Important Announcement from PRETTY MAIDS:

It’s with a heavy heart we have to announce that our brother Ronnie Atkins is in hospital in Basel, Switzerland. He suffered an unfortunate blow to the head and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. He is currently undergoing tests and being observed by specialists.

The latest news is that he is conscious but has to remain in hospital for a while. As a consequence of this we have to cancel the last 3 shows on our tour. Once Ronnie is fully recovered we will come back and play these shows and film the scheduled DVD.
We apologize for this and know you guys travel far to come to these shows. Our main concern at this time is Ronnie’s health.

Pls contact your ticket seller for more information. We will also provide this as soon as we have the information. Thank you for your understanding. You can send Ronnie you best wishes on our Facebook page. We will be back with an update on the situation as soon as we can. ~
PM

Best wishes to Ronnie. He is one my preferred singers.

Happy Easter/spring/long weekend/whatever! By the looks of the whiteboards in my studio,I'm not coming out til Summer... not listed, But currently working on -Defiants 2.0, Darkhorse, NFL spots , commercials,Chicago MRF/Sweden Rock rehearsals..
I'll sleep when I take the dirt nap...
It's good to be working so much...The music business is always feast and famine.
Now..off to finish mixing the new Radio sun album, and finish tracking Rebel Heart. Maybe one day soon I can get back to my other hobby...working on my Manx Dune buggy and posting musings here...
Soon....soon...
Have a great weekend all...

Interested to hear Darkhorse too - the first album was a good one

I should dig that one out again.

Defiants 2.0 is indeed excellent news.  And although I enjoy most things Paul is involved with I have very little interest in another Darkhorse album.  That was similar to Bon Jovi's Lost Highway, solid country rock, but not really my thing.

Been listening to the Defiants album lately, good to hear there'll be a second one. But ''currently working on'' means it'll be a while before it's out..... I'm guessing another year so April 2019 maybe

I loved the first one. Hopefully the second one will be as good or even better.

From Frontiers:

Attention First Signal fans! A nice little update from Daniel Flores for you.....and some other juicy tidbits in there too.....

"Hi Guys!

While you are waiting for the release of the new (Third) Find me record and the new Toby Hitchcock record I'm here to tell you that Ive began working on the third FIRST SIGNAL record (Yeah, it's quite the tongue twister) featuring the always enigmatic Harry Hess from Harem Scarem band on vocals.

It's a huge honor and BIG responsibility of course to take on this task again, thank you all for buying the last record.
The band will be the same as last time but with the addition of the fantastic Johan Niemann (Evergrey, Opeth) on bass and as always my right hand and brother, from another mother Michael Palace (Palace, Kryptonite) again handling all guitars. Of course you'll have to endure my drumming and keyboard arrangements plus production once again. :-)

As always, as with any album, it's nothing without the hard work and melodies from the songwriters. Harry Hess, Carl Dixon, Nigel Bailey, Hal Marabel, Ulrick Lönnqvist, Sören Kronqvist, Daniel Palmqvist, Morgan Jensen, Henrik Hedström,
Lars Edvall, Anderz Wrethov and Andreas Johansson.

We promise to give you every bit of what last record promised and go even beyond.

Thanks to Serafino and the Frontiers guys for making this possible.

Cheers for taking time to read!

Now back to work!"

Been asking myself lately if Palace is still active as a band? Their debut ''Master of the Universe'' from two years ago showed some promise

From Erik Mårtensson (FB/today):

We're just about to start writing a BRAND NEW ECLIPSE album. In the meantime check out our latest single "Killing Me (Sellout Version)". And NO, our next album will NOT be acoustic. It will be full of noisy drums, over-distorted guitars, vocals sounding like a cat with it's tail stuck under a big rock, crappy old keyboards and untuned bass. So it's business as usual... Cheers

In the studio NOW! New Desmond Child & Rouge music 2019.

Whatnow?! Seriously... what?! If it's rock, I'd still expect it to be quite good... surely?

that could be good or shit lol. Past Rouge stuff ain't great.

if it ends up like Discipline I'll be excited.

I've actually never heard Rouge before. I was curious why he'd reform this rather than do a solo album but a google search and I see it was the first thing he ever did, so I guess it's for old time's sake. But yeah, I'll be curious to hear the style. I'd just be amazed if he did a rock album as he strikes me as someone who writes accordingly for the era he's in.

Anyway, it's interesting. He must have a genuine desire to get some new music out there with his name on it, as there's no way in the world he'd be doing it "for the money." This dude must be the richest person in the entire history of music considering the hits he's been a part of and the income he no doubt generates on a daily basis.

Yeah... it's an interesting one. I hope it's a rock album but I guess we'll see.
