  1. What was I thinking? Need to track it down again, great album, but not as immediate as its predecessor (which is why I sold it on). Really love this band, hope they play London soon. Yes, what were you thinking...you should have sold it to ME!!! You could have bid on it ... it went for a lot less than I thought it would, given that it was the 2CD version. Ah, Ebay....I figured you guys did a trade or sold on here and I missed it in the list.
  2. Now that I've seen Crashdiet, these guys would rank right up at the top as the next band I wanna see.

  4. Maybe THIS CD will actually get some distribution at some level. You can't even buy Lethal Dose Of... of their website. > April the 8th We've just signed with Sony Music / Columbia. Our new album will be released the 10th of June in France and soon in the rest of the world.
  5. From a positive side, at least it is a good split instead of name calling and pointing fingers. That means you might see him on tour with the band for a show or two? Who knows...better than fighting.
  6. So is it just me or does this band put out some pretty good tunes but they seem to have a hard time putting out a full length album? Maybe I am just blind in my searches. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EkgAl2eNaG8
  7. I took a Geoff with a G "sneaky" listen back when it came out and thought it was good enough to add to the buy list. It arrived last week and instead of ripping it to MP3's for the car, I have been playing the CD in the car which has a decent system. Looks like I am the odd man out here but this is a kick ass release. Some of the tracks sorta sneak up on you if you spin it enough...they didn't catch my ear the first few times through but now I find myself hummin' along to them. Add in the standout tracks Special and Big Machine (love the rif) and yeah, loving this one. I don't assign percentages or numbers like some of you guys but if I did I'd put this one 85-89%.
  8. Argggg.....dang ImportCDs.com, get my backordered CD and ship it already! I shouldn't complain, they have decent prices and did answer my email pretty quickly to explain why it has not shipped.
  9. This is a difficult one. I had to remove a few to get to 15. Great band... 01 Generation Wild 02 So Alive 03 Save Her 04 Chemical 05 In The Raw 06 Riot In Everyone 07 Queen Obscene/69 Shots 08 Breakin The Chainz 09 It's A Miracle 10 Straight Outta Hell 11 Anarchy 12 California 13 Drinkin' Without You 14 Overnight 15 Tikket
  10. So dumb question maybe...how do you tell it is a bootleg? Based on the fact he is selling many copies or that you guys own the original and you can see the difference in the picture? I don't own this one and not bidding on this one but just curious how you can spot that stuff, especially from a distance?
  11. Yes, yes and yes and same question as Geoff with a G, is that a single or full album?
  12. Dude...what? What??? You dare blaspheme Dirty Looks? You're sleeping by the piss bucket in June! Haha, I love Dirty Looks, one of my favorites. But yes I threw that little dagger out there for you knowing how much you like them AND they do tend to have a lot of songs with a repeated phrase 3 times for the chorus. Sorry Evil, I had to do it....ya don't call me Parasite Jeff for nothing.
  13. I chose No Fuel. Riskin' It All is a close second. After that, well I have Simpatico, thought it sorta sucked so I have not played it in a LONG time. Skipped everything until Monster, picked that up, thought it sorta sucked so was resigned to the fact that their first few CD's were the highlights.
  14. DT is one of my favorites. Hellacious Acres and Pissed are just as good as the debut IMO. Now the Rtist 4merly or whatever it's called...a few decent tunes but THAT is where they changed.
  15. Repeating chorus...similar to Dirty Looks? Guess I'll have to wait and see. I asked Importcd's what the holdup was and they said one cd from my order is on backorder and they won't ship until that cd arrives...or they can cancel that cd off the order and then ship. Ack.
  16. Actually, I think, but not sure, that Rockfist, The Regenerators and Mommy Sez No are band names that will be there. Sorta funny....
  17. Alright, the ringing not yet left my ears from last nights Crashdiet show...who's ready for round 2 next week?!
  18. Yep, I'll second everything Evil said. Snakeskyn was awesome and the lead singer was a super cool dude...wasn't in a hurry to get anywhere, just stand there and talk with ya. It was a bummer there were not more people there. While it did allow us to get right up front, take pics easily, etc, it probably means they promoter won't be trying to do another show like this any time soon. My only complaint with Crashdiet, and yes, I know this is a nitpick....is they didn't play Miracle, they didn't play Straight Outta Hell, they didn't play Chemical, but they played a fuckin' Nirvana tune? To Crashdiet: "All the awesome songs you have in your catalog there is no reason what so ever to waste time doing another band's song, let alone Nirvana. But you guys still kick ass though. " I do have a little better appreciation for Garden of Babylon now that I heard it live. I still would rather of heard one of their other tunes, but there were some cool things about seeing it live. Anyway, good to see a few of the Mafia members as well. Didn't end up seeing darin, or any of the other folks that were going. Saxon! The words CD's and dumpster should never appear in the same sentence. Oh wait...doh! I'll PM man, it has been awhile.
  19. Yeah, I might be avoiding this guy. I've only ever bought the Dirty Looks releases from FnA. Didn't have any problems. Also it appears according to a FB post, a different record company that posts here often is having problems with FnA as well.
  20. Indeed, today is the day...meeting up with Evil Rick and Doksdad in about 3-4 hours to get the pre-concert festivities started. \m/ Harvick, darin, etc....I'll probably have on a red GnR t-shirt with the bullet logo, maybe a flannel over that. We will be grabbing dinner at GB's around 5-6p. Come say "hey" if you see me and guys. GB's is a nice small place to see a show. I saw Dangerous Toys as well, and Dirty Penny, Wildside, Diemonds. Usually get to meet the band which is cool.
  21. My De La Cruz disc hasn't shipped yet. Very much looking forward to it and with all the samples I have heard and having that EP as reference I just know I am gonna love Street Level! It is funny though how we can love so much of the same music yet differ in opinion on some bands/albums that you would think would be awesome for everyone. For example I just didn't find much I liked on the latest Slash disc. I think Wes loved the whole darn thing. That Lipstixx N Bulletz release from 2009 is probably near my favorite release ever with Appetite being right there too, but never was a lot of praise to that level on here.
  22. My main point is that it isn't hard to do your website so that it lists EXACTLY what type of pressing it is, and maybe a bit more info on what the inserts look like, how many pages, lyrics included, etc. If I get to see that info listed and still want to buy a CDR with a crappy print 2 page insert, then I have nothing to complain about when I get it. If I don't see anything listed there was a time when I used to just assume it was silver pressed with decent packaging. Well the whole Demon Doll thing and a few other experiences make me pause before I press the Order button.
  23. "Oprah didn't lose any weight, they just made the aisles wider."
  24. Yeah, not bad. A little Linkin Park sound there. I always find a good fistful of tracks that I like on a Lovex release.
