I too was apprehensive as well.

 

But color me pleasantly surprised and impressed.

 

Good song. Nice and dirty, heavy and still holds that southern fried hard rock vein they captured on their S/T. 

 

This tune is obviously drop tuned, which had me worried in the beginning and still could easily be an Alice N Chains b-side, but again they still sound like EMN.

 

I like the intro bit as it was very similar to Walls Come Down which I am sure was intentional as an homage and tie together of old and new EMN.

 

QUite looking forward to hearing more.

A mixed bag. Mostly modern garbage. A few okay sounding songs.

I haven't followed up on the inner workings of these guys for a while after a series of very forgettable CDs, but is it still basically just the lead singer and some dudes? Any other original members involved in this again? Just listening to the first song, it's listenable but no keeper. I'll listen to anything new these guys release forevermore, but I don't have high hopes.
