Well... since KIX started playing a few select dates locally a few years ago the demand for them to tour outside of the Maryland, Virginia, PA. area has been increasing. They have played Rocklahoma 2 years and last summer played California and Arizona. KIX stole the show as the 2011 M3 headliner for the "KIX-OFF PARTY" for the festival. They are now a headlining act on a 3 day cruse...http://www.monstersofrockcruise.com/.

OCTOBER 15, 2011... Island Bay Day (Kent Island) Stevensville MD. (I'll be there)

Damn! No mention of Empire Rock Fest July 28/29 and they don't even have anything scheduled for that weekend...and they will even be in the area! I think that will be one band that I never get to see.

I'm surprised they aren't stopping in the Twin Cities right before that Halfway Jam. Seems like every other band is making their way through to various venues in the Twin Cities.

The dates are somewhat spread out do to the fact that their other bands have shows booked in advance... Steve, Jimmy, and Mark with Funny Money (seeing them this weekend), Ronnie with The Blues Vultures, and Brian with Rhino Bucket (who are playing about 15 minutes from my cabin in mid-August). Look for a few more dates to be added all over the country.. possibly California and Texas.

A small chance that you might get KIX in the U.K.

It all depends on how many dates they can secure... If there are enough to make it financially possible it may just happen. You would be looking at March of 2012.

You mean July 21st/22nd but yeah i know what you mean. I've been hoping that Sioux Falls would eventually get these guys one summer as it seems they've played every other US festival the last few summers except for DRF/ERF. Not sure what's up with that.

Going to see FUNNY MONEY tonight... I'll see if I can find out any new KIX dates or info. :beerbang:

Three stops in Oklahoma and none of them are near me. That is unbelievable.

I'd heard about the Whitesnake show in Concho but didn't really care to see 'em. But Kix is one of my favorites and if they're playing I just might have to go. The Lucky Star Casino is only about a 45 minute drive from here.

I'm going to the Purple Moose show in Ocean City, Md. on Thursday, can't wait :beerbang:

First concert since last June, seems like I'm down to about one show a year anymore.

The House of Blues show in Atlantic City is a maybe, might not be able to get off work.

  • 2 weeks later...

Wow! Just saw this thread.

LV KIX, What do you know about July 9, 2011... Gettysburg Bike Week, Granite Hill Camping Resort in Gettysburg, PA.

Is this basically a biker-only event? I am not a biker in the least, but I would be very interested in driving down there to see Kix, even if I have to camp out! lol

Please let me know ASAP, as I will have to make some quick plans!

Oh, toss me a fucking bone! Will these guys never come out westward? I don't think I'll ever get a chance to see them. Maybe I should start looking into that Monsters of Rock Cruise.

Well, I did just travel 36 hours to see Petra, among other artists, at Cornerstone Festival, so maybe I can justify getting a cheap flight to see them. They're easily one of my favourites, and it kills me everytime I see their tour list.

If you do travel to see them I would pick the weekend of Sept 10th or the following weekend. For two weekends in a row they will be playing both Friday and Saturday nights on their home turf. That way you could catch two shows and have a bit of time to check out the Baltimore Harbor. If you do go see them... GET TICKETS AHEAD OF TIME.

If you hit a show or two... where would you be flying in from?

The cool thing about this area is that you have 3 major airports to choose from... BWI (Baltimore), Regan, Washington National (Wash DC), Dulles (Wash DC).

Let me know if you can work something out.

Here's one that was left off the original schedule posted in this thread:

Fri 9.9. Radisson Penn Harris Hotel & Conference Center, 1150 Camp Hill Bypass, Camp Hill PA, ph: 717.763.7117

Go to the Kix website for directions: Kix shows

Yeah... that wasn't scheduled at the time I posted originally. They will be adding shows all summer and fall long. :beerbang:

They will be adding a show in Brunswick, Maryland really soon.

Damm, didn't see this post until after I got back from Ocean City, would have been cool to meet up for a few beers and put a face to the name. Great show, pretty good place for a show, wish they would have left a few bar stools in the place, 5-6 hours is a long time to stand for us oldtimers. I see they have Lita Ford and Quiet Riot coming soon..
