From Little Caesar (FB):

Well the new album is done, mixed mastered and delivered. We are incredibly happy with it. Our Brother Bruce Witkin did such a great job giving us a powerful warm sound and played some great Guitar and Organ on it too. We think you’re all gonna really dig this one. A single drops next month and the full release in March. Gonna be a great 2018!!

Really looking forward to this. Ron's been alluding to it for a while on Facebook.

Seems like yesterday American Dream came out, which is a great disc.

That's kind of cool. That 'Heat of emotion' album from CITA is not one to be forgotten. More or less a classic in melodic rock. Unfortunately they could never piece together anything consistent after that as GOA, but I'll look forward to hearing where they're at. The last album - what moniker was that under - Relapse or something? - was pretty awful, mostly due to a tin-can production job. Hoping for good production, and great songs.

I must admit, i've enjoyed all C.I.T.A. and G.O.A releases.

From Angeline (FB):

Greetings fellow music lovers!

The mixes for the new and long awaited Angeline album are playing loud thru my speakers. Some finishing touches and we will finally be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. It's been quite a journey but we think it'll be worth the wait

And while waiting for the new album we will digitally re-release our latest album 'Disconnected'. It will contain 2 previously unreleased bonus tracks and an updated artwork. Out on all streaming media next friday, Jan 26

From Stryper (FB):

Well, we wrapped the band portions of the videos today and I have to say that we couldn't be more excited! We had fun, we laughed, we had chemistry and because of that we created something really special. The videos absolutely rule and we haven't even seen them yet!!

The songs are powerful and it was amazing getting to know Perry & Shelly and spending time with them. They're such good people and we're truly blessed to have them in our band and in our lives.

Tomorrow we're doing another photo shoot with the one and only Alex Solca and we've already got some killer shots from today's video shoot!

We're so thankful to be doing this after 35 years and who knows, maybe we'll be posting about another album (following many more) in 2053 Ya never know....

New song/video and album details coming soon. Stay tuned,

M

From Osukaru (FB):

Next week we are going into the studio to record a brand new album with release later this year. Yes, that's right! After the successful release of "The Labyrinth" about a year ago around this time, inspiration struck again and for the latter half of 2017 we found ourselves writing and demoing what I believe is going to be our best album to date. Not only did we find our sound as a band with "Transition" and "The Labyrinth", but with this new album we may have found the perfect way to incorporate our early AOR elements as well. How? You will have to wait and see...

Don't know the band, but I love how they pump up the new release.
Nice to see a band really believe in what they are about to put out.

Oh wow, that's very cool news. I actually didn't ever warm to their debut, but I love the concept of this project. Hoping the second album is a monster, which I believe it can be. I hope Atkins has a bit more (or any at all, lol) input this time around.

Lukewarm opinion of the debut aside, 'True love awaits you' is as good as some of the best PM songs, which is a massive compliment. Such a magnificent song on an otherwise lacking disc.

From One Desire (FB):

Brand New One Desire Album Material saw the light of day this week. It’s been long days & nights but finally the songs are finding their shape and we are SUPER excited about these new songs. Fresh direction on the lyrical side. The stories are haunting and we are really pumped up ourselves too which is the most important thing really. The sound is gonna be really huge and pounding on this record. Jiiihaa so much fun to finally have this new beast rolling ????

Drums and bass next up.. Jonas, Ossi? ?

