This would be a cool set, was it pricey?

It was a bit - but having said that I'm not buying much new stuff as there's nothing much that really interests me these days with regards new bands or even some older ones, for example I'm kind of over Queensryche apart from the stuff I already have so won't be bothering with their newie - I didn't bother with their last either. I'm not rushing out buying new bands no matter how great the reviews are.  So I find the cash is kind of building up from "my spends" and so I'm just getting things I would REALLY like and I love Starz and I really fancied that set - if you had asked me a few years back I would have laughed my head off at paying what I did but my whole mindset seems to have changed. At some point I'll probably unload my Rykodisc versions of the Starz stuff which may go towards paying for it - or it will top up the fund :D

Humbucker - King of the World

I've never heard of these guys, but coincidentally, a YouTube channel I'm subscribed to has just posted this album and "R.O.C.K.S." over the last couple of days.

It's great stuff.

I saw it on Amazon for $8 as i did my regular "hard rock cd" search sorted for lowest price. Occasionallythere are good bargains to be found. At $8, that's take a punt it will be cool like the album cover suggests and I looked around for info on it. The HH main site didn't have it listed so I had to google a few reviews and they were positive and it sounded like my cuppa tea. So I got it.

I made a similar discovery on the Bumblefoot "Little Brother is Watching" album. It was only $6 on Amazon. I must say it is now one of my favourites of the year. It sounds like Muse meets Guns N Roses with a singer who sounds like Myles Kennedy. The guitarist is awesome too. I jest of course as it is all the same person, an ex-GNR among others guitarist. But, now I feel lucky to have found an album I just love for the price of a coffee. It is also not on HH unfortunately.
