  1. Loved all the EP, my favorites off the EP are the namesake tune De La Cruz and the hauntingly brilliant Fire Inside. ImportCDs shipped most my order this morning but of course not De La Cruz, go figure. Good to see Glen's thoughts on it as I generally have similar opinions, not always, but mostly. Then again, I checked out the samples, the EP of course, so I know what I am getting....can't wait!
  2. Can't answer that for you BUT did you download their EP from their website? That would help decide if you like their style. And a lot of samples from Street Level posted a few pages back in this thread. I think the EP was awesome and the samples for SL sound to be the same.
  3. $15 for a CDR. What else needs to be told?
  4. I ordered this one tonight from ImportCDs.com It is on sale $10.50, still listed as pre-order still but I figure they will have it soon enough. International shipping is $6.99 for the first CD but if you make a larger order it is only $2 more per item, maybe it would work out for some of you folks not in the USA? So if you found 5 cd's for $10.50, it is $15 to ship them international so that's $13.50 per cd average. Not all cd's are $10.50 but some are discounted at times real good and some are just a bit more, like the new PC69 is $11.99, Shakra is like $10.35, Youngblood $8.99, The Poodles Performancy $6.99.
  5. Hell Yeah!!! I plan to be there. Cool, Darin, Jeff and myself so far for the MN show. Anyone else up for this? I may be up for this too. Where are you located G?
  6. The Cleavage releases are said to be CDR's by a few members here that bought them already. To me a CDR is just a copy. I think record companies/distributors need to start listing each release as silver pressed, CDR and maybe what comes with the inserts. I agree it is great to get access to all this music but at the same time it is really disappointing to shell out $15, $20+ for something that turns out to be a CDR with crap print on the booklets or a 1-2 page booklet insert. A year or 2 ago I suggested Demon Doll list a bit more info like that on each item and got my ass chewed and told never to come back. They have a ton of music right up my alley but so far I haven't went back. I'm sure some day I will maybe but if you feel you have a quality product then give details. Not giving details to me means you are afraid people will not like what those details are. It's not that hard to add some lines on the CD description page. Anyway, enough ranting, it wasn't meant to be at you (the game), I just should never have went to that Monday 2p staff meeting. F*ck.
  7. This is released tomorrow in the US, correct?
  8. Good point for sure. For me, I don't get too involved with a lot of these types of bands because there is so much other stuff to check out and not enough time. BUT if I come across some of their good songs then I like to put them in the library. Then when they come on shuffle during house cleaning day I tend to like the songs a lot....they add a nice change of pace to the mix.
  9. LOL Who are you, and what did you do with Cody?
  10. Set list from your show at the Whiskey A Go Go: Change The World Circus Tikket Anarchy Breakin' the Chainz Rebel In the Raw Queen Obscene / 69 Shots Got A Reason It's a Miracle Garden of Babylon Encore: Riot in Everyone Chemical Down With the Dust Cocaine Cowboys Generation Wild Great set list - I doubt we will get that many songs as there are 5 bands on our bill. Good variation though. Yep, great list. If I would get to swap one song out for another I would take out Garden Of Babylon and put in Straight Outta Hell. Or just add Straight Outta Hell....love that tune.

  12. Ah, Dave you are a scholar and a gentleman! My bad.
  13. You guys are killing me. Pink Floyd - a ton of good tunes....Keep Talking from The Division Bell? GnR - my goodness, all of Appetite is better than Civil War and I like Civil War just fine. Vain, WASP, Blue Tears? Sting, as in the only song you like by The Police is Every Breath You Take? Even Genesis has a lot of good tunes IMO. I'm dying here...I've fallen and I can't get up. Ok, to each his own. I didn't help this thread along any so I'll exit stage left.
  14. Recently I saw Europe in a "Metal Case Series"....or at least that is what I thought it said. I tried Google for it but didn't see much so I must have the name wrong. Maybe I need to stop back there and take a look.
