  1. I FINALLY got my copy last week and been spinnin' it a lot. I admit, I don't feel it is as good as the EP. BUT, the more you spin this the better it gets. They have those choruses that repeat but I would not have noticed if not mentioned here. And they do not bother me at all because what De La Cruz does, they do it very well. I imagine their live show must kick some major ass. I can see a crowd just fist pumping and singing along. There is some great guitar work, even the ballads are well done. My fav tune is Invincible. Overall, very good stuff!
  2. Any opinion on how the sizes run? At 6' 170lbs and long monkey arms I am curious what would fit me. I always have tshirt trouble where it is mostly Large, but sometimes an XL and on rare occasions, a M.
  3. Go to his personal page. He is on daily. https://www.facebook...llenchristopher Sent a PM, but no reply. Just a heads up, are you friends with him on Facebook? If not the pm goes into the "other" folder that he probably won't ever see. Most people don't even know the "other" folder even exists. Not friends, no. I'm a bit wary of sending friend requests to people I don't know! I have been asking the Faceplace admins to create an "Enemy" request. I would find their site much more useful if they had that.
  4. Grey, is your copy a Music For Nations? They reissued a few of the DL releases and put lyrics in them....along with some extra tracks I think.
  5. Summer is softball. Winter is football (US variety) along with stationary bike and weights to maintain cardio and some tone. Other than that....a lot of yard work is a good work out.
  6. That's very cool. I might need to pick one up.
  7. Have to see if they indicate if it is gonna be a CDR.
  8. Supposedly Music For Nations re-issued one of the DL cd's and included lyrics. But I am not sure if My Shallow Grave is on it. I tried listening to that section of the song last night and couldn't figure it out either.
  9. Been waiting patiently for this one to drop. Just over a week. Nothing Compares To You is a killer tune. High On You is awesome too. Have not heard much beyond that though.
  10. ha, not as hard to find as I thought. Unfortunately my Rockworld copy does not have lyrics, and what is dumb it is like a 4-5 page fold out but it is blank on one side. The other side has their thank you's or whatever. Never noticed that.
  11. I do have the cd, need to go dig it up....
  12. haha, that guys store is awesome! I like the RATT Detonator shirt, Dangerous Toys Teasn Pleasn tour....good stuff!
  13. That first one is killing me. I know it. Can't place it. At first I thought it was Tool. Then I checked Korn. Thought maybe Limp Bizkit. Thought I had it for sure with Rage Against The Machine. Darn you Grey!!!

    Books

Heaven & Hell: The Journey of Chris and Serena Davis Husband/wife die young, one goes to heaven, the other to hell. Interesting to hear the author's version of both heaven and hell. Though the story is fiction he does go a little too far with the guilt trips on why most of us will go to hell. I still like it though. The tortures he describes in hell are, well, nasty. Free PDF download if you are interested. http://thetearsofheaven.com/mainbookpage.html
  15. Nice one, well spotted. I have no idea on any of these! Keen to know what number two is though, really like the sound of it... Thanks JE...I admit here (though I've admitted in other threads) that Duran Duran was my first "favorite" band so I would have been a bit disappointed in myself had that not come to me. Yeah, other ones, I am not figuring them out. Good thread Grey.
  16. Is #6 Duran Duran, Hungry Like The Wolf?
  17. He'd have a huge contract to pay for all those text overage fee's.
  18. And it was - 2 hours of pure entertainment ! The guy is amazing live. Next up HEAT on Thursday at the Borderline in London!! Omg just got out of the HEAT gig - how awesome is Erik Gronwall?? Utterly superb gig!! 'Its All About Tonight' is my new fav song - how on earth can they make this song sound so awesome live - rock n fuckin roll I'm jealous...love that tune, CD. Well, I can follow that up with Bang Tango will be here in May.
  19. He'd be "handing" out Isotoner's..."left and right".
  20. A long time ago I saw L.A. Guns and they were awful. Purely disinterested. They were on stage late afternoon in an outdoor venue, so it was light out, it had rained a bit that day, not a huge crowd but still....I think Jackyl was on before them and they rocked it, and then I believe it was RATT, then Dokken. Not sure the exact order but anyway, all the other bands that weekend were there to rock but L.A. Guns just didn't care. They played about 20 minutes, if you could call that playing, and then sorta just wandered off stage. Now fast forward, last winter (I think) and the Phil Lewis version was here in MN and they kicked major ass. Pure energy, lots of fun. A little disinterested in the picture taking / autograph part after the show but they hung in there.
  21. haha, yeah I agree with what CH and MM already said. The music is good, the lyrics and particularly the singer...not so much. If it was huge vocals I could probably let the lyrics slide because aren't we all here because at one point we enjoyed a little cheese with our tunes? So if they find a vocalist and I'd check it out.
  22. Excellent list Lindsay, excellent post. Good to see Cyanide 4 and Casablanca on the list. I really liked both of those. I probably would have moved the Peepshow out of your top 20 and replaced with with Miss Crazy or Hollywood Burnouts. It's good but I totally agree that their original style is much better. Some other releases from 2012 that would fit your list somewhere if expanded beyond 20: The Last Vegas, Dirty Passion, Nasty Idols, Jettblack
  23. Sorry about the lay-off, that would be beyond stressful. I hope you find work soon. We don't wanna hear you selling off your cd collection or anything. Not sure what issue you had at home but one thing to try next time is use a different web browser. I use Google Chrome instead of Internet Explorer. Some people like Firefox.
  24. Lol....and how are melodyandzoe anyway?
  25. There was indeed an HH chat room at one time, but it rarely got used so it got ditched. Can't help with the question of whether or not you're high on crack, though. I can.
