'S&M' is by far Jaded Heart's weakest disc, but it's a lot better than the solid but still sell-out 'Change' and the patchy 'G'.

 

1997/1998

PC69 - Electrified ; I love 'Mystery eyes' but this album is just a killer. Can't beat this one.

 

1999/2000

Jaded Heart - IV ; What? Were there two other choices? Easiest of them all.

 

2001/2002

Gotthard - Homerun ; A really, really hard one. I adore 'The journey will never end' but this is possibly still Gotthard's best disc, imo. Love this one.

 

2003/2004

Jaded Heart - Trust ; easy choice. This album is a monster.

 

2005

Jaded Heart - Helluva Time ; 'Lipservice' is excellent, but the big moments on this are much bigger and overall I just think this is a fantastic disc.

 

2007

Gotthard - Domino Effect ; I'm one of the biggest (and only - lol) fans of 'Sinister Mind' on this board, so the fact that I picked 'Domino Effect' just means I really, really rate this album.

I can see your (but dont necessarily totally agree) arguments right up til this point.....

 

But Helluva Time over Lipservice...............not for me mate.

 

and for me In10sity absolutely kills Dominoe Effect..........hey ho.

 

Three great bands though all said and Done (great Gotthard song).

PC69 won most of them for me. One notable exception was my LOVE of Sinister Mind by Jaded Heart. The other exception being PC69's lackluster effort on Change.
