Guest Security_Under_Pressure
What is up with this Bon Jovi crap? #1, he looks like a girl, #2 he's probably the biggest commercialized sell-out in the history of rock, and #3 he and his band have zero musical integrity, respect or credibility. Now, onto the albums: King Crimson - Absent Lovers (live from Montreal) Radiohead - Kid A Dream Theater - Scenes From a Memory Rush - A Show of Hands, live (best rock instrumentalists ever) Pearl Jam - bootleg from Seattle in 1992
metalmaniac777
You're listening to PEARL JAM and calling BON JOVI crap? I'll take any commercial pop-metal band over sewer-sludge like PEARL JAM any day of the week and twice on Sundays. You're welcome to your opinion, but are you sure you came to the right site?? Just wonderin'... Keep the faith. Mark
TheRipper
I agree with metalmaniac777, I'd personally like to assassinate the whole Pearl Jam band, can't stand those fuckers! I like old Bon Jovi, but I'm not really digging their new stuff (almost all pop, even considering the term "Pop-Metal"), that's just me, but I'd still rather listen to any Bon Jovi than Pearl Jam by a long shot... Guest Berry
A bit late joining this discussion, but these are the CDs I've been listening to the last couple of days: Masterplan - s/t FM - Indiscreet Symphony X - The Odyssey Kick - Sweet Lick Of Fire Audioslave - s/t Bit of a mix there... Guest Security_Under_Pressure
You're listening to PEARL JAM and calling BON JOVI crap? Why yes, and quite easily. I find it extremely difficult to even compare the two. Bon Jovi is possibly the biggest pop/rock sellout in the history of the business. What half time sporting event HASN'T he performed at? And he nor his bandmates have ever gone outside of the box and done anything different, musically speaking. Music means nothing to them, just image. Pearl Jam is not one of my favorite bands, but they're an "album" band, not a singles band, with some interesting stuff (not what you hear on the radio mind you), so that's why I listen to them every once in a while. I also think Vedder has a classic live voice, and Matt Cameron is one of the better drummers to come out of the early 90s.
