  9. So I can't believe or maybe I didn't search strong enough to find them but anyways here is a new band from Belgium that has put out a pretty darn solid debut of sleazy hard rock that should appeal to many. I put together some thoughts on the record and here they are: Rebel's End Seeing Red Seeing Dead Released on October 11th 2016 (Independently) Review: As I sit and gather my thoughts re-listening (for what seems a selfishly large number of times) to this debut long play from Belgium's Rebel's End I can't help but be impressed by what these lads have compiled for us to enjoy and I hope with this simple review that some others can become acquainted with and enjoy the bands efforts as well. Seeing Red Seeing Dead is best described as a sleaze rock record. I know the band proclaims to metal and punk rock influences as well but there are way more sleazy, dirty, greasy things happening here than punk or metal. Rebel's End would fit in out west on the Sunset Strip circa 1983-1993 and the various influences are quite prevalent and easily distinguishable. Quite obviously a heaping helping of west coast sleaze, with an equal part hard rock and a smattering of each punk and metal which was quite prevalent for a successful album of this ilk during that heyday, just ask Sebastian Bach. Seeing Red Seeing Dead is a well produced album (especially for a self released one), the songs are strongly written with immediately remembered rhythms and catchy chorus' that cover a variety of topics, but all of which, yep you guessed it, reside on the darker side of town. The disc opens with a brief instrumental interlude, Exordium, that segues into the almost Suicidal beginning of Live With Hate which is a double bass driven sleaze metal rocker with massive gang vocals. Blood On My Hands continues with a Taime Down meets Al Jourgensen like wails (singer Jeff James masters this vocal style throughout this disc, but certainly jumps into some nice clean tones too) layered over top of more double bass work and another wall of huge riffage. We Don't Need A Reason is another sleazey rock tune, this one with a bit more glam tinge to it that reminds one of Faster Pussycats Bathroom Wall if it was covered by the Gutter Punks. Don't Ask Don't Tell solidifies the sleazy hard rock road we are speeding down with some tasty timing changes and showcases Jeff's vocal prowess with equal parts screaming rasp and clean chorus. Black Cocaine still sleazy and has its uptempo moments however this tune dials the pounding rhythms back a bit for the heavier topic that is obvious from the title. Psycho Virginteen is a favorite as it is super sleazy and reminiscent of Subhuman Being era Skid Row. Better Than You has a sleazed up pre verse rhythm that is VERY reminiscent of Metallica's Enter Sandman that just as soon as you get it, the band veers off into their comfort zone of sleazy glam metal. Flick Of The Switch is a nice galloping uptempo number with a too catchy pre chorus that drops off into a massive drum riff and another patented vocal wail. If You Ain't Shooting starts off fooling you with a Junkyard riff that morphs into another double bass covered sleaze rocker with a huge nod to Suicide Solution in the verse. The disc ends with the ballad Cramp My Style. Now it isn't your cigarette lighter balladeering to your lost or newfound love, oh no, this slow tempo'd tune has a different message one, I'd detail here however the song title sums it up nicely and quite simply. The tune is a great closer to an album that has been a relentless sleaze metal carnival, fueled by Jack Daniels, razor blades, Doc Martens and enough high octane to fuel a Sundays worth of drag races. Jeff and company play this brand of hard sleaze metal quite well. Gobs of solo's throughout the disc that run the grommet of lightning fast to tastefully trashy and simple. DOL666 is a beast behind the drum kit and Sven and Marten compliment with additional guitar and thunderous bass work. Rebel's End certainly are not doing anything that hasn't been done by the likes of Shotgun Messiah, Manitoba's Wild Kingdom, Zodiac Mindwarp, Lizzy Borden, LA Guns, Cat In Boots, The Sea Hags, Faster Pussycat, The Muderdolls and a gaggle more strip and beyond, lessor and greater bands but what the band has paid homage too within this debut shows real well and certainly has this listener anticipating what comes next. 12. I did some poking yesterday after first hearing these amazing new tunes and listened to this album, which I think is what your referring to. Good tunes, different singer for sure and certainly not as ballsy as the new stuff but good nonetheless. This ones cool as well!
