  1. Yep, they sold Start @ One (digipaks) and tshirts at the end of the show. The odd (and unfortunate thing) is they didnt bring the merch out until the end of the show, so no body could buy anything until 1:30-2a. I am sure they lost a few sales. That aside, the whole band autographed anything you brought, took pics. The CD was $20 though (a bit spendy IMO) but it is very good. Totally back in the day Killer Dwarfs.
  2. Great show last night, did you make it? One of these shows we should grab a beer. Are you going out there to see Fozzy in October?
  3. Yep, I like that, good tune. One song is not enough sampling to determine if the new singers voice is as powerful as Micheal's but he seems like he will fit the bill fairly well.
  4. From Ronnie (formerly Markus) facebook page...looks like we get Grip on CD afterall. PRESS RELEASE: MissCrazyMusic/ShellDeeRecords announce... M!SS CRAZY will be releasing 3 new CD's called "The Collection" and will feature new songs on each CD plus "Can't Get Enough CD" "II CD" and "GR!P CD" 52 songs total on 3 CD's!!! Coming in OCTOBER!
  5. Great band, Address The Nation was killer start to finish...high expectations for this one!
  6. If I don't go to Rocktember next weekend I will be checking KD out here in the Twin Cities. I'll have to see if they have it by then.
  7. Yep, same here. This tactic could possibly be a slight backfire. How many people buy multiple physical copies versus those that wait...and maybe never actually buy ANY version because the next big release from a different band has grabbed attention? I will buy 1 copy, but waiting to see which bonus track I like best.
  8. Awesome, glad they did a video for it. It's my favorite tune of 2013 thus far and don't see anything knocking it off.
  9. That was my first time at Povs65 (not to be confused with the other Povs in Andover). It is old, pretty wide open bar. Crowd varies, the bar is off center, poker tables, dart boards, a lot of pool tables, pull tab and other gambling going on at a booth. Then to the other side is a small stage (the 5 man band fit up there decently though), small dance floor then some tables and booths behind the dance floor. Decent lighting, decent sound. A shorter way to describe it is a dumpy old, large bar...but perfect for a smaller setting with a band like TLV! As for TLV, they were awesome, both in performance and in personality! Similar to the Crashdiet show (but different venue) there were not a lot of people....maybe 50 or so. The first 1-2 songs they had some audio/technical troubles with feedback, couldn't hear vocals over the instruments and some reverb that made us cringe....but about song 3 they had it figured out and then played their asses off. Lead singer sounded great. Fun bunch of guys too...they were hanging out by a pretty decent merch table ahead of the show, then after the show around the bar until bar close taking pics, autographs, chatting people up...man those guys can talk, except for the drummer, he is a bit shy, smiles a lot and will talk if you lead the conversation. Other guys totally talk your ear off...the guitarist wanted to talk everything from Grain Belt beer, to Wild and Blackhawks hockey, to Packers versus Bears, who wrote Evil Eyes, his girlfriend, getting pizza in Chicago, how the police in Chicago don't have time to deal with drunk drivers in Chicago, etc....funny stuff. I got the definite impression they love their fans and appreciate them very much. I picked up their cd Seal The Deal. They said it was out of print but the dug some up, $10, autographed it....so that was a bonus for me, I didn't know it existed. I also talked to John the promoter of the show (who brought Crashdiet and bringing Killer Dwarfs this year too). He said he is working on another Crashdiet visit and he will get The Last Vegas up here again, no doubt he said. TLV told me they played the Harley Davidson Fest in Milwaukee yesterday, along with Halestorm. They also said they are coming back to Milwaukee for an out door festival on Sept....20th I think, I'd have to doublecheck that, its the Saturday. Killer Dwarfs will also be out in Fargo/Moorehead, MN the night before, Sept 13 I think. The problem with the 14th for me is a bunch of buds including Chad from the boards here are heading just north of the cities to Hinkley, MN for Rocktember, a Saturday event with Trixter, Skid Row, Lita Ford, Warrant, Kip Winger, L.A. Guns, Dokken, Firehouse. https://www.grandcasinomn.com/events-detail-popup.aspx?eventid=3042&keepThis=true&TB_iframe=true&height=487&width=855 Never seen KD and would like to, but the all day show is gonna be a blast too. Decisions, decisions.
  10. I'll be there tomorrow night....will you? http://www.povs65.com/
  11. Getting this thread back on track, I have listened through a few times and a lot of quality tunes per usual from Reckless Love. I am not ready to place it at or above Animal Attraction. Maybe with time. That said it does have probably a top 5 RL tune for me with Night On Fire. Edge of Our Dreams, Dyin' To Live, Run Away Love are other standout tracks for me. Not a bad song on here really. A few things I noticed, neither good, nor bad.... I Love Heavy Metal - none of those bands are heavy metal, it is nit-picky I know and, I like the song, but that thought pops into my head every time I Love Heavy Metal - does Olli's accent show when he says "Bon Joveeee"? or is it just me? Bad Lovin' - never thought a band could use "gay, straight or bi" in lyrics and have it be a good song After hearing the tunes I really like the album cover. I mention this because it was briefly discussed here at HH. I liked it initially, like it even more now...the tunes seems to fit. Now the question is where to buy it from. Which will probably depend on the bonus tracks.
  12. Hmmm, I didn't know of a 3rd Euro or UK version. I suppose the thing I will do is try to track down a listen of the track 12's and if I like one clearly better than the other then purchase that version and deal with $20-$30 for a cd. That is so much for a cd though. But I don't like to purchase downloads. Or I wait until a more reasonable price comes along which may be never. <sigh>
  13. $23 +free shipping at Amazon, IF you spend $25 or more. $25 at CDJapan +shipping and you get a Japan release with a bonus track I dunno, a bit more expensive going the JPN route but close enough to make it a consideration.
  14. So where is everyone making this purchase from?
  15. Hmmm, why my youtube links are not embedding as video's? Anyway, here is another tune.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hw_Ug0SQs5M
  16. I think if the vocals were cleaned up a bit I could like this band Thoughts? https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=Fo6PdObBR4s#t=39
  17. JPN release 10-02-2013 http://www.cdjapan.co.jp/detailview.html?KEY=UICN-1050
  18. Good tune for sure. Wasn't their EP in 2011, Excess All Areas in 2012, now another release in 2013? Busy band to say the least
  19. That tune is ok, I don't find it all that awesome, but good enough to check out more samples. Rest of the cd would have to pick it up a notch for me to want to buy it though.
  20. The original GnR lineup....if they just coulda kept it together imagine the additional killer tunes we would be have in our playlists today
  21. I like that, worth checking out more of. No surprise you found them searching for Sister Sin. Maybe like Diemonds a bit as well. Hard modern rock, a touch of metal.
  22. "a little odd" is a good way to put it. and I agree with zm too, bands need help on the first song they choose to toss out there....rock it up on the first couple to get us cranked, then let us find the ballads and the plodding along songs ourselves when we buy the CD. I do like the guitar work on the solo here though. Kind thought I was in Cancun Mexico at the end of it.
  23. So Jeff ... to practice what you preach, what do you think of this one? Indeed! Well, before even listening to the song I can tell you this much...I don't like the band name, it just conjurs a bad image. Not as bad as Pussy Sisster, but still, not good. Second, I am changing my name on this board to Hellboss. Very cool. The song....it needs more cowbell. Seriously though, I am lukewarm on it. This is a song to me that I like to call a "f*ucking around song". It's just be-boppin' along like they all sat down one night and just jammed a little, not a lot of thought into it, nothing driving, somewhat annoying backing vocals. That said, I will keep an open mind for the rest of the tunes.
