Fantastic CD on the first spin. If you liked any of their last 3, this falls right in line :banger:

It's a good one, I agree. Not as good as 'All the Right Reasons' and definitely nowhere near as good as Hinder's 'Take it to the limit'... but still a very nice disc.

I love 'Gotta Be Somebody', 'I'd come for you', 'Never Gonna Be Alone' and 'Shakin' Hands' (naughty naughty - love it).

Yes... This is somewhat of a "sexually charged" cd...

Yeah, that's what I'm deadset loving about Hinder and these guys. Very sexually driven songs.

Yeah, good luck picking an album of the year. This one has to be right in the mix...I can't see anybody not loving this one!

I doubt I would love it.

Same here...in fact I won't love it... :hammer:

I have a copy of it and am gonna give it a listen but I don't expect to love it.

Yes but I like Rob Halford because he's one of the greatest singers on this planet not because he's gay. <_<

If you don't like Judas Priest or Halford's solo band but you do like Nickelback then you have serious problems.

Greatest singers on the planet? OMG... let me get back on track before we lose this whole thread because I'm dying to dive into that one.

I can't for a second believe you didn't like All The Right Reasons. Is that what you are saying?

Are you saying he's not one of the greatest singers around?

I mean he's the f#@king Metal God. :banger:

And as far as Nickelback goes I've heard the singles and I heard most of the last album and it's okay but not anything that makes have to rush out and buy right away. And when did you get into all of this modern rock anyway?

...this from the guy who calls the early BulletBoys catalog "essential" and Kiss' UNMASKED a "classic." So take that with a grain of salt y'all.

As for Nickelback, I can take'em or leave'em. I don't turn the channel when they come on TV or the radio, but I have never felt particularly compelled to run to the store and pick up their discography...

Yes you did and that's okay. At least you don't like them because you don't like THEM and not because the singer is Gay.

Nickelback are pretty much the same for me. I can take 'em or leave 'em. Not a band I go out and buy stuff automatically, although I have most of their stuff (bought very cheaply I may add) and there are some tracks on all their discs I can listen to, even on the earlier 'Curb' and 'The State' stuff. I got bored very rapidly with the 'Silver Side Up' album, but thought 'The Long Road' & especially 'All The Right Reasons' were pretty ok in spots, except those damned 'Rockstar' and 'Photograph' tracks that got right on my tits. In fact, most of their singles get boring quite quickly, probably due to overkill on the TV/Radio, and imo, they are definitley a case of a band that has much better album tracks to check out. 'Dark Horse' I will be checking out first though and go from there.

You are incorrect sir...I actually hate JP because I think their music sux major ass...the gay thing is just something to bring up because it gets under your skin and our friend Keith. And yes, put me on the record for saying that I would listen to any Bulletboys cd and Unmasked before I'd ever listen to a JP cd. That's a fact...

    • Eclipse played that same game when Apocalypse Blues came out.  They dropped that song as just a single and made no mention of an album at that point as far as I remember.  All they were doing was selling the 7 inch vinyl.  We know now though that they clearly knew a full album was coming as Erik said they basically were working on both albums at the same time and deciding which tracks would go on each album.  Granted, maybe they didn't know the full timing of album #2 at that point but they certainly knew one was coming. Maybe the same here.  Maybe will trickle out a few songs and then announce an album later this year or early next year when it's closer to release.
    • So, Danny posted how the song is doing on Spotify and someone asked if this means a new album soon. Danny just made vague replies and said "well there will be more stuff coming soon"
    • Funnily enough, I read that this afternoon when I went to add the album to my collection on the main page. I got the European version which has two bonus tracks ... if you don't have them, you really aint missing anything

    • Created and Posted this video recently in order to promote Ryder SRIII a little more.  I love this song, one of my personal favs from the record.   Be careful viewing at work though (NSFW), just for a couple of images in the video.
    • Named my HH self after the song Auslander on the album Stain. Love that track. Really like the whole album. It's like Living Colour's "Slave to the Grind" or "Dog Eat Dog".
    • From Frontiers: TRACKLIST: 1 Awesome God 2 Stand Up 3 Warrior 4 There You Are 5 Speak His Name 6 Why God Brought Me Here 7 Praying 8 It's Up to You 9 Holy Moment 10 Leaning on the Cross 11 Jesus Christ --- When a musical family gets together to record, magic can happen and this is what the VAN ZANT’s are here for! Brothers Johnny and Donnie Van Zant (respectively current lead vocalist of Southern Rock icons Lynyrd Skynyrd and founding member of .38 Special) were able to find room in their busy schedules for the first time in 1998, recording their collaboration album “Brother to Brother”: a tribute to their late brother and Lynyrd Skynyrd original singer and founding member Ronnie. Such release was highly acclaimed between the press and fans worldwide and brought the duo to record a follow up album, simply entitled “II” in 2001. Their collaboration during the years did not stop as they tapped their feet in a more Country-oriented style with the release of “Get Right With the Man” (certified Gold in the USA in 2005) and later on with “My Kind of Country” in 2007. Now the brothers once again reinvent themselves, offering a Christian-themed album encompassing their Rock and Blues musical roots (and with a touch of Country for good measure). The result “Always Look Up” is made up of songs that will touch the listener’s heart and soul, with an emotional depth that is truly second to none in today’s musical landscape. Experience the soul touching that only the music from the Van Zant family, can provide. You will see why they are icons of the American South, and musical heroes to millions around the globe!
