Actually the band is Wicked Sensation. Adrenalline Rush is the title of their new release.

The original title of this thread referred to Reece as a "vocal slut for hire". I see it's been changed now.

 

David Reece not only has a fantastic voice, but he is a very kind and genuine person that is doing his best to keep "our music" alive. To go off and call someone that is just plain wrong and I'm glad to see the title of the thread was changed.

It's great seeing David filling up more releases under his discography, he is a very under rated vocalist.

The thing I don't get about these scenarios is the bands who hire him. Is he only ever hired as a vocalist for the album, and that's it? If you're a band, hoping to make a go of it, wouldn't it be better to look for a vocalist to tour with, and someone who will be a part of your band going forward?

 

Personally, I have liked very few of Reece's recent projects. But good luck to him if he's that much in demand - of course you'd take the gigs if they were offered to you... but I don't understand the bands' thinking. Well, I guess they're hope is to have a prolific vocalist to gain a bit more publicity, but what about the future and touring...?

 

Anyway, to the Wicked Sensation disc - that 'Misery' track is pretty awesome.

Geoff all this sudden influx of activity from David reminds that some 10 years back when the mighty Pete Sandberg was practically 'everywhere' I'm sure there's few other vocalists following the same routine aswell.

I do love Reece's voice. But a lot of the recent discs he's sang on (Tango Down aside) have been mediocre at best. Especially the two Bangalore Choir discs. Both were pretty lame compared to "On Target".

Agree! When I heard the news of him doing another BC album, I was like holy shit. Then came Cadence, and although it wasn't bad it wasn't great either. Metaphor was even less great, lol. The Reece/Kronlund was pretty good and would be MY 3rd resent favorite right behind the 2 TD.

Well that's just terrible news. Wasn't Claus Lessman only one of the two original members for about 20 years now? That's just stupid - Bonfire is definitely not Bonfire without Lessman. Horrible idea...
