  1. haha, OK, here is a link for those interested WARNING - CONTAINS HARDCORE PORN https://videa.hu/videok/zene/rammstein-pussy-uncensored-rock-xDbmXIuJEFp1k3a5
  2. Then there's Rammstein - Pussy. Not gonna post that clip, but I think the song was #1 in Germany or somewhere which is pretty amazing. They say body doubles in the clip were used for 'most' of the band.
  3. Oops, missed that. How about KFD - WASP? the whole album, or maybe this one...

  5. You I'm sure you're right. For me there would be a bit of his screaming style of faster and heavier songs being something that I am no longer into hearing. Missing a lot of hooks and melody for me.
  6. Here's a list of hair band ballads. Gotthard the kings of ballads
  7. I bought the album based on the strength of past material, and I thought the first single - Wall Street - was a decent track, but not amazing. Remember skipping through it and not being impressed at all, so I put it aside to further explore later. never did, until now. And I'm loving it. Wrong Can Feel So Right OMG Natural High Bleeding Daylight Wall Street Tides Will Turn I'm now wondering why I disliked it so much on the first spin. Pretty decent end to their time.
  8. Maiden & Priest were just a couple of obvious references. Nothing to do with nationality The point is, when Maiden & Priest & Metallica & Anthrax & Megadeth & etc came out they were all classed as heavy metal. They no longer are. Before them Zepplin, & Deep Purple & Black Sabbath were all heavy metal when they came out. They aren't any more. If you wanna talk England, then I guess what was NWOBHM is now NWOBHR
  9. Yeah, Maiden and Judas Priest etc used to be heavy metal, now their hard rock (and they play Bon Jovi and Def Leppard on golden oldies radio stations) These days heavy metal qualifies as more thrash, hardcore, speed, death, screamo, etc for me
  10. So I decided to get to Give 'Em Hell. This is a classic case of perception vs reality. My perception is early Skid Row and the reality is that it's pretty shit. Skid Row ST was awesome, Slave was great, and I managed to only get in to a few songs of Subhuman Race. I've dabbled in Bach's solo stuff at times and what I find is that he does killer ballads, but everything else just isn't my cup of tea. On Give 'Em Hell he is very Vince Neil sounding at times. That's not good or bad, just as it is, which is a bit weird.
  11. Yeah, just edited my post, I meant to type 2 not 3. What I'm hoping to find here is another Discconnected. A killer album that i have missed. Another one might be Haywire - Get Off. Never been able to really dig the other albums. Also Michael Sweet - S/T
  12. Just looked it up and apparently the release was put off here until March 2nd, so I didn't miss it
  13. Jeez, they made John Wick pretty fast then I guess.... Point is, they are very much the same type of movie. Waiting for the new Death Wish to come out, because I missed it at the cinema I think. loved the Bronson one and the new one looks great.
  14. What bands had only one stand out album? ie: they had at least 2 albums, but the others were shit and there was one diamond. For me it's Loud & Clear - Discconnected. I've tried really hard to listen to other material but it just doesn't come close. What other bands had only one killer CD?
  15. Just found that this AWESOME Electrik CD was re released as Love Buzz Harmony The Retroarchives Originally ending with a hidden track that CD cuts off 1/4 the way through the song (although it fades out so was obviously planned), it always kind of seemed like they ran out of material> However the songs on the disc are amazing. Best way to describe this is proper glam. A glammer sound that say, Bai Bang. Newer release has a few new songs that round of the album nicely. Bio: Picture an enormous, black, stone cauldron of swirling Tab, bubbling over as four pop rockers, pour in bag after bag of pop rocks. It's the back room of your local Goodwill thrift store, and there's a non-stop party-mix of KISS, Cheap Trick, The Cult, and Elton John being piped in through the dilapidated overhead speakers. In the park out front, there's a family picnic in full swing, where the Munsters are engaged in a potato sack race with the Brady's and the Partridges, while Speed and Trixie are in deep Trivial Pursuit with Jasmine and Ariel. Forming Bubble Gum Kid Records in the late 80's, (too silly to be taken seriously, and too serious to be taken hilariously), Benjamin, Eddie, Jett, and Michael were to join forces for the first time. Their mission was to take the pop culture world by storm. Bright, shocking, powerful, sizzling and stimulating, the first project would follow in the footsteps of such luminaries as Led Zeppelin, Def Leppard, and The Beatles, by purposefully choosing to misspell their name "electrik." It was music to smile by. Happy songs, with a high-energy bop beat. Contrast this with moody, introspective, and dark compositions that explored those nether regions of the tortured soul, and you've got the yin/yang dynamo that was electrik. Often misunderstood, equal parts touring circus, big-tent revival, and haunted mansion, the live concert would become infamous for leaving stages wet and sticky with confetti, silly string and other unidentifiable substances. There were balloons, explosions, and many shocked and delighted faces. There were angry clergy, threatening mail, and on occasion, threatening females tearing up angst-ridden fan mail. In any case, lives were forever changed. Pop culture enthusiasts at heart, the band was known and expected to take and twist a variety of popular tunes, especially for their live show. Fans were wowed by electrik interpretations of ABBA, ELO, Shaun Cassidy, Bauhaus, and even the Fat Albert theme song. If you listen closely, you can hear a lifted bit of Lou Reed in "Krush My Groove", which is just a small example of their self-mocking, tongue-in-cheek sense of fun, and perhaps even a small cry for help. And again, lives were forever changed.
  16. Watched a couple of my favorite movies the last two nights with a couple of my kids Wolf Of Wall Street The Equalizer I'm thinking that the writers of John Wick watched the Equalizer and thought "you know if we removed dome of the story and character development and increased the violence, we'd have a killer movie"
  17. I don't mind them. Second one is pretty catchy with a hooky chorus.
  18. Really looking forward to this. Ron's been alluding to it for a while on Facebook. Seems like yesterday American Dream came out, which is a great disc.
  19. I call pub rock a band you'd see at a sleazy bar, biker show, etc. Bands who sing songs about beer, pussy and cars etc with few if any ballads.
  20. I tend to split is all a lot less Hard Rock covers 80% of it Pub Rock - heavier Jackyl, ACDC type stuff Glam Rock - Early Poison, Electrik, Bai Bang, etc AOR - songs heavy with synth and poppy keyboards Progressive - Dream Theatre, Watchtower etc Then you've got your 'metal' genres - death, speed etc etc which I really don't listen to.
  21. I have the same problem trying to decide what the word actually is. Is grease the word Or is the bird the word?
  22. Yeah, having listened to it quite a few times now, it's a really great album. One where there are very few average songs, with half the album being good songs and the rest great. Nothing Left To Lose When The Lights Go Out In London The Long Goodbye Be Somebody I Am Electric Fire Fire are all really great songs
