Black Sabbath - Technical Ecstasy

:tumbsup::bowdown:

It's better than Never Say Die but still not near as good as the first 6 albums.

For me they sound much more like some bands they influenced than sounding like the Classic Sabbath.

Iommi does play his ass off though as usual but there's not that many great songs IMO.

Keep listening mate, experimental stage, this grew on me eventually!

Not the dark depressing classic era but still excellent :tumbsup:

Never Say Die is great too, some excellent songs on there too :tumbsup:

Never Say Die has 3 or 4 really good songs and mostly their the first 3 tracks.

Yeah I agree with both of those albums they were in their experimental stage and there is some good stuff going on and some great playing but both of those IMO anyway pale in comparison to the early stuff. Then Heaven&Hell came along and they were awesome again. :banger:

Fair enough Wes :tumbsup:

Poison - 'Poison'd' ; seriously, I hate covers albums so much but I honestly don't hate this one as so many others I've heard. I guess that's where bias for one of your favourite bands comes in handy. I seriously don't mind 'Suffragette City', 'I need to know', 'Just what I needed'... hell, the only one I've really disliked so far are 'Little Willy' and 'Dead flowers'. I can handle the rest. Possibly my 2nd fave covers album that I've bothered to hear... after LA Guns' 'Rip the Covers Off'... which is actually a pretty cool album - covers or not.

    • So some may remember that Tyketto toured recently and aside from Forever Young, I never delved into this band. So I did, so I'd know the songs in concert and was blown away. A great band with an awesome catalog that I had missed out on. To be fair, in the 80's it was a lot harder to access and find out about a lot of the more fringe bands, that's my excuse anyway. So I now am faced with digging deeper into some other bands I've overlooked. Some of these I gave a go, and wasn't really impressed, but now I'm starting fresh with an open mind. So below is a list of bands I have eitehr never bothered with, or never really gave a proper go. Lizzy Borden is on the list and I have done a bit of their stuff and like it a lot, so I will definately dig deeper into them (I've got some older stuff and some newer stuff, but have skipped quite a few albums) But the others, fire away, tell me which bands have killer material that I'll froth and how stppid I've been to skip them. • I like the album art. I love when contemporary Glam Metal bands have album art with a genuine 80s vibe to it.
    • Nope, for a while, I used to think Rapunzel from Tangled (2010) was hot... But then I stopped being attracted to cartoon characters.
    • This is definitely the first time I've heard about it, I'll have to give it a listen!