    • Ron Young quotes... After setting their fans on fire, and then subjecting them to the Corona Virus, Great White announce their "Only The Strong Survive Tour" where the VIP package comes with a rabid, exploding Weasel. Dan was a great Tour Manager with tons of respect and experience. He took the fall for these guys because he was the one that ignited it. He came to me and told me they planned to use it and I told him No as he didn't have a licensed pyro tech to do it, didn't have the fire blanket or the required dedicated extinguishers to plan for the worse. Because they couldn't afford the tech or the proper pyro for indoor, they made a tragic error in judgement. Because Dan was so experienced and knew that the things I mentioned weren't present and triggered it, he took the fall when the band knew damn well it was mickey mouse operation. they want an arena show in a club and people died for that ego bullshit. They got lucky on all those other nights. Then when they pulled it off in a venue that was old, low ceiling and didn't tell anyone, a tragedy occurred. It was only a matter of time. Even when I told them they couldn't do it, they still set it up. Good thing I'm a cynical douchebag that knew they were arrogant and waited. Pulled their cheap ass pyro off the stage and threw it in the parking lot out the load out door. Fuckers. Too soon for what?....calling them out. My friend who was the Tour Manager who took the fall for when they burned down that club begs to differ. Read my other response. They knew EXACTLY how dangerous their shitty, low rent pyro was during their first calamity that wasn't meant for indoor use being set off by amateurs. They went for the money play again and used bad judgement once more....so no....it's not "too soon"....it's actually too late. Like so many artists who have done some bad shit...you can love their art and dislike them as humans. But we need to call things what they are. Of all bands to be subjecting folks to danger...no matter what your take on this Virus....they shouldn't be one of the first ones back out there. Not when I know so many guys who are starving, staying off the road for the safety of their fans and band members. After setting their fans on fire, and then subjecting them to the Corona Virus, Great White announce their "Only The Strong Survive Tour" where the VIP package comes with a rabid, exploding Weasel.
    • Yeah, Ron Young ripped into them of Facebook. Talked about the fire and how he advised that they shouldn't have pyro eyc> I'll see if I can find what he said. Interesting, and ballsy to put it out like he did.
    • I get that there may be lasting respirtory issues for those who have had the virus, particularly in serious cases. But th point is the terminology. Need to be careful with wording, or people will diregard what youa re trying to say. "the truth will come out" alludes to some kind of secret supression of information.
    • my favs too. Forget the rest.
    • dead planet is spot on. no conspiracy theory.....this is happening right now all across the world. And in the US for sure. im referring to the unknown factor right now. We refer to millions have recovered but they haven't. there will be lasting issues for a huge amount of these people and overtime this will all come out as the full effects are realised. obviously some have only minor symptoms or no symptoms and they will be ok. but labelling everyone as 'recovered' is just wrong. If you've been on a ventilator you're gonna have on going issues of some degree - varying of course - some minor, but enough to remind you had the Damn thing. some a lot worse.
    • Yeah. I think there may be more to it. Also, walking the streets at 3am suggests that alcohol may have been a factor for both parties. Senseless, nonetheless.
    • Alright here is my review after a few spins: I think this album is fantastic and easily the best this year (there won't be anything like it the rest of the year or years to come). Ted sounds fantastic as always and Steve really gets the opportunity to shine and knocks it out of the park. One thing I haven't seen mentioned yet is the lyrics or the lyrical quality which I think is absolutely top notch. The title track "Lions" hits home as I live five blocks north of what was the "CHAZ/CHOP" in Seattle and we literally had streets on fire (plus other things which can be a whole discussion in of itself). I love music that is uplifting while also being relatable and this album nails it (Lions and Dream Your Heart Out as examples). "Mean It" is my favorite song of the album and really hits home in terms of sounding like a song straight out of the 80s. "Sedona", which is a catchy song, brings in the saxophone which I think is awesome and help rounds out the album's sound. All the instruments are layered very nicely and helps create this "warmth" of the album that is very hard to find. Obviously, Frontiers launched this album on 7/10 which is in heart of summer in the US and I can see why. It's perfect for those summer nights with the windows down, driving next to the beach in a loud V8. TMF is an incredibly unique band (we should all feel very lucky to have their sound in 2020, seriously!!!!!!!!) and just like the first album, I will enjoy for years to come (or till the third one in 2023). Of note: it's really too bad Frontiers didn't release this or the first album (or The Defiant's albums) on vinyl. TMF's sound is exactly what I want to hear on vinyl. To told one or both of their albums in my hand (not CD, bleh) would be amazing. Overall: 10 / 10 (an amazing effort by the guys that I will share with everyone I know)
    • Terrible thing if it is accurate....we are however only hearing one side of the incident...one red flag for me is that the boyfriend was armed...what's up with that? Makes me think there is a lot more to this story than we are hearing...
    • Yes here is our beloved BLM peacefully hard at work, and our brilliant and unbiased media who so many take as gospel, never even uttering a single word about this, oh except for OAN, but their slanted so they don't count, Pathetic.   https://www.the-sun.com/news/1125847/mom-jessica-doty-whitaker-shot-dead-black-lives-matter-argument/?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=sharebarweb     https://www.wnd.com/2020/07/young-mother-shot-head-saying-lives-matter/?utm_source=Facebook&fbclid=IwAR3HAL13mt2au0SsSScwIh60-ON9bvuPOGnElTXFujZz7YpwubCUUPw7NfE
    • Its a very laid back bluesy kind of record and the production is balls.
