  2. Yep shit name and that track isn't much better. The song is pretty frickin good. Heaps of melodic rock with two spoonfuls of modern metal, piled high with harmonies and a guitar solo too. Like an Avenged Sevenfold lite. https://www.facebook.com/ithefire https://www.ithefire.com/
  3. This one was a surprise and nicely done. About 2/3rds of the way through Eli Roth's The Green Inferno - Liking it so far. Also introduced the sprites to The Monster Squad. I love this one and have since 87, the kids enjoyed it as well and my daughter said "this is like the Burbs meets the Goonies".
  4. Inside Llewyn Davis interesting Coen brothers tale of the winter of 60-61 and the resurgence of folk artists and one mans struggles just before the Bob Dylan changed the scene. Engaging tale and finely acted even if folk tunes aren't your bag it is certainly a good story with a lot of history blended into the fiction. The Great Wall fine action movie with NO relevance to the great wall, movie could have been called anything and was total fiction. Tons of cgi and way over the top action but the 90 minutes will skip right on by.
  5. And lastly they should have let the keyboard player be in the video. I mean the audience isn't daft and should know that those four aren't playing anything that makes those drop beats and such. Just saying.
  6. It is a nice cover. I mentioned it in the cover tunes thread but since BF have a new release pending they are worthy of another thread.
  7. Not to shocking noone paid this thread any mind, it isn't a (enter band no one cares about or knows too much about already) thread... The songs are good, vocally and musically and certainly as mentioned this album could easily sneak right up on you and become a summer fave. https://www.facebook.com/freighttrainrock
  8. I think I would have preferred the song without the Stevie on vocals. The tune and the riff as mentioned is huge but Stevie's vocals seem strained and a bit week especially compared to the chorus. The cheesy lyrics are fine hell its butt rock after all. The band should 1 change the name and 2 go with a local screamer as Brazil has two gaggles of quality musicians.
  9. If you listen without watching you'd think it to be a group of 15 year olds playing their grandparents favorite tunes. Song i s fine that said and that album cover looks so familiar, I thought it was the Skiploader release but it is a bit different. Maybe the Skiploader combined with the Slammin Gladys. Wasn't there a Kivel release that had a car like that on it?
  10. Yes this is nice reminds me of a grip of bands of the ilk, but nifty tunes indeed.
  11. Song is good. Has all the elements of an 80's tune. Could have left out the break at 320, no point to it. As for the name there have been 2 bucketfuls of Strychnine's over the years so why not blatantly miss spell it and have a go.
  12. Nice new song, but I enjoyed the last record and Meryl Hamilton is a fine player and VERY easy on the peepers.
  13. Not painful. Sounds fine. Please be advised SKIP the first minute as it adds nothing and is a very REAL waste and almost lost me.
  14. The song is fine, the 3:05 mark is a lame cop out and they should have just put in a guitar solo. Otherwise the modern elements work and is reminiscent of Portland's Slowrush from 15 years ago. Agreed the Na Na's are a bit sharp on teh ears and could have been improved. As mentioned Janet is always FAP worthy but the drummer too is worth a second glance...
  15. Mostly enjoy the classics and Alabama ranks WAAAY high, but speaking of Brantley Gilbert this tune is cool as cool. And of course Brantley wrote this one and Aldean made it into a hit. Dwight Yoakam is a favorite for sure! And Hank Jr with Van Halen (among many other cameos)! The CDB: And the Every Mothers Nightmare version: The list can go on forever...
  16. Guardians 2 - excellent. Quite enjoyed it and looking forward to he next installment. Snowden - also excellent. Introduced the kids to Meatballs. They did not think it as awesome as I did when I was there age.
  17. Agreed. This one is very funny and as mentioned keeps getting funnier every time I see it. Saw the Diary of a Wimpy Kid reboot and it was entertaining, harmless and super simple, but still worth the watch.
  18. One of my all time favorite comedies. On topic: The Circle. Might have been enjoyable if I was thirteen. Dom Hemingway. Jude Law as a petty con. The opening scene, Jude's diatribe to his schmeckel, is worth the watch but nothing worthy for a repeat viewing.
  19. https://www.facebook.com/EternalThirstHM/ Looks as if this is the bands third release and after spinning a half dozen tracks off this 2017 release they certainly do a fine job of in-canting early Metal Church. Good show boys!
  20. And the Top Shelf Content album certainly lives up to its namesake ion cover art alone.
  21. Nice Stefan! Agreed some nice stuff here.
  22. Labarynth OMG I'd completely forgotten how horrific this movie is/was.
  23. Out here on the best coast there is still a small amount of touring BANDS and another small chunk for the retro acts/casino acts but as mentioned not multiple shows every night of the week like the good old days.
