I'm sure the regulars on this thread have seen this latest video.

It's a good one, and it gives me the excuse to post these 2 beyond Legendary AOR tracks.

The story of Autograph; opening for Van Halen, a record deal, “Turn Up the Radio”, etc…

I tell you what annoys me about this channel, and I reckon he's doing himself a disservice... even though I get it's kind of his gimmick, to draw listeners in to see who he's talking about... but man do I wish he had the band name of whoever he's talking about in the title. I just don't have the desire to sit through all the videos hoping it's something cool. I'll watch that Autograph one now that I realise he's talking about Autograph.

Agreed and I think its more than that for me. His hepster mentality and the delivery doesn't resonate with me.

Sorry not a fan and really his stories are pretty basic knowledge stuff presented as if he's (him specifically) has found the holy grail.

Haha. Yeah, not to kick a man when he's down, but I agree. I'm not into his delivery either. Been a minute since I watched one of his vids, but the way he tells his stories isn't for me either. I have found a couple of his videos interesting, but he's not my favourite channel by a long way.

Yeah his videos do nothing for me either. I think it's hat that annoys me most though.

I have watched a couple of his videos and spotted numerous errors as well, and pointed them out in the comments but he ignores them rather than acknowledge them.

Take the Joan Jett video. He says she was 15 when she co-fronted The Runaways. The Runaways were founded in August 1975 a month before Joan turned 17 (she was born Sept 1958).

This is readily available information that is not hard to fact check yet I am sure he is just going on his own memory.

I enjoy seeing him interact with the actual artists themselves, and hearing them tell the stories.

But other than that, as others have stated, there's a lot to not like about his videos.

For a guy who seems to have legitimate connections and actually has the artists in his videos, you'd think he'd have time to make sure he's at least got all of the information correct.

What really bugs me, though, is the clickbait titles. For instance, he had titled LEGENDARY BAND Admit They are REPULSED by This 70s Hit... TIRED of Playing It! (and the only reason I clicked on the video in the first place is because I recognized Steve Lukather in the thumbnail). Come to find out that the song the title is referring to is "Hold the Line," and they said they were sick of playing it back in the 80's after it had been EVERYWHERE, but in the interview with him, they're like "we love to play it again now!"

So not only are his titles pulling you in with information that isn't really accurate, you don't even know who he's talking about most of the time unless you recognize the person in the video's thumbnail (if they're even shown). It's a really lame way to chase engagement, IMO.

And don’t forget to check out our sponsor, Zenni (sp?) Eyewear. 🤬

I probably watch about 10% of the vids he puts out, and find him to be irritating as fuck at times. I watched the vid on Autograph all the way through though, as it was actually interesting. His clickbaitiness is why I described what was in the vid the way I did 👍

I don't think he's down. He seems to be very popular. So don't worry. Keep kicking.

So many annoying people on the YouTubes. But they have tons of views, so I guess I'm part of the minority. That or their clickbait titles work.

    • Not really something that fully appeals to me, but I certainly don't see it as dogshit. If it came on the radio (not that I listen to radio) I certainly would not turn it off or skip it on a playlist.
    • Yeah, this whole thread offends me.
    • I'm liking that first track as well
    • Interesting song choice as far as covering Journey, but they likely wanted to go with a lesser known track.   I'm not a fan of the vocal effects nor the guitar tone.  It's a skip for me, but not as bad as I was expecting after reading the prior comments.
    • The nice voice will change for future records, according to Graywolf's Facebook page:

    • Ehh? Is this the same content retitled, or a completely different set of live material?... there's so much wrong with this announcement: This album was previously released as a very-limited CD/DVD.  It sold out instantly.  So we went back in and did a Dolby Atmos remaster/remix of the album, and all new artwork. But CD and DVD don't support Dolby Atmos. That's not a thing. Blu-Ray yes, but not CD or DVD. ALSO - Not only will this be available on streaming platforms but we will soon be announcing the release of Vinyl, CD/DVD, and Cassette.  Yes, you read that right.  Cassette.  Oh - let's talk about the video - the BluRay video has been upgraded to 4K for this release "Upgraded to 4k"... whut? Unless it was reshot using 4K cameras (or was originally shot in 4K but simply authored to blu-ray in SDR) and is completely reauthored to support HDR, a 4K UHD release may not actually be an improvement. Boomers saying boomer things...
    • From the Michael Sweet FB page: You asked for it!  And we listened!  To Hell with the Amps, our acoustic album, is being released worldwide on May 10 to streaming services everywhere.   This album was previously released as a very-limited CD/DVD.  It sold out instantly.  So we went back in and did a Dolby Atmos remaster/remix of the album, and all new artwork.   ALSO - Not only will this be available on streaming platforms but we will soon be announcing the release of Vinyl, CD/DVD, and Cassette.  Yes, you read that right.  Cassette.  Oh - let's talk about the video - the BluRay video has been upgraded to 4K for this release.   There are so many exciting things to come with this release.  Stay tuned here and at Stryper.com We are looking forward to taking this acoustic album on the road starting May 30.
    • May I introduce a Swiss singer who is obviously not yet represented here (perhaps for reasons): Seraina Telli. I don't understand how you can make an official music video in portrait format, but I like the sound. 2015 - 2019: Leader of the metal band Burning Witches with successful European tours. She was a founding member and also co-songwriter on the first two studio albums. Since 2019, she has been touring solo and with her own band Dead Venus. 2022: Debut solo album 'Simple Talk' reaches number 2 in the Swiss charts. She toured Europe with CoreLeoni (fall 2022) and The New Roses (spring 2023). If you're interested, you can check out her YouTube-Channel.
    • The logo is cool. Somehow. And somehow not. Okay, I listened to the track, becausec I read Steve Perry (and not your text). Then the song didn't grab me at all. Then I read the rest. Then I was reassured. Then I skipped.