  15. I am midway through season 7 on Netflix. I love this show. Now they are driving an old Dodge! Love it. So are they starting to wind this show down to a complete ending? My worry with shows like this is that they try to squeeze every thing out of it until either an actor quits, the story sucks, or it just plain doesn't get renewed. So far so good. What season is currently airing? I don't wanna Google it in case I get a spoiler.
  16. "Or what is the condition of the booklet, are the pages stuck together? "
  17. Have fun, let us know how it was!
  18. Jettblack AND Hell In The Club? I envy you sir!
  19. They play tonight in West Hollywood, CA. Tomorrow night in San Diego. Monday in San Fran, Tuesday in Las Vegas, and Thursday with Idaho (with Diemonds...cool). I'll be curious to know their set list if it changes at all from what they have done so far: March 9 CRASHDÏET Setlist at Clash Club, São Paulo, Brazil Change The World Circus Anarchy Breakin' the Chainz In the Raw Rebel Lickin' Dog Queen Obscene / 69 Shots Got A Reason It's a Miracle Garden of Babylon Encore: Riot in Everyone Chemical Excited Down With the Dust Liquid Jesus Encore 2: Cocaine Cowboys Generation Wild March 15 CRASHDÏET Setlist at Hooligans, Albuquerque, NM, USA Change The World Circus Anarchy Breakin' the Chainz Queen Obscene / 69 Shots Chemical It's a Miracle Garden of Babylon Cocaine Cowboys
  20. Here is another. Now don't get me wrong, I have always really liked this tune, I'd probably still call it a great tune. But the tweak for me would again be less screaming the lyrics but instead sing them. I know, it is their thing for bands like this. But it sorta goes back to the argument some of you were having about whether or not a guitar solos is needed to make a song great or not having one makes it crappy. For me, it depends on the flow of the song. Not every song needs a solo. But any song that has excessive screaming and grunting gets a few negative marks from me. In Flames - Bullet Ride
  21. From the other thread "Does This Belong on HH" I mentioned I would love a lot of the modern metal bands if they would just eliminate the screaming/grunting, the unintelligible lyrics. They write a great rif, verse and/or chorus but somehow manage to drag a killer song down to just good. Here is an example of a killer tune that is just a great tune because of 2 things IMO: 1. The pause and then the screaming. 2. They barely come back to that opening rif? Seriously, you start with great guitar work, build up to a pretty rocking tune, a multi-level solo, but only scream "mine!" over a short section of that killer opening? Frustrating, but still a good tune...but coulda been great. Stone Sour - Gone Sovereign http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tm-yNBwhC3o
  22. How's the packaging on this one? I'm thinking to order but almost $14 for 5-6 songs, maybe hold off for a full length, unless this is done nicely. $14?? I don't recall paying that much. I think it was like 3-4 Euro (cheap, I know) then like 6-7 Euro to ship to the US...Euro to Dollar conversion, it was something like $13.75. You located in Europe? Probably a lot cheaper to ship. I paid $13.85(USD). If I remember correctly, shipping was more than the disc itself. Still agreat EP though! Yep, I only live about an 1.5 hours from Mr. darin here so that confirms I didn't mess something up when figuring the total cost...I was right in the ball park. Good you other fella's got it for cheap though....darn shipping costs!!!
  23. Temper Temper is pretty good. Riot not so much. It's been frustrating for me with some of these modern metal bands that they tend to have a lot of songs that have a great guitar rif and either a killer chorus or killer verse but the rest of it is screaming or grunting that just makes the song barely listenable. If they left the grunts and screams out and stuck with the good stuff I would love a lot more of these modern metal bands.
  24. Jeff speaks the truth If the 2 bonus tracks were on the main release it would have been my no 1 too. Not sure what I would have removed from the main release. I know a lot of folks say Downtown, but I LOVE that tune. Speaking of which, can anyone hook me up with Too Far On The Wild Side in good quality? And yes, I bought and own the CD, just not the Korean release.
