  1. I haven't heard of these guys before but the samples sound good. That S/T album was released in 2007 right? Has there been anything since or are their plans for a new album?
  2. My fav is Detonator, why? because of the songs 'One Step Away' and 'Giving Yourself Away'. But I have enjoyed all Ratt albums.
  3. What I have heard from these guys I really enjoyed. I've got this 3 disc anthology on the way from my latest AOR Heaven order.
  4. I couldn't see that these guys had a thread already but they sure are deserving of one. Shadow Deamon are a power metal band, formed in Sweden in 2006. Their debut album 'In Shadows Lost From The Brave' was released in 2008 and the follow-up album 'Pandeamonium' is due to be released in May/June this year. I know there's a ton of these melodic power metal bands around at the moment and many of them sound the same, but for some reason these guys caught my attention. I guess they do take influences from heavier bands like Hammerfall but also have a good dose of hard rock mixed in as well. Some nice catchy choruses are included in their songs and a few power metal ballads as well. I guess if you enjoy melodic power metal, this is one band to check out. Line-Up: Jan Thore Grefstad - Vocals Andreas "Toya" Johansson - Guitar Magnus "Nobby" Norberg - Bass Ronny Milianowicz - Drums In Shadows Lost From The Brave, Frontiers Records, 2008 1. The Exodus 2. My Judas 3. In Shadows Lost From The Brave 4. My Heart 5. The Burden 6. No Mans Land 7. Ride Forever 8. Black Symphony 9. Deamons 10. The Brave Never Bleeds 11. My Sorrow 12. Run For Your Life Pandeamonium, Frontiers Records, 2009 1. Deception 2. The Only One Sane 3. Pandeamonium 4. Eyes of the Devil 5. A Day to Come 6. Way Home 7. Fallen Angel 8. The Deamon Within 9. Oceans of Glory 10. Fear In a Fragile Mind 11. Pandeamonium (Video) Check out samples at the Saint Deamon Homepage or at their MySpace page.
  5. Yeah these songs sound real nice. I ordered a copy of the EP from AOR Heaven yesterday. Looking forward to this.
  6. Yeah it does appear that this band is from Ireland, formerly known as Sweet Savage. Apparantly released some demo material and supported W.A.S.P. on tour. Here's some more info.
  7. Yeah very true Matt. One of my biggest hates with CD's is when artists/labels don't put any effort whatsoever into the packaging/booklet and expect people to buy it. Especially on greatest hits/retrospective releases where some don't even have a single photo of the band included. Some don't even use their original logo. But yes, well done to Hansel not only for their great music but also for the effort that went into the CD packaging, especially as a small and relatively unknown band. Go to their website and pick up a copy yourself, the guys are friendly and will get a copy sent to you ASAP. Cheap too!
  8. Yeah I don't mind that song either, he has one or two other good songs as well.
  9. Yep and their best song IMO

What a load of crap... Common source of reference? What are you going on about now?? Good music is good music, if you don't like it - don't listen to it...pretty simple concept. You obviously still can't get over the fact that there are HH's members who enjoy listening to Cher - *UCKen deal with it!
  11. Agreed, I've only heard one of the Hot Leg songs but I'm definately liking it. I always did like The Darkness, don't care what other people think about that.
  12. I saw Whitesnake play this tune live back in '88. ZZ Top fans will recognize it as a cover of "Tush," except Dave and the boys replace "Tush" with "Tits." Oh, that Coverdale.... sooooo subtle! Ah ok, I'm not familiar with Tush, that's why I didn't pick it up. Actually on the latest Whitesnake DVD 'Live In The Still Of The Night', there is a part during the song 'Is This Love' where a lady in the front row flashes her tits at Dave. At the end of the song he announces somehting like "thankyou for your tits, most inspirational I assure you" to the poor embarassed lady.
  13. Yeah hard to know. Either way they are a very high quality package and have had a lot of effort put into them, better quality than many "official" LP releases of the same era. Certainly they do appear to be as old as they claim to be (1988).
  14. Adam Kury played for Legs Diamond, Boneyard, The Liberators, a Cream tribute band and an awesome power pop/rock band called Catch 22.
  15. Sure did, from memory both were under AU$10, that's US$7
  16. No idea, it says on the back cover: "FOR FAN CLUB USE ONLY - NOT FOR RESALE. THIS ALBUM WAS MADE IN A STRICTLY LIMITED EDITION OF 500 COPIES." I've searched the net and found another one selling for around 50 Euros. I bought both of mine off E-Bay and was the only bidder so got them cheap as chips.
  17. Answered my own question, 'Tits' is a ZZ Top cover, you can watch Whitesanke perform it live here on YouTube Speaking of tits, you can't appreciate it from the tiny album cover above, but the chick on the front cover shows a fine example of tits. I'm not sure who she's supposed to be but she has metal legs and is wearing a black skirt that looks like it's about to blow away in the wind. She has the most crazy hair style I've ever seen.

I actually finding huge entertainment from this thread.
  19. Over the last few years I've picked up two copies of this Whitesnake double LP titled 'One In A Million'. Both copies were picked up for less that AU$10 each. It's a two LP set containing 19 songs. Of these, 16 songs are live in Tokyo 1988 and the last three songs are live in Spokane, Washington, 1984. One In A Million was a fan club only release, with a strictly limited edition of 500 copies only. Club9, Sweden, 1988 Line-Up: David Coverdale - vocals Vivian Campbell - guitar, keyboards, vocals Adrian Vandenberg - guitar, keyboards, vocals Rudy Sarzo - bass, keyboards, vocals Tommy Aldridge - drums Track Listing: Side A: 1. Intro 2. Bad Boys/Children Of The Night 3. Slide It In 4. Slow An' Easy 5. Here I Go Again Side B: 1. Guilty Of Love 2. Is This Love 3. Love Ain't No Stranger 4. Guitar Solo 5. Crying In The Rain Side C: 1. Drum Solo 2. Crying In The Rain (cont.) 3. Still Of The Night 4. Ain't No Love In The Heart Of The City Side D: 1. Give Me All Your Love 2. Tits 3. Gambler 4. Guilty Of Love 5. Love Ain't No Stranger Can anyone tell me anything else about this release? Are fan club releases worth much? And where does the Whitesnake song 'Tits' come from?

Speak for youself mate. Judging by comments so far your pretty much alone in your narrow minded opinions.
  21. Backed x 10. Just got a quick listen in and 'December' is absolutely superb. That must be the song I heard on the radio. 'Save me' is pretty crap but 'Throw it away' sounds okay. I need to hear a few more songs, but I really hope there are more like 'December'. Yeah I've got to say after listing to the MySpace samples, 'December' really outshines the rest of the songs. Some of the others are okay, but I've got a feeling these guys don't have any other songs that come close to 'December'. Still I'd like to be proven wrong and I'll be looking out for the album when it's released.
  22. I've not heard of these guys before, but great stuff. I'll be catching them on one of their Qld dates for sure. That first song on their MySpace 'December' is bloody awesome.
  23. Man this album kicks ass...I expect this will be right up there in my top 10 releases for 2009. Love this band!
