Well, I'm back at work today but I'm the only one here so I've had my Ipod playing all day. I love it because there's only limited space I have only put the best of the best tracks on it (and plan to do it for all my discs, 5 years later when I'm finally through them all, assuming half of the tracks fit on here :) ) but I'm now listening to 'The Distance' by Company of Wolves. Hearing a lot of amazing tracks I haven't heard for ages, which is great. :)

That one just finished and now it's (You've got a) grip on my heart' by Atello.

Silverstein - 'Discovering the waterfront' (just a brilliant peice of music. Absolutely love this disc!)

My Chemical Romance - both discs (Decent band, but it's hard to believe that of all th emodern hard rock bands this is one that have 'made it'. As I say, solid band but not a scratch on one like Silverstein.)

Crash Kelly-Penny pills

On its first spin, but its a friggin great album!

I got a flyer at a gig I went to in 2004,and like most flyers I thought nothing about it,and filed it away in my junk pile.

A few days ago I was tidying some stuff up,and came across the flyer again.

The band described themselves as being influenced by bands like Cheap Trick & T-Rex among others,so I downloaded a song off Emule to give them a listen, and I was impressed (although my first impression was that the singers vocal style emulates Phil Lewis of LA Guns).

I then proceeded to order the CD!

Have just submitted it to the database, but they can be checked out at their website http://www.crashkelly.ca/ or on their MySpace account http://www.myspace.com/crashkelly!

DISTURBED - Ten Thousand Fists

Anyone know if their other albums are better? I really like the style, but think the album quality drops off towards the end.

Hey Tim (2), I personally wouldn't bother. I think 'Ten thousand fists' has a few good songs on it, but I think there are many better nu-metal acts... but that's just me. Either way, I heard the previous albums and I really wouldn't bother. Much worse than 'Fists' IMO.

He is a really cool guy. He is actually a music teacher up in Canada. He has been on my buddies radio show a few times. He really loves the London Quireboys and that is quite apparent in his music. Along with Thin Lizzy. I have the first run of the album as it was re-released on Liquor and Poker records. I agree that this is a very fine album. I am quietly waiting for #2.

More Ipod listening as my car's battery ran out this morning and my stereo reset and I can't use the f*cker. But today it has been a bunch of stuff like:

1927 (How good a song is 'Compulsory hero'!

220 Volt - 'Eye to eye' tracks

3 Wishes - 'Never be the same' (what a song!)

and now 7th Heaven - a selection from their 'Silver' discs.

91 Suite - s/t (F*ck me this is a sensational album. I've really grown to dig the new album, but IMO it is still not a scratch on this disc. The songs are just amazing and the vocal delivery on every song is so damn sincere... I love this disc!!!)

Gotthard ~ "Nobody's Home". How this is a 'bonus' cut, that only *some* people get....is just beyond me. I loooooove this little ditty.....DRUMS!!!!!!! Shoulda been on the regular release....dammit!

OW!

Run run run away from what I see

Television ain't my reality

Sick and tired of how you want me to be

Like it or not, I'm gonna do what I please

And so...

There's nobody home to pick up the phone

And the number's disconnected

Just leave me alone 'cuz whatever you say

Won't change my life in any other way

No.......no way

Tell me now, tell me now what's the score?

Brainwashing games I can't take no more

Don't give me that stuff, don't you even try

To make me believe what in fact is a lie

You know....

There's nobody home to pick up the phone

And the number's disconnected

While breaking the rule being nobody's fool

The request has been rejected

I'm going to say there's no one to blame

I'm in need of comprehension

'Cuz whatever they do, whatever they say

Won't change my life in any....change my life in any other way

No way....

Breakin' the rules....nobody's fool

Breakin' the rules....nobody's fool

Aces High - various tracks...

Alright that's it, I've read one too many positive comments about 91 Suite, I'm just going to have to pick it up... <_<

Good decision B.C. I've seen your list of 2005 & I honestly think this edges out the Place Vendome, Allen/Lande & Wig Wam CD's. All are awesome though. If you love Jaded Heart/Charade/a slightly more AOR Frontline etc, you'll LOVE this...

Playing:-

MASTERPLAN - Aeronautics
