  1. Yeah that's me. I just used my Facebook avatar for a change. Hit me up on tinder and we'll see where it goes... I'll give it a go at some point, with an open mind. Just doesn't seem like it's what I like all that much. When that happens I may come out and say it, just expressing my opinion, but I won't come back and repeatedly have a go about it. If I decide it's ok, I'll happily flip.
  2. Easily solved by throwing a few different sounding songs in the mix to break it up a bit. Probably could also be fixed up a lot just with different production. One of my favorite recent albums is Foo Fighters - Sonic Highways They recorded each song in a different place in a different city. Sometimes a church, sometimes a studio etc Each song has a different feel and sound to it.
  3. Yeah I thought of a song I won't really admit to, especially to my daughter who loves him (and because I regularly ridicule him) But I like that Ed Sheeran song where he sings to song girl
  4. Yeah, I had the girl with the guitar between her legs. I decided to go for an even sexier avatar.
  5. Yep, that's where I ended up with it. All songs are too similar and don't vary enough
  6. I remember Duran Duran had 2 songs very close. The Union Of The Snake and The Reflex
  7. Like it or hate it? There is no in-between I like it. One of the mashups that works really well
  8. Missing Hardcore Superstar is now offset by this.....
  9. Don't know the band, but I love how they pump up the new release. Nice to see a band really believe in what they are about to put out.
  10. Yep, me too probably. But who knows if there are a bunch of people out there who love this stuff? Maybe the Sweedes do? They're gonna pretty much think locally as they progress. But it happens. Bands change and I lose interest. Bon Jovi, Van Halen Bands stay the same and I lose interest. WASP, Iron Maiden
  11. Because... time Bands evolve. Sometimes in directions that suck. I'm with you. Which is why I see this new stuff as comparatively great. I kinda expected them to continue with the direction they chose for the last album, so I'm happy that so far it's reasonably good. Will have to wait until the full album is out to judge.
  12. My 16 year old daughter wanted to watch Rambo II after seeing First Blood a few weeks ago. I hadn't seen it since it came out. Didn't hold up too bad.
  13. A lot of people here have unrealistic expectations. We've all been through it when bands change it up and move in another direction. Remember when Slang copped a whole lot of crap? Everyone loves Race by Pseudo Echo, but the core 'pop' fans of that band would have been pissed. Probably consider it a career killer. I'd love C'mon Take On Me II, but I know it isn't going to happen. So I'm prepared to move on with open ears. and my open ears are much preferring what I'm hearing now compared to the last album, so I'l listen to it and judge it on its own merits. Not my ideal HCSS album, but so far it sounds ok.
  14. Some funny stuff out there...
  15. Reminds me a lot of Slade's Run Run Away, which is a great song.
  16. Yeah I was going to say Dynazty, but didn't want to complicate too much by dissecting to earlier Dynazty. Same with The Poodles and other bands I guess.
  17. Meh, I like what I like. I always lean towards more traditional hard rock than synth-riddled music. I get that that type of music is a big player here, and I usually stay away from those threads. No need to come in and comment every time I don't like it. Just having a bit of fun here that's all. Not sure what you mean about returning? I've been fairly consistent for the last few years. Not sure if you're mistaking me for someone who is in a band, or just attempting to be sarcastic. Assuming that latter, I don't see how releasing music or not diminished an opinion....
  18. From the specific bands you've mentioned, I'll go with Wig Wam Jamie Allen Kaato The Burning Crows Johnny Lima
  19. That was figuratively pretty average for me. I'm literally not in to that style of music. Hypothetically speaking there was too much syrupy synth for me...
  20. Well this sucks. I'll be out of the country. Never seen them, would love to. 22. Because I'm about to leave for the concert
  23. Yeah, but it's better that I find out for myself... The phone number thing is pretty stupid. Had I know that I may not have even listened to the album on general principle of stupidity
