Song of the Day

Brave New World - Iron Maiden (One of my favourites and should have been played live the other night instead of The Wicker Man)

"Ghost of Navigator" is my fav on that album but they're all great. "Out of the Silent Planet", "Dream of Mirrors" and "Blood Brothers" are three others that are just amazing.

It was the single/video and best known song so no surprise plus it is a great song.

A Man I'll Never Be - Boston

A perfect song IMO.

Yep. I remember being 10, sitting on my bedroom floor playing with Lego blocks and singing along to this song. I didn't understand--couldn't understand, really--what it was about, but I knew I loved it.

Those harmonies give me chills to this day....oh and 'that' guitar.

    • It's ok. I think people know I am a massive Crue fan, and I like a lot of stuff by them that people hate (the Generation Swine album for example) but the only newer original song I have cared about them in recent years was The Dirt. Everything else has been either meh or crap. I did also like their cover of Like a virgin, which I know a lot of peeps didn't like, so it's not like I am just craving the good old days. I would be happy if we could get a song close to Afraid, Saints of Los Angeles or the aforementioned The Dirt. I think songs like that will be few and far between sadly.
    • Have to agree. Although my expectations were that it would be absolutely horrible like Dogs of War lol. Still far away from classic Motley Crue but I at least made it all the way through this one so that's a positive. Still nothing to write home about but at least it rocks fairly well and there's a semblance of a song there.
