  1. Thanks for the info Dave. After more plays of this album, I'd have to agree that it's not anything special but there are two, maybe three really nice songs on here. I tend to get a little excited when I discover new Aussie AOR/Hard Rock bands, especially those from the late 80's/early 90's era. BTW, I sent you a PM regarding that extra track.
  2. So how was the Candy Harlots show? Was I crazy not to make it?

Steal, Black Cat Moan, Angry Anderson Band Alan Lancaster (Bass, Backing Vocals) Angelo Salter (Guitar) Sons Of Steel Does anyone know much about this band? Apparantly they are an Aussie band who lived for 3 years from 1988-1990 but I'd never heard of them until now. I found two different references one saying they're from Perth and another stating Sydney as their home town. A bit on the bluesy side of Hard Rock at times but don't let that put you off if you don't like Bluesy Hard Rock as there is some really cool songs on here. This was their only album but they have at least 3 singles as well. The album got a Japanese and German release as well as the Aussie version so I wonder if they were popular in other countries. There are two copies of the album on E-bay at the moment, one for 25 Euros and another for US $120. If anyone has any of the CD singles with non-album tracks, I'd be very interested.
  4. Yeah my first thought as well. I much prefer the original cover. It's an ok hard rock album, nothing special though.
  5. Man I wish I could go...but have a few other commitments. Hope it's a good show for you!
  6. Awesome disc! One of my all time favourites!
  7. Which one was musically the most kick ass and memorable??
  8. $168.50, not bad. If anyone has MP3's and could share...I'd really really really love to hear this.
  9. Has anyone heard this release? Apparantly it's an Aussie AOR album. It's currently selling on E-Bay for a crazy amount of dollar. E-Bay Link 1994, RS001 Play The Game White Lining Gracious Love See My Baby Two People Ice Woman Working Hard
  10. Man I would have loved to be at those concerts!!!! So jealous!!!!
  11. No but I've been looking forward to it. Is the new album out?
  12. For some reason I thought Farcry was an '08 release and left it off my list...will correct that ASAP. A great album and makes my top 10 for sure.
  13. Sad news...I may not be making it down for Candy Harlots. I will know next week.
  14. I used to hate DigiPacks but now I'm starting to not mind them so much. They definately can give an album a great presentation. I find if you store them inside a thick guage vinyl plastic cover they stay in good condition. A pain to store in the shelves/CD rack though due to them being larger than a jewel case.

Yep, an amazing album that sounds better with each listen. Not a single filler on it. Essential!
  16. Yeah I liked the samples, it should be arriving in my next NEH order, very soon I hope.

  20. Just thought I'd start a topic to see if there are any other Brett Walker fans around here. Whilst his music all has a fairly similar acoustic guitar sound to it, he has written some awesome songs over the years and I feel his music is very under rated. Early on in his career, Brett was a guitarist for Nick Gilder and Tane Cane. As a songwriter he helped out Jimi Jamison and wrote the Alias hit 'Waiting For Love'. I'd be very interested in hearing if anyone knows of any other Brett Walker songs/demos.