  13. I am certain many have read this story, it was buried in an Adrenalin Mob thread so some may have missed it. I have been binge watching ZRock episodes and listening to Z02 so went looking and didn't see a proper thread to David. David passed away as a result of a tragic and horrific auto accident on July 15th 2017. He was 38. Rest in piece David as everyone knows you were a hellofa musician and your talent will be missed. Here is the story of the incident: The Florida Highway Patrol has identified the people involved in yesterday's crash that resulted in the death of ADRENALINE MOB bassist David Zablidowsky. The accident occurred near Micanopy early Friday afternoon when a tractor-trailer veered off Interstate 75 and struck the band's RV, which had pulled off the highway with a flat tire. ADRENALINE MOB was traveling in the RV and a van that was pulling a covered trailer. According to Gainesville.com, a total of nine people were in the vehicles. One died, six were taken to area hospitals, and the other two declined medical treatment. The majority of those injured were listed in serious condition and one was in critical condition as of late Friday night. Those injured were taken to UF Health Shands Hospital and North Florida Regional Medical Center. The people in the crash and their injuries, as per the Florida Highway Patrol: * Robert Edwin Haines, 59, of Largo, driver of the 2014 semi, who was not injured; * Jason McCole, 41, of Wilksbarre, Pennsylvania, driver of the RV, who was seriously injured; * Zablidowsky, 38, who was a passenger in the RV. [Note: The Florida Highway Patrol had not released David's identity to the media as of Friday evening, but Zablidowsky's brother Paulie confirmed his passing in a Facebook post.] * A second passenger in the RV, ADRENALINE MOB singer Russell Allen, 45, of New Jersey, who was seriously injured; * A third passenger, ADRENALINE MOB tour manager Janet Rains (a.k.a. acclaimed singer Jane Train; apparently misidentified by Gainesville.com as Janet Revis), 48, of Pitts Pond, Pennsylvania, who was critically injured, * A fourth passenger, Dale Campiglia, 51, of Levittown, New York, who was seriously injured; * A fifth passenger, Robert Dressler, 45, of Plaines, Pennsylvania, who was seriously injured; * The driver of a 2003 GMC Sierra, ADRENALINE MOB drummer Jordan Cannata, 27, of West Babylon, New York, who was seriously injured; and * The lone passenger in the GMC, ADRENALINE MOB's 46-year-old guitarist Mike Orlando of Staten Island, New York, who was seriously injured. The status of the injured is currently unknown, but Orlando's girlfriend Dana Griffo clarified on Facebook late Friday night that Orlando, Allen, Cannata and Dressler were "banged up but ok." She also said that she was "praying for" Campiglia, Rains and McCloe. According to the police, the GMC was traveling southbound on I-75 near Mile Marker 372 with the RV, and both vehicles stopped on the shoulder. The semi collided with the vehicles that were stopped on the shoulder and the RV caught fire where the passenger died. The RV and the GMC were traveling together. The RV had a flat tire, so both vehicles pulled off the highway. The trailer that was being towed by the van was hauling musical equipment. ADRENALINE MOB was scheduled to play Friday night in St. Petersburg. The band was touring in support of its third studio album, "We The People", which was released on June 2 via Century Media. The follow-up to 2014's "Men Of Honor" was the first ADRENALINE MOB release to feature Zablidowsky and Cannata.
  14. Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck. That is really really excellent! https://www.facebook.com/UKWraith/
  15. Very impressive sounding debut from these Spaniards. Here's the EP in its entirety for your metal enjoyment. https://www.facebook.com/Wickedincofficial/
  16. Nice. https://www.facebook.com/Aeraco1 Looks like these kids from Chicago have been about for a minute or two, This cut from 2015 is nice too!
  17. Soto still sounds good even though the vocal bits were few and far between. Not a big fan of the down tuned Primus meets Kansas music however.
  18. That is a solid follow up to a debut that I rather enjoyed!
  19. Money Monster-quite forgettable unfortunately. Get Out-this was pretty good and had some classic creep out moments. NOT a horror movie and not much to make the film worthy of its R rating as far as violence and squeamish moments but again the plot was pretty well developed and a sound story. Rock Dog-nice and fluffy tale of a dog getting out from under his destiny to become a "Rock Dog/Star". Worthy of a watch and the animation was better than many of the lower budget animated films.
  20. Yes indeed, an impressive lineage thus far and this new tune is right in line with the aforementioned M3, Walker and Rick Springfield fueled goodness that is Waltham!
  21. As with everything thus far from Station this too is golden. These boys have the Midas touch without a doubt!
  22. He he. Listened before reading the comments and even though this isn't my favorite TOD tune I will hope that this is not the tone for the entire new album.
  23. For my B-Day the kids took me to see Captain Underpants and I must say it was quite excellent. Very cleverly written with some nice animation. Hart and Middleditch spar nicely and would do well together in future adult endeavors or hell even another Captain Underpants. Highly recommended.
